Later known as GForce as well

Is this right? I remember Battle of the Planets and I remember GForce I just don’t remember one becoming the other!

Edit : Just looked on Wiki and G-Force were the name of the team in it. It was re-titled G-Force : Guardians of Space in 1986, but I don’t recall that. Must be where I was getting mixed up.

  2. Like I say, having seen ROH fans who genuinely  feel they’re a part of the show (one guy snuck down to front (as if he needed to hide) replica belt and all to tell a guy who I assume had recently turned heel to ‘get out of his ring’. He even told his mate that ‘he had to do something about this) I imagine the guys behaviour was OTT. Still doesn’t justify security escorting the guy to the back.

  3. Yeah that was my thoughts? Having attended an ROH show spontaneously in New York a couple of years ago, I can say that they do have some OTT fans that do think they’re a part of the show. But taking fans into the back to give them a bollocking shouldn’t be a thing.

Had a white hot chocolate at a chocolate makers over in York today, and it might well be the nicest hot drink I've ever tasted.

Not the York Cocoa Works on Castlegate perchance?

Completely echoing my thoughts at the moment Rick. I'm Network-only and totally torn.

This is where I’m at too. I hardly watch these days as it is (I did watch WrestleMania this year) I’m considering cancelling the network but then would I a) achieve anything and b) be cutting my nose off to spite my face. I’m pleased I’m not the only one (of a similar age group) thinking like this.

  6. You’re a great poster Rick, but that is ridiculously arrogant. You did give a shit about us (Scunthorpe) when we were both in the bottom division for years! You’re generally considered our biggest rival by younger fans as we’ve hardly played Grimsby in the last 20 years. Though as @dopper says that will change next season.

  7. So what was the crack back in the Superstars / Challenge days with certain wrestlers not having entrance music? I’m thinking Warlord specifically but there were a few. Did Power and Glory not have music? Did the Doctor of Style not want Jive Soul Bro’ being overshadowed?

  8. Had the ‘continue watching’ problem on my smart tv too. That combined with the clumsy FF / Rewind doesn’t half make watching shows while I’m supposed to be at work difficult.

Guess if I didn’t have to sporadically do a bit of work it wouldn’t be an issue like.

If the lucha is that good it doesn't matter surely.

Like Manny Pacquiao beating Antonio Margarito at Light Middleweight when he was half the size.

If your good enough or over enough in wrestling terms you go up.

Not sure you understand how weight works?!

  10. Depends on what you think his expectations are to be fair. Personally I think he thought ‘well that was good while it lasted, I can get fat and have tits like Malteser’s now’ and be content with that

  11. You wouldn’t have to go through security again, and any delays would be taken into account by the airline. It happened to me in 2012 coming back from Miami. We were delayed, and when I questioned what would happen regarding our connecting flight I was assured it would be up to the airline to sort it. We literally got off one plane in and crossed the concourse and boarded another.

  12. Don’t forget flying out you’ll need to go through border patrol so that’ll kill at least an hour of your time. Between that and boarding you’ll probably have a couple of hours to grab some food and a couple of beers.

Also, don’t let the tight connection put you off returning. Atlanta is a big airport but there’s a rail shuttle connecting each terminal so easy to get from one flight to the next.

  13. Echo the good to hear sentiments! My daughter was diagnosed with melanoma while in her final year at uni (at the age of 21). It was only a few months from diagnosis to her being given the all clear but was the worst few months of my life (Her being at uni and me having moved further away in the other direction didn’t help). She doesn’t tell me when she’s due her check ups anymore, she just tells me after that everything is ok. I’m getting palpitations just typing this, so god knows what it feels like to experience it yourself.

  14. Fucking love cheese. Like to make up a nice board with a strong blue, a soft brie and a chilli cheese. Add olives, stuffed peppers, balsamic onions, a strong pate and some crusty bread. Accompanied by a nice bottle of Shiraz. Perfect single blokes night in.

(I can’t get on with cheese infused with fruit either, but I’m a bit funny on keeping sweet and sour separate)

  15. Perfectly natural for you to worry.

I worried when my youngest started secondary, that she’d be a little fish in a big pond. I had the same worry when she started college and when she started learning to drive.

The worry turned to pride when she smashed all of those, went on to graduate from uni, beat skin cancer, got a full time job and is now training to be a veterinary nurse.

Sorry, that became a little self indulgent. My point being, the worry is natural, she’ll never fail to make you proud.

I was under the impression the original owner would've been Samuel Smith, no? Brother of John Smith? That's what I was given to understand, at least.

In all honesty, I didn't really know about Humphrey Smith until a couple of years ago, and it was a genuinely disappointing thing to find out how much of a shit he is, as Sam Smith's pubs are usually my favourites.

Samuel Smith was John Smiths nephew. My dawn of time was a ‘slight’ exaggeration. Humphrey has  been at the helm for the whole of my publican career (I’ve never worked for them btw, just had numerous experiences, mainly with ex staff going to work for them) He’s considered a first class arsehole in the trade, and as I said, he’s slowly getting found out

I'm not normally a lager drinker, but I really like Samuel Smith's Double Four, which is gorgeous. Malty, cereal flavour.

Only problem is I'm having to boycott Sam Smith's at the mo, as the current owner is a workers' rights-breaching cunt.

Current owner? Humphrey Smith has owned Sam Smiths since the dawn of time, and is a piece of shit. Everyone in the licenced trade knows this, he uses employment law to his advantage (has he ever employed a manager for over two years?) He’s slowly getting found out, anyone that endorses Sam Smiths and  has any idea as to how he works needs to have a good look at themselves.

For anyone in Sam Smiths  employment, get out now and push him all the way to court because he will back down!
