  1. If I genuinely were ginger, I'd thank the Lord daily that I'm not a baldy.

I survived chippy tea week but was too drunk to take any photos and now have an urge to run for a week.

  2. Have we finally found a subject in which balsamic wankery gets mentioned in the same breath as Discos and it doesn't descend into racism? Never thought I'd see the day.

Pretty much nailed it. I don't think I've seen any of the adverts being listed here, apart from the Strongbow one and that was because I clicked a bloody link to watch it.

Some of us have it forced upon us by live sport.

If we're posting slightly off-kilter stuff

No! He's in France! Excuses don't get much better than that. No chippies in Great Yarmouth?

The Jacksons was probably the last album, at least partially, recorded before he was 18.

Blame it on the Boogie and Can You Feel It are iffy by that marker.

Turning 18 doesn't make you a nonce either though, does it? I'm sure there are people who are sexually attracted to children who live long lives without ever acting on their urges. They aren't criminals, are they?

There are a bunch of albums like this and I would argue that none of them are perfect albums. Perfect albums need songs that are a bit more challenging but ultimately more rewarding. Those kinds of songs could never be a single but without them an album doesn't have the longevity or depth required to really elevate it to that status.

I'd argue that "songs that are... challenging" are generally written by the drummer and have no business on the album. Perfect albums need to flow well, create and sustain a mood, maintain some sort of internal consistency, or, in the best case, combine all of it into telling a story.

Music taste is really a matter of opinion though, so I guess there are people whose perfect album is a fucking mess to my ears.
