  1. Killer Instinct came out near the end of SNES life span, SF Alpha which came out a similar time went to PS and Saturn and not SNES. MK3 was made on an inferior Midway machine so SNes looks okay and PS almost identical. I actually think it was a decent attempt given the console.

KI Gold suffered like many N64 games did and that was lack of space on a cartridge.

  2. Blast Corps is quite fun, I'm not quite sure what the plot is. You smash shit snd have fun. I think it probably would have thought a rip off 20 years ago though.

Battletoads isn't bad either. I'll get round to Killer Instinct.

Last time I went camping (with my own regular tent) the site had some of these "premium" bell tents with pretty much the same set up of air bed, fairy lights, rugs, and the people in them constantly moaned because the door was only held shut with duffels, so the wind would just rip through it. The heaters were pretty ineffective too because of how high they are in the centre.

Meat Loaf used to drink his own piss, and believed COVID was a hoax, and now he's dead, having spent his final years with a load of health problems.

Fuck yes. The "community" is massively cult like, and I'm not entirely convinced that a lot of the influential figures aren't just out on the grift and will spout any old bollocks, that they don't believe themselves, just so long as the donations and Patreon subscriptions keep coming in.

Yeah I suppose people would go for the weekend just to believe they were in the company of fellow intellectuals for a weekend and where they can spew bollocks without getting any criticism.

I think at least half don't believe what they say, or at the very least not all of it. They probably believe some but need new content constantly so work on shit that is believable. People say they don't have a motive so tell the truth. Money is a pretty big motive.

  4. I wish I'd kept a list of shows I went to, I've probably been to 50 odd in total.

Promotions Ive been to (Japanese and American ones all UK shows)

    WCW

    WWF/E

    TNA

    NJPW

    ROH

    NOAH

    Dragons Gate UK

    FWA

    RPW

    IPW-UK

    WAW

    All Star

    Chikara

    ICW

  5.

I had a Dreamcast that had some great games like Chuchu rocket, shenmue, Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio. Despite the console failing I don't regret it. I had a GameCube too, which was less memorable. Since then I've only had Nintendo consoles.

  6. My in laws, proper right wingers in the Wellingborough constituency, didn't vote yesterday. They didn't like Pete Bone, a man removed by his own constituency, and didn't want to vote for his missus as she was there to stop Pete Bone standing as an independent. They didn't vote Labour as they didn't want to vote for a candidate that either isn't from the area or lives nearby. I think they did want to vote Labour, as the candidate is from Northamptonshire.

  7. I've tried Castlevania a few times and I find it really hard, to point it's not actually fun. I like a challenge but I also resent things being too hard.

I'm playing Donkey Kong country 3. That's really good fun. the DKC games look amazing for a Super Nes game too, and the game in general has good level design and good game play.

  8. I think you can switch to original graphics as well. Strangely, I've never played a Tomb Raider game so may wait until I see it for a tenner or so as I do fancy giving it a try.

Will likely give Mario Vs Donkey Kong priority over this.

It could be reasoned that the foundations for that culture were laid long in advance in previous eras.

One of the most troubling examples of the kind of cultural conditioning we were subjected to is stuff that occurs in old TV and film - the one that specifically comes to mind is an episode of Up, Pompeii! which was and in some episodes is one of my favourite comedies. The episode in question, though - I have to repress a shiver now: it's when Lurcio gets the night off because the rest of the household are apparently going out, but he finds out the beautiful new neighbour will be coming to see his master, the senator - so he dresses up as the senator and buys a love philtre, which will make the person who drinks it fall in love with the first person they see. But it turns out the household who went out were actually bringing back their lovers, and so a "hilarious" farce ensues.

Growing up bombarded with messages like this from a variety of sources across the cultural landscape, to view the erosion and outright violation of someone's sexual agency as nothing more than a bit of fun at worst and a comedic mishap at best, it's not surprising that insufficient comprehension of what consent entails, both by men who breach it or women who defend said behaviour, has been so endemic.

Yeah, it's why the view "if it offends you don't watch" doesn't wash. It sends a very negative impression and I don't think people realise how impressionable teenagers are. I think people underestimate how much a person can be shaped by what they see on TV. An example is Revenge of the nerds, the protagonists film the neighbour sorority naked and then the main character pretends to be someone's boyfriend in the dark and has sex with her. As a kid I thought hilarious, now urgh.

The behaviour of supposed adult males at university (I went 03-06) was appalling. I watched people grope and make derogatory comments and said nothing, often laughed along. There were reports of rape of campus, the university heavily victim blamed saying the women should dress less provocative.

Yeah, I hate how nice and pally the gladiators are with the contestants.

They were to an extent in the original, but it is a bit more over the top in this one. In the original they would congratulate the contestants but they also seemed annoyed if they failed.

  11. talk Celtic, reading fellow Celtic fans call each other cunts over football, politics and music can be quite entertaining.

I don't do that until doing Wordle, easy sudoku, word connection and the Octurdle.

That Irish lady did so well in the games, but was unlucky in the Eliminator. I saw somebody had posted all the times for the Eliminators, and some of the women's runners-up have better times than winners of other eliminators. That must be a sickener.

Legend doing his heel schtick, then giggling because he's having such a good time has become quite endearing. I enjoyed when Diamond was being a bit heelish last week as well. Still find Fire doing a Hadouken as her "pose" funny. Fury is my favourite lady Gladiator. Nitro is cool.

I think it's three quarter finals, with the fastest runners-up going throug to the semi final with the three winners. A third/fourth place play-off would be cool as well, but maybe that's just because of all the Only Connect I watch.

it must be annoying being better than some of the winners. Maybe it would have been better with 5 winners plus 3 best runners up to make 4 qfs. Most of them just seem excited they were on there.

I've watched a couple of the first series. There aren't many Gladiators, I think 10 in total. Warrior was absolutely fucking huge. Wolf was the smallest male and he was pretty fucking big. I quite like Saracen, not sure why.

Some of the events were a bit shit, like Danger Zone and Atlaspheres wasn't as good as I remember. Slingshot was a bit odd too.

The eliminator was different, men and women had different ones. Women had an overhead ladder, men had overhead bike. I think overall it looks tougher.

Some interesting things happened one contestant doesn't throw a slingshot in duel, just depends to get 5pts and the crowd boo her. She's then asked why she defended and she said she couldn't get the chance and they boo more.

Another time this guy who weighs 14st is miles ahead, but he struggled with the overhead bike due to his weight and his 11st oponent eases through that and climbs the nets quicker.

you also only go through if you a)win b)top 4 highest scorers, if a tie then quickest eliminator time.

Wow, I hadn't realised the DLC price was so high - is that all you get at the moment (ie. are more characters/modes on the way as part of season 2) or is that everything you get as part of the pass? I'd been considering getting the game, but if that's what they're charging for a relatively small amount of extra content...maybe not.

that's all you get as part of season 2.

If think for 20 quid the base game is worth it. However the caw is poor so you can't even make the wrestlers. You have an abundance of moves and hand gestures to make any wrestler but making them look like a wrestler is useless.

They needed to add a cheap 20 quid update with a dozen or more wrestlers or new outfits for wrestlers.

    It needs

    Storm

    Joe

    Ospreay

    White

    Copeland

    Hart

    Swerve

  14. Played again and got cursed. Playing again just annoyed me, Samoa Joe, Toni Storm and Julia Hart are not in it. Neither is Swerve. The season 2 pass is shite, 20 quid for Acclaimed,Storm and a couple of modes.

  15. Enjoyable episode, the women's eliminator was mental. She got a knock then, had 13.5sec wait and won by a mile.

The 57 year old short arse was great too, I really wanted him to win. That was mainly due to Dev being a complete cock womble.

I gave in over Christmas and bought the DLC. Picked the game up again this week and discovered that now, if you’re playing with No DQ and look under the ring for a weapon, there’s a chance that instead of getting an item, Danhausen will pop out and curse you. My Christian Cage was not happy and went on to lose his Ladder Match against Danielson, but it’s a fun little addition to the game.

right I'm playing no dq tonight
