  1. So how many matches do we think we are looking at for Mania. Pre show to main event? You'd have to have the following.

    1. Universal Title

    2. WWE Title

    3. Smackdown Tag Titles

    4. Raw Tag Titles

    5. Intercontinental

    6. US Title

    7. Raw Women's

    8. Smackdown Women's.

    9. Cruiserweight

    10. Steph/HHH v Rousey/Angle

    11. Cena v Undertaker.

    12. Andre The Giant Battle Royal

    13. Fabulous Moolah Battle Royal.

Obviously I'm not suggesting that's the order but that is a shit load of matches. Have I missed any? This is going to be a long show.

  2. I don't think it is fair to say that NJPW's style has been influenced by WWE @BomberPat

I think you could say that the NJPW main event style has been influenced by WWE, but even that is not quite right. The influence of AJ Styles on both of them over the last 5 years is probably something that should not be overlooked. Styles took more of the modern American style into New Japan, and he brought little bits of New Japan with him when he went to the 'E.

The rest of New Japan's style is a million miles away from WWE. The juniors like Ospreay, Hiromu, and Kushida certainly wouldn't fit, and neither would anyone who contests the Never Openweight title. Lesnar may be stiff but he isn't going to have a Suzuki/Goto style match with Reigns at Mania or any day of the week for that matter.

  3. I think that AJ v Wilder would be a genuine 50/50 fight. Both have great power but both have potential flaws. I think the person Wilder does need to stay away from though is Tyson Fury. Tyson would completely outbox Wilder and it would be like watching a super sized version of the David Lemieux v Billy Joe Saunders fight.

  4. I don't think strength will be a problem for Dubois Wand, it will be speed. Handspeed and footwork looked very cumbersome. I know he is only young but those are 2 things that really need sorting out if he is going to be challenging for any titles.

  5. Does anyone think they go with Cena/Rousey v HHH/Steph. Rousey needs someone to do the promo work and they are going to need someone with Rousey who can hold the match together with HHH. If he does and up in a mixed bag at least Cena won't have to propose at the end this year.

Peter Serafinowicz’s finest work will always be Look Around You. Series 1 was some of funniest and original comedy in a long time.

My favourite bit of Look Around You. Perfectly capturing the absolute cobblers that we had to watch at primary school in the late 70s/early 80s

  7. Don't start with the whole "Batter bits" thing @Ralphy it will turn into a full on scrumps v scraps war that will make the chocolate biscuit kerfuffle seem positively civilized.

Most chippies here in Lincoln sell kebabs as well. The one I use is pretty decent. I didn't notice cod roe on your list of permissible chip shop items Kaz?

  8. You've just assumed the worst in someone based on a tattoo @Louch

You are willing to give Bram a pass because he wasn't charged, which isn't the same as not doing what he was accused of, and you are willing to say that Paige was trouble in the relationship based on a tattoo.

You always want to think the best of the man in the situation and the worst of the woman. You don't have to tell us the name of the woman who hurt you in the past, but you need to move on from it.

  9. Whoever Haye fights I'm in their camp. Haye will never be forgiven for the Audley debacle.

As for all this "Real fight" nonsense, what most people forget is that Smith is a Scouse. In a real fight he'd glass Holzken and get his brothers to hold him while he hit him with a scaffold pole.

  10. If someone got injured they were always going to have this problem, it's a shame it has to be now.

Im not sure who realistically they could have had on standby at this sort of level but you might have thought the standby fighter might be German.

  11. Eubank won't get any better because he doesn't listen to anyone. If he trained with a good trainer he has the foundations of a really good fighter. Him vs David Lemieux would be a hell of a scrap. I can't see him causing Saunders, Canelo, or GGG any problems though and that where the money and the titles are.

cant see Smith having too much trouble with Braemer, hes 39, past his best and is cutting down to make the weight. German scorecards aintas bad as they once were but i see Smith stopping him convincingly.

I expect Smith to win. I had money on him to win the whole thing before it started. I did him and Gassiev individually and as a double.

Also @wandshogun09 you missed May 11th Usyk v Gassiev off your list. That has the potential to be fight of the year.

  13. If Smith wins Egg. Beating Braehmer in Germany isn't a given.

The next 3 months is ridiculous Wand. In my 30+ years as a boxing fan I can't remember a time where big fights just keep coming week after week.

  14. 5-1 to 4-1 is shortening up your Lordship not drifting out but your point is well made. Most of what I have read today seems to be Groves on points so that might get a little shorter yet.

  15. I don't think that it makes it look second rate. The way T20 and 50 over cricket are going they are nearly becoming a different sport from  multi day cricket. The way i'm starting to look at it is this. Cricket is becoming more like athletics. Usain Bolt was brilliant at 100 and 200 metres but Jamaica didn't expect him to do the 5 and 10 thousand metres just because he was an athlete. You will get players becoming more specialised as the game goes on. There will still be the odd player who can do all of the disciplines of the game (Decathlon) but there will not be lots of them.
