It's my New Year's Day tradition! The Royal Rumble is on the 27th January, and it's time to make your wildest predictions for who might show up in the Men's or Women's Rumbles.

Be specific with your gimmicks. If Mighty Molly appears but you picked Molly Holly, if doesn't count.

The deceased are allowed with the exception of the Boss Man.

    That is terrifyingly accurate.

How's the Network behaving? Contemplating signing up for the Rumble.  I cancelled my sub a few months ago due to the buffering and crashing that blighted the viewing experience.

I'm watching the live pre-show, no issues at all (I'm watching on an Android TV).

  3. I'm working my way through the MK11 tutorials at the moment to try and get the platinum trophy. It's only on the advanced tutorials when it's banging on about frame rate attacks and defences that I'm realising how in-depth it is.

Tekken are still my favourite series, Bryan my fighter of choice.

  7. It would depend on things moving from a society where you're paid for the time you work and instead are paid dependent on the work actually being done. I could fit my work into a 4 day week or 6 hour days and be able to argue that as the amount of work being done remains the same, I shouldn't get a pay-cut. However, for someone working in retail for example, it's difficult to argue that they're doing the same amount of work in fewer hours.

@Chest Rockwell assuming you work Monday-Friday and booked 5 days off, you'd also have 9 days of of no work, taking the weekend at the start and end into account. or that's how I figure it!

And in the Rumble the year after that they were just destroying everyone and eliminating them. Eliminated Wyatt, Ziggler(When he was actually popular) and Ambrose.

That's right - for some reason, I thought that was the rumble in the WM30 build.

  10. Punk has posted a match card for what WM30 was supposed to look like, before he walked and Daniel Bryan's rise. We were supposed to get:

    Batista vs Orton

    Punk vs Triple H

    Taker vs Brock

    Cena vs Bray Wyatt

    Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus

    Kane vs Big Show

Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose for the US title

Can't help thinking that what actually happened was about a million times better than that...

  11. 🤼‍♂️ BEST OF THE DECADE 🤼‍♂️

Greatest Moment of the Decade - Brock ending the Streak. Pipebomb. Women getting to actually wrestle in Saudi Arabia.

Funniest Moment of the Decade - Anger Management, Final Deletion ('it's a delapidated boat!), Titus falling over at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

Best Event of the Decade - Mania 30. Royal Rumble 2018. Summerslam 2013 (the one with Cena vs Bryan and Punk vs Lesnar).

Best Match of the Decade - Shield vs Wyatt Family (Elimination Chamber 2014), HBK vs Taker (WM26) and in a slight wildcard pick, the fatal four-way between Lesnar, Joe, Reigns and Strowman at a Summerslam that was just batshit crazy.

Best Male Wrestler of the Decade - AJ Styles. John Cena. Daniel Bryan.

Best Female Wrestler of the Decade - Charlotte Flair. Becky Lynch. Sasha Banks.

🦃 WORST OF THE DECADE 🦃

Worst Event of the Decade - Wrestlemania 27. Saudi Showdown 2019. WM32.

Worst Match of the Decade - Lawler vs Michael Cole (WM27). Goldberg vs Taker. Brothers of Destruction vs DX.

Worst Wrestler of the Decade - Jinder Mahal. Enzo & Big Cass. Big Show.

  12. Worst pro wrestler - Bobby Lashley, Undertaker (as much as it pains me to say it).

Worst match of the year - Goldberg vs Taker, Fiend vs Rollins at Hell in a Cell, Brock vs Cain Velasquez

Worst Event - Hell in a Cell. Royal Rumble. Saudi Showdown or whatever it was called.

Biggest letdown (Anticlimax of the Year) - Kofi's reign ending in 9 seconds. Sami Zayn being reduced to Nakamura's cheerleader.

Stupidest Moment of the Year - Seth Rollins vs Fiend in the cell ending with 'referee stoppage'. The idiot who attacked Bret at the Hall of Fame - I mean, how did he think that was going to end?

  13. Best pro wrestler - Chris Jericho (never thought I'd type that in 2019), Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan

Best women's wrestler - Shayna Baszler, Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch.

Match of the Year - Bryan vs Kofi at Mania, the men's Survivor Series match was great fun. Aleister Black vs Buddy Murphy from TLC too.

Best wrestling event - Money in the Bank had some great matches. TakeOver: New York.

Best wrestling show - NXT, I also enjoyed Summerslam a hell of a lot.

Best feud or angle - NXT invasion in the build-up to Survivor Series.

Moment of the Year - for what it meant from a political, social and equality standpoint, Natayla vs Lacey Evans in Saudi was amazing. Kofi winning at Mania. For giving me a dream match I never knew I wanted, Rhea's 'You've never beaten me, bitch! to Bazsler sold that match in a heartbeat.

    Best babyface - Kofi Kingston.

Best heel - The New Daniel Bryan (such a shame the heel run was as short as it was), Shayna Baszler. And for being an utterly unlikeable, irredeemably hateful dickhead and for simply being a tool for Vince / Triple H to troll their entire audience, Baron Corbin gets my nod.

Funniest moment of the year - Goldberg vs Dolph at Summerslam was the spear that kept on spearing. Keith Lee appearing beside Finn Balor in the No1 Contender triple threat was brilliantly timed too.

Best tag team - Revival. Undisputed Era. And for seeing how much their title win at mania meant to them and how much it pissed off Sasha Banks, the Iiconics.

Best use of social media - the WWE on Fox account. It's not even close.

    League One

    League Two
    Newport County 1 v 1 Leyton Orient

  15. Uri Geller was briefly an Exeter fan and ended up being co-chairmen during our dark, dark, darkest days of Michael Jackson, owners going to prison and relegation to the Conference.

He once, during another relegation battle, decided to help by putting some 'positive energy crystals' behind one of the goals at St James Park. Half time, we were one up (goal scored at the crystals end), all was good.

Second half, we conceded five and lost 5-1. According to Geller, it was not his fault, it was the City fans for 'not thinking positively enough'.

He's not welcome at SJP any more.
