  1. That is a super post wand. I must watch that fight a couple of times a year, and that last round probably once a month. The sheer savagery of it is breathtaking, Joe Goosen with possibly the greatest bits of advice in a boxing match. As you say it's the calmness of the delivery that makes it.

Then at the end as the ring fills with people there is just a moment where the camera lingers on Castillo. The look of hurt in his eyes is not just from the physical beating he took but from tbe fact that he had victory snatched from him when it was so clearly in his grasp.

A shame we didn't get to see Corrales fight Hatton. That would have been some fight.

  2. MotoGP and Moto3 were crazy races again yesterday. The Moto3 was as usual a compelling race. Until about 7 laps to go 3 seconds covered 19 riders but Aron Canet (Mentioned earlier as a lunatic) got into a corner far too quickly and took 3 other riders and himself out.

Then in the GP a similar situation, but more of a racing incident where 2nd, 3rd, and 4th took each other out of what was shaping up to be a fantastic finish to what had already been an exciting race. Watch them on catch up if you can.

On a side note, I still don't see anything in Joe Joyce. Everything he did appeared to be in slow motion and cumbersome. Can't help but thinking he will get destroyed against even slightly better opposition. Oh, and I only saw the end of his ring walk, but what was with the Mexican shit?

I agree with you on Joyce. Matt Macklin seemed to invent a word on commentary for this fight which was "Clumbersome" That describes Joyce pretty well, clumsy and cumbersome.

I think the inclusion of vegetables that aren't deep fried should exclude that pic from this thread

If you can't recognise a good helping of mushy peas you don't belong in this thread.

  5. Well the F1 at the weekend was insane. Roughly the F1 equivalent of The Grand National, more twists and turns than a Vince Russo booked episode of Nitro. Danny Ric turning on his own partner and taking him out was pure Russo, as was Grosjean dumping his car into the wall and trying to blame Ericcson. Vettel and his massive attempted overtake that lead to his downfall was the equivalent of Goldberg spearing Russo out of the cage and to complete this Russo-F1 analogy we had Bottas taking himself out with the puncture, an act of accidental sabotage Vinny Ru would have been proud of, and that barely describes 1 tenth of the action. Alonso finishing where he did after that early double puncture was remarkable. Can we race in Baku every time.

  6. I'm not sure you could get a sense of how Lo Greco looked in 40 seconds.

I also don't understand the love for Khan and I agree with Tilders that Brook will batter him.

  7. So the F1 at the weekend was pretty exciting. Danny Ric was tremendous and Verstappen was an idiot. The way the whole race panned out with the Safety Car should have ensured a Red Bull 1-2. Because Max gets over committed to moves that are not on he costs them points. Danny Ric is driving himself into the Mercedes for next year. Unless Bottas can really start to pull his finger out he is in trouble.

This weekend is MotoGP at COTA which is a great track. Crutchlow as the first Brit since Barry Sheene to lead the 500/MotoGP championship is incredible, but even more incredible is the fact that 53 year old, 1993 500cc World Champion Kevin Schwantz is riding as a wild card in Moto2. It's roughly the equivalent of when the Brazilian footballer Socrates turned out for Garforth Town when he was 50. Except instead of Garforth he played for Aston Villa. That's what Schwantz is doing this weekend.

  8. The Dutchman and I Just Know from the stat based part of my brain based on 20 years worth of trends. Baie Des Iles on the money for it earlier this week as I mentioned earlier even though it fits virtually non of the trends.

Can't tell from the pic, but he's either got caps, oppan Gangrel-Style (*does horse-riding dance), or he's got a mouth-guard with a fang design on it.

I thought we'd established that Gangrel-style was eating crisps on a petrol station forecourt at 2 in the morning.

  10. The National is a funny race. The marked improvement of the quality of horses have changed it a lot. Personally I wouldn't back either of those @thevestofdeanambrose Tiger Roll won that Mickey mouse race at Cheltenham which is no guide for the National. Davey Russell as pilot is a interesting booking though. Total Recall is class but fell last time. Not ideal preparation. I had a few quid each way earlier in the week on Baie Des Iles at 40s, and it is currently 16s so I'm not the only one. Perhaps a year to early but will love the ground.

  11. I love Elias. He's got that look in his eye that says "Absolute mayhem could break out at any minute, but only if I want it" The same sort of look Oliver Reed had when he'd had a drink and someone had asked him a stupid question on a chat show.
