EDIT: On the subject of All In’s attendance not being accurate, can we all take a moment to enjoy the fact that Will Ospreay got a fucking tattoo of the attendance figure! Couldn’t happen to a bigger idiot, bruv.

Is it as daft as AJ Lee’s “dates I won the belt” tattoo(s) though?

A main event with Roderick Strong and a post-match angle with Matt Taven. Fuck off ROH

Yeah they need to spread the big shows out for sure.

    The current schedule is nuts.

    December to May:

    Revolution

    May to November:

    Double or Nothing

    Forbidden Door

    Blood and Guts

    All In

    All Out

    Grand Slam

    WrestleDream

    Full Gear

    Winter Is Coming

You’ve also got Fight For The Fallen and Fyter Fest in there too. I know they’re just names for a show really, but they could be moved to different times in the year to help the spread. In fact you could just drop Fyter Fest completely as the reference is completely dead.

Apparently they’re running a BOGOF for Grand Slam next week to try and fill it. Only 6,000 sold so far according to WrestleTix.

Its fucking mad how not even 3 weeks ago they stuck 81,000 in Wembley (now being touted as 72,000, but I digress), but watching the show it’s like it never even happened

Does anyone know where I can listen to the first 24 episodes of E & C's pod of awesomeness? Spotify and all the main pod sites only seem to start from episode 25 onwards?

You can find a list of what the episodes were at https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/ecs-pod-of-awesomeness-511403/episodes/recent

I think your best bet is to try and find them on YouTube using the episode titles. A user named ‘Bytez Tech’ has some full episodes but I’m not sure whereabouts they’re from, so might not be from #1-#24 as you wanted. Other than that, searching ‘E&C Pod of Awesomeness’ brings up some full episodes, but again I don’t know from how early in the run they were

  4. We’re finally getting native apps for iOS, Android and Roku and offline playback.

With that though comes a small price hike. Existing customers will see an increase of 299yen (taking the price to Y1,298) whereas new customers are to be charged $9.99 (price wasn’t given in Yen in the announcement).

As is often the case, if you sub through Roku rather than your usual Browser, you might be able to get it for a little cheaper.

I dread to think what kind of condition Necro Butcher's brain is in at this point, he's taking a hideous amount of punishment.

Smart enough to charge marks ÂŁ35 for a Meet & Greet

  6. Tried to watch Stratagem last night as it’s on Amazon Prime. Gave up a little over half an hour in. If I’d have paid to go see that I’d have been well fucked off and probably gone home at the interval. Absolute dogshit

This was one of the worst episodes of AEW television for a while, for me. Not because it was bad, but because it felt so boring. Most of the show followed the same pattern - a video package (that often felt like an introductory vignette), then a match. There’s so little variety with the angles and storylines that I found it really hard to get invested in anyone or anything.

See also - Open Challenges. Two on this show alone with FTR setting up their own for next week. It’s all they seem to have these days

I would assume (maybe incorrectly) that it would be Channel 4, who showed a lot of late night anime.

I remember watching both Akira and Ghost In The Shell, at about 3am on random Friday or Saturday nights.

Here is a review of The Boy & The Heron if anyone is interested (I haven't read it)

I see that this might not be Miyazakis final film after all. Truly the Terry Funk of animation.

I can’t imagine anyone else showing it other than Channel 4, not on terrestrial TV at least.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Miyazaki was secretly still working during his “retirement”.  Not necessarily him doing it and then putting someone else’s name on it, but secretly consulting on certain aspects

I missed out on tickets, so if anyone here for any reason finds they can't go and would like to sell, please drop me a line.

Were you looking to go any particular date? There seems to still be plenty of tickets available for the dates in July.

There also doesn’t seem to be the queue on the booking link anymore so you should be able to get straight through

I still haven't had one but I've took a screenshot of the confirmation page and order number and they show on my account so fingers crossed it's all OK.

They mention yesterday that due to the high demand it was slowing down confirmation emails being sent (mine didn’t come through until an hour after purchasing). They’ve said it could be a couple of days before they all get sent through, and to contact the London Coliseum Box Office via email if you still haven’t received it-

If it’s showing in your account and you took a screen shot you should be fine, but drop them an email if you’ve not received it in the next couple of days. I’m willing to give them some leeway as it’s been a massive launch. They tweeted earlier they’ve sold over 100,000 tickets just in the pre-sale

  11. Managed to bag two tickets for Spirited Away in mid May.

I opened my priority link the second it opened (10am) and was already 25,000 in the queue. 90 minutes it took to get to the front, but I got decent tickets in the stalls. They’ve since added an extra £10 onto the price for the same performance, sneaky bastards.

140,000 signed up for the pre-sale. Insane

  12. Roku is still the least problematic way to watch the network.

Since the update they’ve taken away the option to go to the ‘next match’, instead allow you to skip 4 minutes along the time line line. It’s not perfect but it’s the not the worst either.
They also have a ‘quick skip’ rewind and fast forward option, which was in the last version too and worked better.

I know people had a right flap about the first time they redesigned it all, but I came to actually quite like it. It had teething problems initially which seems to be the style, but I came to rewalky like the layout of it all and it was easy to navigate. So naturally they changed it into a right mess. As far as I can tell everything that was there before the redesign is still there, you just need a PhD in order to find certain things

  13. You can’t complain about “all the issues this company has” when you’re the common factor in all of them.

As for the ‘Discipline Committee’ - never heard of that being a thing before. We reckon that got formed in the last few days?

I want to like Punk, I honestly do, but he makes it hard to do so by acting like such a bellend all the time

Disgusting. I mean where would something like that even be? So I know where to avoid and definitely not go near. Especially hostess Chanel. Definitely wouldn't want to bump into her.

    Stupid sexy Chanel.

She looks like she’d be sticky and smell of bins

  16. Spirited Away London tickets go on sale September 5th (next Tuesday) to those who signed up for Priority, then on general sale on September 7th.

Dates also confirmed as running from April 30th to July 20th.

Also worth noting that the show is being presented in Japanese with English captions, as Mone Kamishiraishi is reprising the role of Chihiro

for those interested tickets start at ÂŁ38.50, it's a decent venue so that will get you a good view

Yeah, we were second to back row and could still see everything. Can’t recall what we paid as it was a few years ago now, but don’t think it was much less than that

I’d prefer them not to devalue the belt like that and him pursue the big belt regardless. Hated it when Stone Cold gave away the ICT, would hate it today.

I’m not saying its a great idea and yeah it does perhaps devalue the belt in the process, something which his reign has gone a long way in elevating the belt, but it’s a way of getting the belt off of him without having him get beat. You could run the triple threat of him against Sheamus and Drew back and have one of them take the belt by beating the other. Gets the belt off Gunther without him getting beat and then you’ve got Sheamus v Drew for the IC belt going forward

As for keeping it on him and having Brock challenge for the IC belt via Rumble win - sure, why not? You’d have to explain away all the “winner gets to main event Wrestlemania” marketing, but you can do that with the old New Gen “anything can happen in the WWF”, and you’ve still got the Elimination Chamber to crown a contender to the big belt.

I'm also curious as to how they'll get the IC title off Gunther. There's absolutely no obvious person to dethrone him, unless they go with Cody - and I'm not sure what that would actually achieve in the grand scheme of things. Maybe they could have Jey Uso turn up on Raw and challenge for (and win) the belt?

It’s a tricky one. They could do like they did with Asuka when she left NXT and vacate the belt, sort of a “I’ve proved myself the greatest IC Champion, now I want the World title”. However, if they don’t plan on putting the World title on him, which I don’t think they do right now but it could be an option, what do you do with him afterwards? If you don’t put the belt on him, He’s then been beaten and can either challenge for the IC belt again or just linger in the midcard.

I can’t see them having Nakamura beat Rollins for the title, but Rollins dropping it to Gunther and feuding through the winter months might not be a way to go. Rollins gets a proper smacking which would be very enjoyable to watch, and you can build a babyface (not sure who exactly) in the meantime en route to Wrestlemania.

If they haven’t got a face ready, bring Lesnar back as a face. Belt on Gunther > Lesnar wins the Rumble > Gunther v Lesnar at Wrestlemania  in an America v Evil Foreigner Match
