Without spoiling anything, Cain Velasquez's head is massively out of proportion compared to his body.

Consider North East Somerset, where Dr Phil Hammond is standing as an independent candidate against Rees Mogg. The last time I checked, the Greens and Lib Dems agreed not to field a candidate against him. Labour, however, decided against. Rees Mogg could genuinely be out on his ear just as Neil Hamilton was in 97 when he was challenged only by Martin Bell, if the field were narrowed just to two. And yet they appear willing to see him returned to Parliament. I don't get it. Better to stand a candidate when you stand no chance of winning than see a big-name Tory sent on his way by working with others, is it?
I'm in the NE Somerset constituency. I will happily vote for anyone that is not Rees-Mogg. Sadly, he's still rather popular in these parts and as much as I'd love to see him get voted out (or horsewhipped), I'll be amazed if he's not re-elected.

I'm just waiting for Scottish football to come into it.

Just watched Exeter stick four past our biggest rivals and generally outplay them for 90 minutes.
Football is rather sodding lovely at times.

Riddle / Goldberg: there was a section on the most recent Goldberg documentary thing on the Network where the two of them ran into each other backstage (totally by accident of course, not planned in any way). The way that scene played out told me WWE will be doing something between them at some point.

Having been to games both at Yeovil and seeing them come to Exeter and heard the homophobic bile they spouted at our players, that doesn't surprise me at all.

I seem to remember Vladimir Kozlov cleanly pinning Undertaker on Smackdown one week, after a fairly bog-standard powerslam. I have no recollection if this ever developed into anything more substantial or if Kozlov just got shunted to WWECW very shortly afterwards.

Part of what made Edge such an excellent heel was that the whole Ultimate Opportunist wasn't just played up to as air_raid notes above, but it was true. Got a world title? He'll cheat to win it off you. Off the road injured? He'll shag your missus and you'll get fired. For me, the main reason his persona worked was because he wasn't just playing a sleazy bastard, he really was a sleazy bastard.

Just had some training in how to use Microsoft Access. The trainer told me there 'are three main parts of Access we use. Tables...'
Me, without thinking: Ladders and chairs?
Him: What?

I am far too invested in this for a man of my advancing years.

It was more like You've Been Framed than a death match.
Aye, but even so, some of the editing was weird. The women's match saw a cut to the crowd just as Riho connected with the top rope leg drop so we didn't see the impact, same with a slam to the outside in another match. Yet the chair shot on Cody and the glass coffee tables were shown without edits. Just seemed really inconsistent.

Having just watched the Sunday morning ITV screening, I'm amazed the coffee table spot was screened in full.

I can't help thinking that if they did have Punk, surely they'd be advertising the hell out of it? I mean, they're going to get a decent enough audience to start with, with it being a new show and all. But if all the talk Punk is heading back to the 'E is all a smokescreen, and they have signed the biggest name in wrestling not currently attached to a promotion, that shit is going to be everywhere. Ambrose was a great surprise, but it was an unopposed PPV, from what I remember.
If the choice is NXT or AEW with some surprise names rumoured, or NXT or AEW with CM Punk, what are you going to watch?

Back on topic, one of my best charity shop finds was a completely untouched 1989 Ghostbusters colouring book.
One of my worst was when I was a kid, my mum bought me a Where's Wally book from the local charidee shop. I opened it, only to find Wally had been circled on every page.

Meltzer said today that one of the ideas, if they can close the deal, is to use this to get to Brock Vs. Cain Velasquez.
Are Mysterio and Velasquez supposed to be buddies in the same way Rey and Floyd Mayweather were in 2008?

Shadow of Rome on PS2. A game begging for a remaster - the stealth bits are so-so, the gladiator sections are some of the most fun moments I've had in gaming. Any game where you can cut someone's arm off then beat them to death with it gets a hearty thumbs-up from me.
An update now, with online multiplayer please Capcom.

In possibly unrelated Punk news, he's done a Q&A on Twitter. One of the questions was when is he coming back to the UK?
His answer was Maybe soon, someone called Kenny is trying to book him.

But does it damage Rollins? I don't think it does. In a year, when he's talking it big in the ring, no-one is gonna be saying "yeah but remember when you were scared?"
If everyone else screams and cries in fear, then no, it doesn't damage Rollins. But as already pointed out, Balor didn't at Summerslam. If Rollins is the only one, then he looks like a chump and no-one else does.

Or, using petty WWE thinking, he's a guy with some name value and they've signed him purely to stop him from becoming Johnny Dynamite on Wednesday nights and have no plans for him in the slightest.

I really enjoyed that. Best Saudi show by some distance. And I got weirdly emotional explaining to my daughters why the women's match was so huge. Admittedly that was ruined by one of them calling The Fiend 'Graham Wyatt' but the right result at the end.
Tyson Fury was really good too. Even if he did yell 'come here you pussy!' right at the end.
