Ronda Rousey was great for her whole run, but her debut match was easily the bestÂ
-
Theyâve already got bigger things to save like Blood And Guts and the Revival debutÂ

Had a look at Dexter Lumis, is he still doing that stupid serial killer gimmick he had in TNA?

Jericho is working overtime on commentary and makes up for having no fans in attendance. He is putting everyone over great too even when heeling it up. Last night was great and everything hit its mark, video packages were awesome and matches were fun. Cody opened up good and put everyone over in the tournament, Matt Hardy was the best he has been in ages, Darby and Sammy will always be good, Orange `Cassidy was great and would have had a crowd eating out the palm of his hand and Omega had a nice little match. Dark Order is in a holding pattern which I donât find that bad, wouldnât say itâs good but itâll do. Main Event was weak on paper, but that match was okay. Could have done with Archer running out to maul Dustin for a bit more of a dramatic ending, maybe including a some kind of short Jake promo. Imagine he will destroy Dustin to add heat to the finals with Cody
They canât do much in the way of story telling but they are putting out fun easy to watch TV every week. -

You want them to develop something but you're also saying it clearly won't work?
Yes, I would like them to develop into something that would work. This isnât the only thing they could have done with them and I donât think it suits them. Maybe Iâll be wrong and theyâll grow into it, but right now seems like a really bad fit. The gimmick wasnât even designed with them in mind, it was going to be Revival.Â

I've read comments of "make then no non sense badasses", they kinda did and went nowhere, this new part of them might not be bad if they still kick ass and are serious where needed.
They could get over with being no nonsense badasses, but they still need good stories that arenât just trading wins with people. Have they had any proper storylines that Iâm not aware of?Â

Unfortunately its very easy to have fans turn on someone.
"Do more with them, not like that, do less, do more...ok that's too much they're ruined forever now"Â
Not saying that's always the case but fickle fans never know what they want and all companies play catch up with fans perceptions.
What they did with them clearly isnât going to work, especially since they already have New Day as the fun team and they will never be as successful as them at that gimmick.
They are a powerhouse team, no need to have them fucking about acting like twats. If they want to go that direction they could at least develop it, this came out of nowhereÂ

Fleshing out the Viking Raiders characters is all fine and dandy, but why did they make them super unlikable nerds? That is the opposite of how to present them.

Really enjoyed the 200th episode of Being The Elite. The match was loads of fun and the clips at the end were a really nice touchÂ

I can actually understand what he means by saying dumping anyone who's been there for over 7 years and aren't doing much. There was a time pre 15 years ago that when they started to get stale they were pretty much gone and some returned. For example Piper came in I think in around '84, he left in '87 and returned in '89 till 1992. Davey boy was about from 85-88 and then returned in 1990-1992 and back in 1994-1997 and so on. Tatanka was only about for 4 years and fans still have fond memories of his run. WWF was like a revolving door which made things fresh all the time. These days they just hoard whoever they sign for years and years no matter how shit they are.
Iâve thought wrestling in general would hugely benefit from letting contracted wrestlers travel the indies or be loaned out to keep fresh and reinvent themselves. McIntyre is the perfect example of that working.Â
I reckon Big Showâs career would have been extremely different had he been shipped of to Japan for a couple years. Same with guys like Sheamus, Cesaro and Fandango.Â

Seven years would make sense for anyone who couldnât at least convincingly challenge for the intercontinental title or above  Â

After the first Saudi show, when Brock disappeared until SummerSlam. And a bunch of other times with Brock. Multiple times with Cena since about 2013 or so. Austin after WrestleMania X8. Bret Hart after WrestleMania 12. Hogan after WrestleMania 9 (although that was early Raw, so there wasnât as much expectation of being there every week).
Leaving after a big loss is one thing, disappearing the day before Wrestlemania is totally different. Canât say itâs something Iâm bothered about, I just like it when your wrongÂ

Cesaro and Daniel Bryan are not trained professionals at not getting Covid, so doesnât really apply đ
How the fuck do you know that? They might be

Imagine them cutting from a âdonât try this at homeâ bit to Cesaro and Daniel Bryan battering each other in the performance centre.Â
All they would have to do is quickly mention all the extra precautions they are taking to ensure performers are safe. Which they should be doing anyway -

It's not about Trump noticing, it's about Vince having the exact same mindset
You werenât supposed to take that seriously.
However on a serious note it doesnât matter what Vince actually thinks if there is money to be made. Steph has said that philanthropy is the future of marketing so Iâm surprised they havenât already made Roman the empowering voice for those at risk  -

Plus since his mate Donald is busy trying to shit people into a storm so that they protest the lockdown, Vince isn't going to do anything to encourage people to remain calm and happy in isolation.
I doubt Trump would notice a five minute promo unless Fox News report on itÂ

Both shows will share a portion of their viewers, but most people are creatures of habit. A bunch of people will watch one live and then the other recorded, maybe the following day. For someone to change their schedule of watching one live and the other later, something really good will have to happen. Blood And Guts probably would have gotten a few people to watch Dynamite instead of NXT, before those people then watch NXT as well anyway.
It was slightly interesting at first hearing the viewing figures, but the longer it has gone on the less it has been interesting. It isnât like the Monday Night Wars where people had to choose, now itâs really easy to watch one while recording the other. It isnât so much a war as an extremely minor inconvenience for a couple peopleÂ

Where's all these fickle AEW fans gone? Another loss to NXT (although some stuff did happen on that show). Hope this is just until they are back in arenas!
Iâm here and I donât care about ratings. Makes no difference to meÂ

The argument against that is that people are being bombarded with those messages everywhere else & WWE is the soothing salve of the nation, where you can tune in and forget those troubles for a while. They put smiles on faces damnit!
Plus, deep down Vince probably thinks the same as Trump and doesn't give a fuck about vulnerable/poor people dying. He just wants to flog tickets and shitty t-shirts at arena merch stands again.
Yeah I know people are getting it from all sides, but a lot of it is mostly just fear. Just five minutes with a positive upbeat âyou can do it guysâ from Roman would be great. No one is forgetting about it during those empty arena shows, but the shows could be used to lift peopleâs spirits and Roman is the perfect guy for that.Â
Unfortunately you are probably right about Vince just not giving a fuck -
Reigns should still be part of TV for sure. While Iâm not suggesting they should be attempting to capitalise on his leukemia, it is what humanised him and made fans realise he was actually a sound guy. There are a lot of people in the world who are at risk and must be terrified, get a superhero doing motivational promos from home for them. It could do some good for a lot of people while keeping him relevant and showing him as a top bloke.Â
ÂInstead of saying prayers and taking vitamins, have him encouraging the kids to wash their hands and social distance. Donât splatter itâs all over the shows, but giving Roman five minutes of motivational talk would be great. Would actually help the claim of being an essential business too.

Shame they didn't hold on a bit with the releases, they could've had Vince in a control room pulling a lever for trap doors around the HQ. When the would-be released names went into a room together Vince could've hit a big red button to blast the room off into outer space.Â
Spud would still show up for that, heâd make it work as well

In a more risk free time, imagine the fun they could have with finding people in old gimmicks in random rooms and cupboardsÂ
They could still do this with gimmick props, someone picking up an old clock and hearing the Boogeyman laugh or a box of socks with faces on etcÂ

What are the odds they fight into McMahonâs office and he does the âsuch good shitâ line himself?Â

Jericho covered it pretty good I think. He said it was a tune up for Omega, like a comedian doing a five minute set to keep up to speed. They talked about it like the guy had no chance and that Omega wasnât in danger, but then got surprised while the kid showed unexpected skills. Jericho was saying stuff like âthis kid can use the fact he landed a move on Omega as part of his highlight reelâ and saying how even working with Omega would look good on his resume.Â
That could either be the way Omega set the match out, or just Jericho being really fucking good at salvaging anything in front of him. I enjoyed it a lot, but I donât think I would have without someone as good on commentaryÂ
