  1. Well I'm clearly going to be spending the next 3 or 4 hours going through all of this guys videos. He's amazing. It appears he just steals stuff from stores, then when he gets thrown out he accuses them of being FBI agents.

If we all chip in together could we buy Duane a camcorder so he could document his life in this way?

  2. Watched My Cousin Vinny (again) last night. Absolutely love it. Joe Pesci is awesome and Marisa Tomei is one of the sexiest girls you will ever see on screen. It's a terrific little film, it's well acted (the Judge in particular is great), funny and well written. Very well thought out for a comedy too. I particularly love how Vinny outsmarts the yokel over the $200 he owes him. Also the early exchange between Vinny and Stan when Stan thinks Vinny is a prisoner who's ome to bum him is hilarious.

Ahh, one of my favourite films as a kid, Whenever I see a Buick Skylark in Gran Turismo or other games it always makes me think of it :). Also little fun fact, the judge (you're right he is awesome in that) is the guy who played Herman Munster.

  3. I guess of course you'll get people find it funny if they're the ones that are sucking up to him, licking his arse all the time, and not getting any negative treatment from him. Of course it's funnier then, so perhaps I need to lower myself to that in future.

It's very easy to then turn around and suggest he's only "playing up to peoples' perceptions" - a bit of a convenient excuse there, right?

And strangely, the ones that call him up on it then get called "idiots" but those who are in his fanclub. It's all far too predictable. Am I annoyed? No, I just have an opinion of him, and I'm pretty sure this forum is for discussion. But then I guess you mentioning me in the same breath as Dillkid and Hulkamania Fan shows a lack of understanding.

I dunno man, you sound pretty annoyed.

  4. If he made him laugh or smile widely then yes, of course it does. neil has a dry wit, always has. Some people like it, get over it.

I can't see how anyone would find it funny for neil to abuse his power. He's more than capable of making funny comments or posts without having to resort to that shit.

It's the perception of 'power' that makes it so funny to me. He's a moderator on an internet wrestling forum, not the king, yet people on here go on about it so much, him abusing his 'power' that he fucks with them, he plays up to it very well....a bit like when Caligula gave his horse one of the highest positions in the Roman empire just because he could.....and to me (and clearly others seeing the nominations and votes he has) that's very funny, and only gets funnier when people like you, Dillkid, Hulkamania Fan or whoever get so annoyed by it.

  5. Tough one to call this year, voted for JLM last year and Rick the year before that, both have been good again this year, I enjoy Gladstone in the football threads most of the time (he can come across overly aggressive at times too) and his film knowledge is always a pleasure to read.....but I voted for Chest this year. Consistently good poster, likeable guy and very funny.

  6. Agree with the nominations definitely, most of my favourite posters are included. My vote for the last 3 years has gone to Woyzeck, but I was one of those that went with Neil this year. The blatant abuse of power at times has been hilarious, the stuff with Dillkid and the banhammer thread especially. Also his fucking around when he came into one of the mafia games half way through was hilarious, and some great lines in the paid members forum too.

  7. Bob Willis has been in the UK all winter doing summarising, you could get him. Was Phil Tufnell out in Oz with TMS? If not, he would be a good choice too.

Bob Willis is a good shout, as is Tufnell. Does anyone know if Aggers is reporting the one day series on TMS from Oz? With Sky covering it so well I haven't really needed to follow TMS all winter. Love his voice and he'd be great to get.

  8. Guys need a bit of help, I'm going into a studio to record some voiceover commentary for a new cricket game with the ICC next Friday, in London. The commentator we were going to use has fallen through and we need someone good at short notice. The main problem of course being that anyone good who we'd like to get (Gower, Hussain, Athers, Bumble, Holding etc) are all in Australia until after the one day series. Can anyone suggest good commentators, preferably a 'name' that might be able to get into London next week? I'm going to try some of the TMS guys but not sure if they are in Australia too. I'm also going to try some recently retired cricketers that kids (it's a game based at 9-12 year olds) would recognize. Possibly Alec Stewart or Mark Butcher or someone in that mould. Suggestions please, I know there are some knowledgeable cricket guys in here :)

  9. Starchild skull, was that not outed years ago as the skull of a kid who had some kind of illness?

    Yep.

"What about their confident prediction that DNA testing will prove the child was alien? Well, a DNA sample was taken from the skull, and was subjected to DNA probes designed to detect sequences of DNA that are unique to humans (performed by Dr. David Sweet, Director of the Bureau of Legal Dentistry at the University of British Columbia) The Starchild skull DNA was found to contain both an X and a Y chromosome. This is conclusive evidence that the child was not only human (and male), but both of his parents must have been human as well, for each must have contributed one of the human sex chromosomes.

If a child suffered from untreated hydrocephalus until age four or five, their skull would display distortions in almost every feature. All of the proper bones, prominences, holes, and sutures would be present, as they are in the Starchild skull, but they would be deformed and displaced. This is exactly what we find in the Starchild skull.

Hydrocephalus builds up over time, so a child with this disorder could survive several years, and if untreated (today hydrocephalus is treatable with surgery to drain the fluid) would probably die at several years of age. The resulting large bulbous head would be vaguely reminiscent of the typical image of a gray alien.

The authors virtually ignore this mundane explanation, and dismiss it on unsound grounds. They also go to great lengths to interpret the skull in line with their clearly preferred hypothesis. They therefore demonstrate the central feature of pseudoscience

  10. I heard about this and I was trying to remember which film started off with birds falling from the Sky was it Armageddon?

    Wasnt it, The Core?

Aparently some of them (in like sweden or something) died of external injuries, so make of that what you will.

I think you maybe right, haven't watched this in years!

You were in fact correct on 'The Core'. There are more here

  11. I got given unlimited length for my channel too, for some reason - even though I only use it to post videos of me playing the ukulele now!

    Check them out!

Most of you will likely have missed this as it was in the FWA Ascension thread but i thought it was worth bringing to peoples attention.

Cheers for adding that in here, brilliant stuff

  12. I'm working my way through 30 Rock. I'm about halfway through season two, and I'm finding it's really hitting its stride and making me laugh. The episode where Alec Baldwin was impersonating a black family and Mexican neighbour in the therapy session absolutely cracked me up. It seems to be getting more surreal and silly as well, like an American equivalent of Graham Linehan's stuff.

I'm hooked on it too, I got season 3 for Christmas and burned through it in about 4 days. It's just so easy to watch.

  13. Fantastic day's batting from Cook, Bell and Prior. I reckon if we can stick on another 60-80 runs in the morning session we've got a good chance of another innings victory. Have the Aussies ever suffered three innings defeats in a home test series I wonder?

Also, those runs put Cook only 70 behind Botham now in terms of all time England test runs, and only 100 or so behind Vaughan, Hussain and Compton. Incredible achievement at 26 years old.
