It was over 10 years ago so I’ve no idea what thread it was in. Basically he told me I was subjecting my daughters to child abuse by taking them to WrestleMania. I pointed out they weren’t children they were, at that point, 17 and 21. I do remember what he intimated but I’m not prepared to repeat it. Several other posters called him out on it at the time.

I Manage a Pub. We have several big screens and are popular with the local horse racing crowd.
A few weeks ago I noticed a lightbulb out in the snug, so I reached to take the bulb so I could see what replacement fitting bulb was required. The split second my hand touched the bulb, the power went out in the snug. Lights, TV, Fruit Machine all down. I figured I’d tripped a fuse with the light fitting, turned to realise the whole pub was down. It was a fairly busy Friday lunch time so the regulars found it fairly funny that I’d managed to cause the outage. 

Headed to the fuse cupboard, but in the meantime my Bar Staff pointed out that the whole street was down. Estate Agents across the road was in darkness, Cooplands were closing their doors and an alarm could be heard in the distance. 
 

The power came back on within ten minutes or so, and it turns out that most of the town and several surrounding villages had been down also.

I don’t think it was my doing that half of North Lincolnshire was plunged into darkness, but I still feel like I was in the middle of Mr Bean sketch!

I’m not normally one to moan as the WWE network is a first world problem I can cope with compared to my everyday life. 
 

BUT, not only does ‘resume’ take you back to the start but you can’t fast forward either?! I’m on my third watch of Logan Paul vs Ricochet.

Around the time she died, she was appealing to the press to leave her and Dodi alone. To the point my parents regular newspaper, The Daily Mirror, were displaying a picture of them at the top of the front page, with a red circle around it with a slash through and claiming to be a Diana Free Zone. 
My Auntie and Uncle were driving home from the airport when the news broke, and claimed that initial reports of the accident said she was seen walking around alive and well. 
My theory is that the accident was staged to ‘write her out’ of public life and she’s living it up somewhere on a desert island. 
 

I spout this theory regularly, so that when she finally shows up I can smugly say I told you so. And whenever I do I’m reminded as to how ‘there’s a guy works down the chip shop swears he’s Elvis’ I sound and I feel a bit silly.

It beggars belief that people think he’s actually gonna step away. At best his appearance at booking meetings will be reduced to a Zoom presence. At worst El McMahonico debuts Monday night on Raw.

Click on the ‘two A’s’ to the left off the address bar. Gives you the option to move it to the top. 

This thread is amazing. I started watching in 1990, and I’m longing for the days of a random Shane Douglas vs Haku match popping up on Prime Time, making a two hour round bus trip to Doncaster just to buy the Apter mags and find out what was ‘really’ happening and wishing I’d taken the Dino Bravo vs Texas Tornado match on a Coliseum Home Video more seriously!

I’ve handed my notice in on my current job. It’s a combination of things but the crux of it is I’m miserable and life’s too short etc. So I’m about to give up everything I’ve ever known (I’ve been a publican for 24 years, always live in) to move in with my daughter (temporarily) without a job. Fuck knows what I’m gonna do. 
 

I know I’m one of the older posters on here but anyone else got experience of starting from scratch later on in life?

Where is this info from? I’m at Manchester and as far as I know is going ahead on the 25th June? Or is it non-UK dates that have been postponed again?

Definitely this! I started it a few years ago. Felt like a waste of my time, I abandoned it half way through. It was one thing telling me what I need to do, I needed to know how to do it (I still don’t). Good luck @Chili hope it works for you!

First event I ever went to was the early 1991 tour at Sheffield. As mentioned Taker faced Piper. The wrestlers came out of the regular entrance to the dressing rooms as opposed to any entrance way, we were seated right by the curtain.  During the post match beat down of Piper, Animal of LOD stuck his head through the curtain to have a look. Cue rabid ‘LOD’ chants from the crowd. Animal just shook his head and said words to the effect of ‘he’ll be fine’ As Taker bundled him into a body bag. 
 

Also, after The British Bulldog (accompanied by Andre the Giant) beat Earthquake, he chased him down the aisle and into the back. Where he immediately stopped and leant against the wall clearly fucked. 
 

I never believed in kayfabe but, had I have done, that would have been the day it died!

Also, forgot all about that Rockers / LOD match, the tension between the Rockers was so well done over a period of time. 

Talk in the ‘Minor Annoyances’ thread referring to two weeks worth of Raw tapings being done at the same time reminded me of something. 
 

When Razor won the IC title after Shawn was stripped of it (leading to the Ladder Match at WMX) there was a Battle Royal on Raw in which the last two remaining competitors would meet the following week for the vacant title. Those being Razor and Rick Martel. I remember reading (or probably actually hearing on WrestleCall) that the second taping was done first. Thus the live audience saw Razor win the title prior to seeing the Battle Royal. Whilst it’s possible they carried on the Battle Royal off air, I distinctly remember a number of referees separating the two, which would have been equally confusing. 
 

Can anyone confirm this, or is my mind playing tricks?
