  1. I believe Mr Shoe is correct. There was no PAL release of Chrono Trigger. I have the NTSC version. I used to sell computer games of all sorts before downloading was a thing. I was asked on a pretty regular basis "What does PAL stand for?" I don't actually know but the answer I always gave was "Not as good as NTSC" because they weren't.

The Snes was always best for adventures and platform games. Mario pisses all over Sonic from a great height and anyone who thinks any different needs to have a long talk to themselves. There were great RPG's for the Snes. There was a Lord Of The Rings game for the Snes that was pretty decent and you could get some of the earlier Final Fantasy games as well. I think I've got 5 and 6 tucked away somewhere.

    TDK has it's faults

I know he does, supports Wolves, and is a copper who has never arrested anyone. I don't think we should call him "It" though.

Alex Shane did a shoot interview? A proper one, with one single camera, badly lit room with someone behind the camera asking barely audible questions for three hours? One of those shoot interviews?

3 hours doesn't sound long enough for Alex. You sure it want part 1 of 2?

Love him or hate him the one thing Alex can do is talk, and he never stops trying to work whoever he is talking to. I heard he even worked his own grandma, it was her who told me.

  4. The whole vhs/DVD thing was a farce. The FWA didn't get into the DVD sales thing until it was far too late, as they stuck with videotape. The reason given by Alex was that people in the north couldn't afford to buy DVD players. Some stuff came out on DVD much later but the FWA was pretty much on its arse at that point.

  5. I've never worked in an office, but people who I know who have tell me that The Office pretty much nails it and that most of them could identify the different characters in people they had worked with.

On the other hand though I am an absolute bellend, and I recognise that Gervais is one of the premier league bellends. If you wanted to sign him for Bellendchester United from his current team Real Bellend you would have to pay Neymar levels of money for him.

Disagree about Dylan and Electric Folk, I'd say other artists who had covered his songs with electric guitars influenced him to give it a shot.  Dylan isn't really that influential, he was the next step in the road from Guthrie to Rambling Jack Elliott.  Dylan was great for a time but he wasn't a game changer.

EDIT - @Lion_of_the_Midlands He is now, but Pete Waterman was doing it first, that's why I mentioned SAW as being influential and game changing.

There is quite a bit of overlap between Cowell's earlier years and SAW. Waterman and co only influenced pop music. Cowell has also influenced music for old people, see Boyle and Potts for example. At the end of the day SAW made £60 million worldwide, Cowell is worth about £400 million, and while money isn't a way of keeping score, Cowell's influence has become all pervasive in a way that Waterman's never did.

  7. Whether you like it or not the person with the biggest influence on music is Simon Cowell. The music and the TV shows he is responsible for have changed the music business completely.

Sure there have always been manufactured pop groups but he changed the nature of it. He found a way to make money off the process by showing us how they were put together. He's the magician that showed us the tricks. He is a high waist banded closet homosexual botox loving Penn and Teller rolled into one smug man.

Actually the football nonsense might be a crime. Just a couple more investigations should clear it up.

I don't think who downvoted Teedy is a crime. There is no doubt in my mind though that a lot of football transfers are as dodgy as fuck. Its more sophisticated now than bank accounts in the names of people's dogs but it still goes on.

  9. Well officer, could you work out who broke into my shed and stole my lawnmower and chainsaw rather than wasting your time working out who doesn't like what you say about football on the internet. I know it's obviously below your Sherlock like deductive powers but it's still a crime, unlike your football nonsense.

Had a hectic week so only just saw it. No ones beating Usyk at that weight are they? The only shot you have is to pot shot and knock him out and Gassiev is probably the best equipped to do that and didnt get sniff.

Usyk doesn't care about the weight though does he. He has already said he will fight Bellew at heavyweight, and I can't see Bellew getting near him at that weight either. Is he tall enough to trouble the big guns off the division though? If he is Usyk v Joshua could be interesting.
