  1. It's not on tv, but I bought the boxset of Arrested Development a few weeks ago and am ploughing through. It's brilliant, if entirely unlike anything else. It's also confirmed I'm a pervert.

It's the best isn't it. It was the constant praise it got on here from people whose comedy judgement I trust in (Rockwell and JLM mainly) that convinced me to give it a go. I don't know why but before that I wrongly assumed it was another shit family based US sitcom, in the mould of 'Two and a Half Men' or something. Couldn't have been further from the truth.

The pervert comment though....do go on.

  2. Haha.. Dopper Dragon is brilliant.

I did actually find an old headshot of MAT's on my PC a while back from when I pasted up the story of unrequited love that was Shockmaster's wooing of MAT via profile comments.

Haha fuck, I remember that, hilarious stuff. That really should be living in off topic gold instead of lost in the internet.

  3. Funnily enough, this is how the topic arose. I came back from the toilet and expressed my dislike for having to wipe up other peoples shit and pubes before I go make poopy. In extreme cases, I simply lay plys of toilet paper over the seat. This is mainly in airports and service stations.

If only there were an invention to stop this, like some kind of, I dunno, seat on the toilet?

    Beat me to it

  4. Yeh hot dog stands were very useful in the gang missions on SA, but apart from that, no, I never really use them. When I'm in a big firefight the outcomes are either I die, or I survive and go find a safehouse to save in.

  5. I was fully expecting this to be a thread about the old men vs women, leaving the seat up vs leaving it down etc......then I find this fucking horror show. What is wrong with you Justice? It's called a toilet SEAT, the clue is in the name. You disgust me :p

  6. I quite like all that stuff if it's all progressive, if every time I went to the gym I got slightly more ripped, and then didn't go back down again it would have been better. Same thing with the relationships in GTA4, like Dent says, it's not the fucking Sims. And it's not real life either, it's a game where the fun should come first. The stuff that only went up was great, proficiency with each gun, driving skill, flying skill etc, just make it all like that.

  7. OK, as we're probably not going to have any more news for a while, new question for all: Which features from Rockstar's post GTA4 games do you hope get included in GTA5? LA Noire's face-scan tech has been discussed a bit already but what about something like RDR's gang hideouts or hunting side missions?

  8. I was just coming here to say the same thing......it is Tommy Vercetti no? Sounded like Ray Liotta to me, "getting away from THAT life, be a family man". Sounds like it could well be.

  9. the site went down with 12 mins to go. lolz

    edit 40 mins to go

I anticipated this and opened up a browser when I got into this work this morning and have left it up on one screen, my countdown's still running smoothly at 23 mins and 30 seconds.

  10. It must be really weird to support a website that has such a spike in traffic once a year. Rockstargames.com isn't a site people check on all the time for news and such, but in 50 minutes time it's going to be the most visited website on the internet for a day or so.

  11. Agree with Woy, in Noire it was the key selling point of the game as well as crucial to the interrogation mechanics, and it was obviously amazing. but until they can do it affordably (it was ultimately the technology costs that put Team Bondi out of business) and fit it onto a single disc I think leave it alone.

  12. Actually, I've just thought of another mission that took me fucking ages to do and it was that bicycle race down the Mount Chiliad. Fucking hell, that was solid.

Oh christ, that was a horrible mission. Usually when I get stuck on race missions I put the odds in my favour a little by blocking off lanes in front of where the race starts, or by shooting down my opponents, but I don't think you could do either on this and it took me ages. Didn't you have to climb back up the fucking mountain to try again each time too?

  13. Confession: I never did do those two awful Zero missions.

The one where you guided the helicopter on a table top game was pretty fun I thought, but yeh, the remote controlled planes can go fuck themselves.

As for Blackson mentioning the VC soundtrack, I think it kind of goes without saying now. Best video game soundtrack there has ever been.

I'd probably agree, but due to the relatively small maps, you constantly have to cut the songs short because you've already reached your destination. You could just drive around for a bit extra obviously, and if it's Wang Chung that's exactly what I'm doing. San Andreas was a lot better for having a long drive and soaking in tunes.

Yeah, I quite often drove around the block a couple of times to finish off the song, especially if it was 'Africa', 'Bark At The Moon' or 'Sunglasses At Night'.

  15. Yeah, they were a mixed bag, the lessons. There was a driving one that drove me nuts for days as well but I can't remember exactly what it was. Most of them were great, though.

I remember bronzing it fairly easily but it probably took me 3 or 4 days of frustration and controller throwing before I got gold on it. Not only the time but not being able to take any damage made it so fucking hard.

  16. Oh god I remember the one, where you had to do a loop around the airfield. I think there were driving lesson ones I struggled more with but yeah that was tough. Still though, being able to fly around and base jump from a plane was awesome. Trying to land a plane on the strip a la Con Air was always a fun challenge too
