Sold! Ā Is it on a streaming service? Ā I love me fat Crowe, and I'm hoping his accent was the same one he used playing Zeus in Thor.

Not yet but it probably wonā€™t be too long until it is.

We watched it a couple of months back and itā€™s all kinds of silly. Theres a part early on where Russell has to go perform an exorcism in southern Spain, and he goes on his Moped, which coming from The Vatican wouldā€™ve taken him fucking ages.Ā
Because the wife and I are quite childish we always get a giggle out of calling it ā€˜The Pope Sexorcistā€™.

Any way, Iā€™ve just got back from watching Godzilla Minus OneĀ which I enjoyed immensely. Thereā€™s a moment just before the hour mark that genuinely made me want to jump out of my seat and punch the air it was that amazing. Absolutely recommend this one

They'll recast Kang, Doom isn't gonna be replacing him, itā€™s far too soon. Majors being a wrongun won't change course, They'll recast and he'll fade away.Ā

Isnā€™t their get out for everything now ā€œbecause Multiverseā€? Thatā€™ll explain any kind of recasting and theyā€™ll just move on

The mateā€™s putting nowhere near as much effort in. Just stood there whilst this Lewis chap is throwing his arms around and doing his best to pretend heā€™s being held back.

So what youā€™re saying is the mate is Michael Cole while Lewis is Seth Rollins

Two things Dev, Audrey was born in Belgium so the Mail would class her as an immigrant who came over here and took a British job, and she started making films in the late 1940s which is at least 100 years ahead of the mindset of the average Mail reader.Ā

But they love the 40s donā€™t they? Everything was great back then- Buzz bombs, Rickets - wonderful. Much better than these days

  5. Whatā€™s everyone best of list for the year then?

While Iā€™m sure mine wonā€™t be as cool as some peopleā€™s, these (in no particular order) are the ten that Iā€™ve enjoyed the most this year:

Urne - A Feast of Sorrow
Bell Witch - Futureā€™s Shadow Pt.1 - The Clandestine Gate
    Afsky - Om Hendrede ƅr
Suffocation - Hymns From The Apocrypha
    Wallowing - Earth Reaper
    Cannibal Corpse - Chais Horrific
Panopticon - The Rime of Memory
    Blackbraid - Blackbraid II
Dying Fetus - Make Them Beg For Death
Hellripper - Warlocks Grim & Withered Hags

  6. All Iā€™ve seen so far is Vikingo taking 3 attempts to hit a Springboard Moonsault while Black Taurus just stands there like a fucking idiot. Not selling anything, just standing there like heā€™s waiting for a bus

  7. I enjoy Home Alone 2 but wouldnā€™t ever put it above the first. Home Alone is a very well made film on the whole, whereas 2 just doesnā€™t have the same amount of heart in it, just the wackiness cranked upto 11. Thatā€™s not to say that 2 is bad, it isnā€™t at all. Tim Curry is excellent in his role, even Rob Schneider isnā€™t too bad in it, but it relies too much on repeat jokes/bits for my liking.

Every shitty Irish folk band and tone deaf cunt that plays in the downstairs pub does a cover of it so I'd lost by December 2nd.

According to the gameā€™s website (yes, it has its own website)

ā€œRule #3 - only the original version applies. Enjoy the
    ?#!$&%! out of remixes & coversā€

  9. Sepultura are calling it quits after one final album & tour. Genuinely devastated about this, one of the absolute best live bands around. No way in Hell will I be missing out on this

Decided to take a risk as I felt it was too good to miss and have booked tickets for Amity Affliction in Cardiff tomorrow night.

Excited to be honest but going by myself I'm expecting to be towards the back/sides unless I can sort out the disabled viewing area, but all the same nice to be back at a live gig.

Nothing wrong with flying solo at gigs, but Iā€™m with you in that when I do Iā€™m more in a spot to watch & enjoy the show rather than get in the thick of anything.

I went to see Lorna Shore last week and managed to get a good central spot right in front of the sound-area (soundboard? Mix desk? Whatever you want to call it) and Iā€™m glad I did as the stuff going down in the pit looked fucking ridiculous. Iā€™m too old for that sort of shit as it is, Iā€™m quite happy to be the person at the side of anything who jumps in to help anyone that hits the deck, but there were people throwing fucking roundhouse-kicks and all sorts of other stupid shit. They had to stop briefly because an actual fight broke out in the crowd, which Iā€™ve not seen happen for about 20 years, least not to that scale. Usually anything that does start tends to settle down quite quicklyĀ

There were some PPV shows where WWE's own masters were ruined or unavailable, therefore transferred from a home VHS copy. I can't remember which shows but I'm sure one of my old colleagues will chip in with what they are...Ā

So not everything is as well preserved as you would think in their archive.Ā

I can remember OSW Review mentioning about this in their Wrestlemania IX review and they had a side by side comparison of the Silver Vision version and the Wrestlemania Anthology version. I believe they described the difference as ā€œlike looking at a photograph from the 1700sā€

  12. Finally got round to watching this yesterday, and echo what's been said about the main event. Fantastic stuff from both men.

I don't watch the show regularly, only on a case by case basis depending on what's on, but there was enough here that I wanted to watch the full show.

Some of the promo work throughout it though, ye gods. I'm not as taken with Toni Storm's new act as others are, but she was great with her "you think you're spooky now? I can do spooky.....BLEH!", but to follow that up with whatever that Skye Blue promo was, fucking hell. If she was doing it live then she needs some serious work before she's ever let anywhere near a live mic, but if it was pre-taped and that's the best they could do then everyone involved with it needs a serious talking to.

Then you had Miro and CJ's bit later on that was just as bad. Miro being a wrestler you have a certain expectation of what he can deliver, but CJ is supposedly an actress.

Nigel McGuiness is still an annoying tit and not in the good heel commentator sort of way, but at least Tony Schiavone has been moved into leading the whole thing

I know you can get away with it now as there are two world title's again, but christ, that as a Mania 40 title match is up there with the Swagger/Del Rio's of the world.

As I said, itā€™s purely what I think weā€™ll get, not necessarily what we will.Ā

And even if that match does happen, give the people a reason to get invested in it and a reason to watch it and itā€™ll be fine, itā€™s a long time between now and April. Both guys are more than capable of putting on something worth watching, much more than those two shitarses at 29.

I was absolutely certain last night was going to be the cash in, after that match with jay it would have been perfect. Seth holds it for longer unfortunatelyĀ

At the risk of sounding like Fantasy Booking, which is always shit, I reckon Priest cashes in at the Royal Rumble.

    - Rumble Match opens the night with Drew winning.Ā
    - Rollins retains against whoever (Balor perhaps?) and is all ā€œOK, so thatā€™s me v Drew at Maniaā€.Ā
    - Priest cashes in so youā€™ve got Priest v Drew instead, and you can do Punk v Rollins at Wrestlemania because thatā€™s what people decided was happening as soon as Punk got fired from AEW

Iā€™m not saying itā€™s perfect, but itā€™s what I reckon weā€™ll end up with

Actually it isn't - I saw the photos in WWF Magazine then was disappointed not to have that colour Bret in the game regardless of how many Brets appear. It's because for the motion capture process certain colours gave them problems capturing all the details so they had to record the wrestlers wearing one colour then digitally colourise them the right colour later.

Thats what I thought it would be at first, and I remember the Red Undertaker that @mim731Ā posted (which does look awesome), but thought it might be the other due Bret still having black elbow pads and black on his tights and boots.

And here he is going very off-brand for the sake of motion capture. Or, getting lamped by a Putty Patroller in a WWF X Power Rangers project that never saw the light of day?

I actually quite like that, and Iā€™m surprised that thereā€™s been no wrestling Joker adopt it on the indies.

Its been probably about 25 years since I played that game but Iā€™m assuming thatā€™s the alternative skin should you do a Bret v Bret match?

  17. For anyone that wants to see it, now that theyā€™ve basically been forced to release it
