  1. It's very worrying with the way pro-palestinian support is being gaslit by powerful elements of government and media. I guess it shows the pervasiveness of Israeli lobbying. You'd think though that the optics of the news coming out of Gaza would make these people see sense, and bring some balance to their rhetoric.

  2. That is horrendous! Are Celtic FC that scared of blow back? What is wrong with showing support for Palestine?

I'm not aware of who the Green Brigade are. I'm assuming they're a Celtic supporters group. Can this suspension of their season tickets be fully attributed to the protest in support of Palestine?

  3. What's the logic behind suppressing support for Palestine? We've had massive demonstrations all over the country in support of Palestine. These were barely covered in national media. There have been incidents at Liverpool FC and now Man Utd where supporters were removed from the ground or had their Palestine sweatshirt and flag removed/confiscated. That's in stark contrast to Celtic FC. Is that due to the strong links that Celtic have with Ireland? There have also been incidents of people being reprimanded by their employer because they showed support for Palestine. We had, predominantly Western, high ranking politicians parroting "Israel has a right to defend itself." Brazenly ignoring how ridiculous that made them look.  Is Israeli state propaganda and it's position in the Middle East really this important to people with decision making influence?

  4. I used to get these Wasabi nuts from a market stall that sold various savoury and dried fruit snacks. The Wasabi nuts were green in colour and looked like flying saucers. Crispy coating with a peanut in the middle. They would cause an explosion in my nasal cavity. Most people hated them and couldn't understand why I liked them. Their loss.

  5. Spoiler

Barney (Stallone) murdering someone to cover his absence from the majority of the film. Is a very strange way of being a hero.

It was very strangely filmed and full of incredibly hammy acting. Yes. I know I was watching The Expendables. The film seemed to have been made very cheaply. Not quite sure where the budget went.

Gave John Wick 4 a watch this morning now that it's turned up on on Amazon Prime.

It was pretty good. Not as many people getting kicked in the dick, but the dog was cool. I bet it hurt taking that bump down all those steps at the end. Donnie Yen was good, but then he's Donnie Yen, so he's bound to be. That big German fella taking that spill over the railing and landing headfirst on that staircase was grim, but it's always a cracking action yarn. I bet it cost a fortune CGing his finger out as well. Might give the Continental a watch next.

The Continental was fun. Only 3 parts. We'll worth a watch.

I noticed Hobbs, and Paquette, as was in 142, overlooking that area. Who else was there?

Paq, Satnam Singh, I think Ogogo was also there. Billington Bulldogs, among others that I didn't recognise. There were probably a number of low ranking celebraties too.

  8. The flame throwers at the entrance way must have left some of the fans looking as if they'd been barbecued. We could feel the heatblast at the back of the floor section.

Lots of the unbooked talent could be seen watching the show from the area used for the vehicle (Limo/Van/Golf buggy) entrances.

  9. Sandys chip shop in Folkestone. Lovely and crispy chips. We went back for seconds on our walk . I forgot to take a picture. The stalking seagulls compelled us to consume the chips quickly. Quite impressed with the efforts made by Folkestone in  conserving their beachfront. Sandys is also veggie friendly. Unlike uber posh Wheelers in Dover.
