Apologies for my very badly thought-out response. That's the sort of way I would broach the subject with a close friend and after weeks of lockdown and cans of German beer the lines get blurred.

Well, that and the Jimmy Savile profile pic.

  2. We've had a letter from the school, outlining the precautions they have to take. No mixing of age groups, maximum of 15 kids to a class, desks 2 metres apart, limited toilet breaks, amongst many others.

That'll be hell for the kids, seems dumb to put them through that for seven weeks before the summer holidays. She's not going to want to go back in September if that's how she remembers it.

She's definitely not going in now.

  3. Just out of interest, anyone else have a kid in Reception, Year 1 or 6? We've already had a phone call from the school asking if we're sending our Year 1 in on the 1st June.

We've said no, unless there is absolutely minimal risk and infections have reduced even further. I'm not keen for my daughter to part of Johnson's science experiment for the second wave.

  4. 8 January 2005. I'd go back to the day when Exeter, as a non-league side, thrashed Man Utd 0-0 at Old Trafford. Since that day, I've got married and seen both my children being born, but thats still the best day of my life.

Historically, I'd love to go back to Roman times and see the Colloseum in Rome in all its glory.

Yeah sorry for clarification it’d be a regular bank loan. I’ll check those forums. Our debts aren’t massive in the grand scheme of things, I would just prefer to be square with everything and then just focus on one payment to the bank.

If you're looking at a loan, take a look at Zopa. They do peer-to-peer and the interest rates tend to be much lower. When I bought my house, I have to take out a loan to get some work done on it - bank's interest rates meant I'd be paying about 4 grand in interest, same amount borrowed through Zopa took it down to £1500 in interest.

  6. I've been on the homepage on the WWE Network. Managed to park myself opposite the hard camera at the NXT UK taping at Axxess last year for the Saturday afternoon show. On the thumbnail showing Rhea Ripley before she whupped Kacy Catanzaro, I'm just to the left of her in a grey Daniel Bryan t-shirt.

  7. As someone who played FF7 when it first came out and still count it as my favourite game ever, I've been reluctant to go for the remake in case it ruins my nostalgic memories. If I go for it, is it likely to ruin anything?

I've listened to nearly all of the first Wool book from Audible this week. I really like the story and there's something perversely satisfying about listening to a post apocalyptic tale whilst the world fall's to shit (I wasn't ready for The Road)  but the telling of said story isn't all that great. I'm no literary scholar but it all comes across very 'made for t.v.'

I'll stick with it through the other books though because as I said I really like the story.

If post-pandemic apocalypse is good, go with Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel. The premise is a super-flu with a 99% mortality rate has swept the earth. I finished it last week, really enjoyed it.
