I can't believe that Cody Rhodes would sign a deal tying him down anywhere, I'd be amazed if that was true.

It does come across as more professional than it was, but they really need to do more regular tapings as they lose so much momentum with such a big gap between them.

I must say that the smaller soundstage they used for the last episode looked nowhere near as good as the biggest one they used for the ones previous. Those extra few hundred seats make such a big difference .

This is somewhat of a step up for the company in that sense. 

I meant 'lower down;' as a positive.

I didn't realise until watching that Spike is actually lower down the EPG than Challenge. I still think that Sunday night is a slightly better timeslot, despite the tradition of Friday night wrestling on UK screens.

Its because its TNA and Reby stupidly mouthing off on social media. Legally TNA hold all the cards as you say. Wrestling is a carny and petty business. I don't think Anthem care.

You're right in many ways. Rightly or wrongly, I think there is a tendency for the IWC to jump on anything negative TNA/Impact does. I don't think there would be the same level of uproar had an ROH wrestler made the jump to TNA under similar circumstances.

That said, and knowing that to be the case, I think it would be best for TNA to just be the better man and let this one slide. They're in a can't win situation really, and I think everyone knows that Matt and Jeff probably did go above and beyond the call of duty to develop the gimmick while the company was in flux.

TBH I do think its rather petty as Impact have little to gain from all this.

That said, if it were WWE sending out cease and desists, no-one would bat an eyelid.

I think I've seen it suggested that they were headed back to Soundstage 20 in April.

I thought the show was decent enough it certainly looks a lot better back in 21 better lit and a much improved set

Easily the biggest plus for me. The graphics and overall presentation were much better, and I give a lot of the credit to Kevin Sullivan.

Back in soundstage 21 now, it actually 'felt' like an episode of Impact, and it looked like there were at least some people in the crowd for a change. Definately agree with the need for the video wall back. The crowd was still very quiet for supposedly 1,000+ people though.

As for how good the episode was, I suppose it depends what you like in your wrestling shows these days tbh. There was at least enough going on and I never got the urge to switch it off. Knowing where they're going with the Borash/Josh Matthews stuff, I can live with the bickering for a few weeks I suppose (thought it was overdone though).

Never seen Reno Scum before, but they're an interesting addition. 

They could do with more wrestling, and I expect that to improve. But hell, car crash wrestling shows are my favourite anyway.

Tonight

Schiavone's podcast has really improved over recent weeks, i'm half way through the DDP one now and its decent stuff. Not as good as Bruce's though, which should be interesting if they touch upon his return to Impact Wrestling.

Hulk vs Vince is amazing and you all know it. This place was built on that ladder legdrop!

I loved it too. Even the Piper run-it that absolutely no-one expected.

Normally, bringing back sl many old employees wouldn't be considered a positive at all. But to be honest, with how much the company regressed post-2013, you have to look at it favourably.

Its a good intro apart from the very generic rock music. Kevin Sullivan is good at what he does though, definately an asset.

Interesting to see them tweet these photos of the production team and road agents. You often feel that the show is put together by half a dozen people, but that makes you appreciate what a huge endeavour producing wrestling for TV really is.

The lads. Abyss looks like he's straight off the stage of a production of Jack and the Beanstalk at Skegness.

Some interesting stuff here. I tend to agree that Maria is a pretty big loss tbh.

Just listened to Russo's latest podcast with Disco. I like Russo but fuck me he's bitter that TNA haven't given him a call.

After the Spike TV debacle, I'm amazed at his lack of self awareness.

Josh Matthews was kicked off commentary in last night's taping.

Magnus, Chris Masters (Chris Adonis) and Matt Morgan all made their returns/debuts, face James Storm is being given a main event push, and a heel turn for EC3 by the looks of it.

More tapings tonight and a big debut being teased. I hope Jarrett's 'big reveals' are less underwhelming that Dixie's.

Jim Ross was namedropped a few times in last night's tapings, which was a little odd. Hard to see if he'd fit in with JB being given the play by play role though.
