I'm not sure you could get a sense of how Lo Greco looked in 40 seconds.
I also don't understand the love for Khan and I agree with Tilders that Brook will batter him.

I'd seen that Codders it was the dropping LBW I hadn't seen. If it mentions that in the article my apologies, but as an umpire my eyesight is very poor.

Have you got a source for that CricketTilde? Having gone through loads of presentations from various folks in the ECB that hasn't come up. There was some talk of doing away with the ball pitching outside leg stump not automatically been not out and treating it like ball pitching outside off stump.
-
Why don't we just have one v one cricket and have done with it. Each captain puts up his 1 to 11 like the Ryder Cup singles then they get to bowl 1 ball at each other, highest runs wins. Whole game takes 22 balls. Perhaps the ECB might be happy then.

Glorious weather here in Lincolnshire. Just packing my umpiring gear for Saturday. As I am at Skegness I will still need 2 jumpers and hand warmers because that ground is always bloody cold.

Sorry to be that guy but sadly he's not, it was an MCN April fools gag. Shame, it would have been great to see
That was a good gag. Got me big time.

So the F1 at the weekend was pretty exciting. Danny Ric was tremendous and Verstappen was an idiot. The way the whole race panned out with the Safety Car should have ensured a Red Bull 1-2. Because Max gets over committed to moves that are not on he costs them points. Danny Ric is driving himself into the Mercedes for next year. Unless Bottas can really start to pull his finger out he is in trouble.
This weekend is MotoGP at COTA which is a great track. Crutchlow as the first Brit since Barry Sheene to lead the 500/MotoGP championship is incredible, but even more incredible is the fact that 53 year old, 1993 500cc World Champion Kevin Schwantz is riding as a wild card in Moto2. It's roughly the equivalent of when the Brazilian footballer Socrates turned out for Garforth Town when he was 50. Except instead of Garforth he played for Aston Villa. That's what Schwantz is doing this weekend.

I thought the basis of your gimmick was that you never quoted your sources.

How much did you have on that?

Had £10 e/w on Tiger Roll at 14/1, ended £245 up for the day.
Did you back any other horses TildeGuy?

The Dutchman and I Just Know from the stat based part of my brain based on 20 years worth of trends. Baie Des Iles on the money for it earlier this week as I mentioned earlier even though it fits virtually non of the trends.

War Raiders sounds like a 10p bag of crisps you got from the corner shop in the 80s. "Mum's given me 20p so I'm off to the shop for a finger of fudge and a pack of war raiders"

Can't tell from the pic, but he's either got caps, oppan Gangrel-Style (*does horse-riding dance), or he's got a mouth-guard with a fang design on it.
I thought we'd established that Gangrel-style was eating crisps on a petrol station forecourt at 2 in the morning.

The National is a funny race. The marked improvement of the quality of horses have changed it a lot. Personally I wouldn't back either of those @thevestofdeanambrose Tiger Roll won that Mickey mouse race at Cheltenham which is no guide for the National. Davey Russell as pilot is a interesting booking though. Total Recall is class but fell last time. Not ideal preparation. I had a few quid each way earlier in the week on Baie Des Iles at 40s, and it is currently 16s so I'm not the only one. Perhaps a year to early but will love the ground.

I love Elias. He's got that look in his eye that says "Absolute mayhem could break out at any minute, but only if I want it" The same sort of look Oliver Reed had when he'd had a drink and someone had asked him a stupid question on a chat show.

Still on iPlayer is a docudrama about the comedian Dave Allen, "Dave Allen at Peace." Littlefinger from GoT plays Allen.
It's a mix of biographical stuff and r reenactments of sketches and monologues.
Littlefinger played Allen and Varys played his brother.
It was very good I thought. If you watched the documentary afterwards you could see how well Aiden Gillen played him.

Call the police because Jack Miller was robbed. MotoGP ignoring its own start procedure rules cost Miller that race. As for Marquez, @Harry Wiseau Is right. Could have been black flagged at least twice. Rossi's team telling him to fuck off when he tried to go and apologise made Neil Warnock look like a saint the other night. The look in Lin Jarvis's eye as he came into the garage would have killed an elephant. That really was Moto2 Marquez today.

All fighting isn't MMA though is it. How long has MMA been around. UFC since 93 and at a push you could say MMA has been around since 1980. How long has wrestling been around 100+ years.
Wrestling seemed to do pretty well in all those years up to the invention of MMA as a concept, and no one was promoting it as anything other than wrestling. If anything the reverse if your argument is true. MMA is copying wrestling. They took all the things that help make wrestling great and used them to make their often dull fights better. Look at the amount of vehicles destroyed in backstage wrestling angles, then look at McGregor and his bus. If anything MMA is stupider than wrestling because they don't get some trainees to dress up as cops and pretend to arrest the person who did the damage.

Pro wrestling absolutely should pretend be MMA, if not, what should it pretend to be?
How about it doesn't pretend to be anything other than Pro Wrestling. Its changed over the years but pro wrestling at its best still better than MMA every day of the week.

DeGale's problems go all the way back to his first fight. Degale is a really good boxer, but in that first fight he got booed because it wasn't very exciting to watch. I think that in his mind after that he had to fight more than box so the crowd didn't boo him. Then this is magnified when he loses to Groves. That was an exciting fight, even though he lost. Every big fight he has had since has been tougher than it needed to be because his ego wont let the booing from that first fight go. If he had boxed through his career he wouldn't be quite so broken down now. I think Truax will beat him tonight.

Canet (In the blue) had been mad with Yurchenko (in the green) earlier in the lap because Canet felt Yurchenko wasn't going quick enough and that he ruined his lap. Canet then catches him up and does that. The commentators actually called it. He didn't mean to crash himself, just to knock Yurchenko off. Its just madness.
-
The guy in the green race suit is trying to turn in to the corner and the guy in blue just drives straight across the track to take him out. You can't do that.
-
Motorsport overload this weekend. F1, MotoGP, and Touring Cars. Have only watched the MotoGP FP1 so far. Controversy already in Moto 3 as Aron Canet who is one of the favourites did this clearly on purpose
And received no penalty from the stewards. If you can get away with this bullshit it will end up like the game Road Rash.

Perhaps the Saudi's are booking that show as well Dart, just to annoy the British fans.
