Just look at the difference between how AEW are using these guys and how WWE are used them 

Revival are most likely going to be arriving soon, probably taking Young Bucks out of the Stadium Stampede match. Hoping they bring Rusev in unless he just wants to fuck about with Twitch for a bit.

Bringing in guys who worked for WWE is fine if they have something to offer. The problem  when TNA did it was they would literally bring guys in to milk their WWE value and put them over their own talent. AEW haven’t done that at all

If people are going to so loosely define WWE guy as anyone who has worked for them, Matt Jackson is also a WWE guy because he did some squash matches years ago. Archer, Cobana and Trent had such nothing runs a long time ago that counting them as WWE guys is mental. 
Jim Ross is the only guy in AEW who is surviving off his WWE run without providing anything new. 

Find it hard to believe WWE aren’t doing it for safety reasons, far more likely Vince is just being stubborn. I’m glad they aren’t though, it would just be a load of NXT trainees all being instructed to pull the most exaggerated hammy expressions, trying to replicate this at the sight of a successful roll up

Well they already changed the layout of their arena and switched the hard cam to face the entrance way which AEW did first. That was quite a subtle change but if they started putting wrestlers in the crowd then that would look like they are copying them.

Double Or Nothing is shaping up to be a great show with really limited time. Looking forward to MJF abusing Marko Stunt next week as well

The MITB match was awful to be fair. It was like watching the Big Bang Theory without the laugh track. AEW put way more effort in with their street fight last week which was far more entertaining.

Saying that, there isn’t a reason to fear for the future of WWE. At least not creatively. They’ve still got the best wrestlers in the world and most of the greatest minds in the business. It’s just run by a senile old nutter and micromanaged to the point where a lot of their roster have to work overtime to salvage the shit sandwich they are constantly presented. 
WWE is still capable of putting on a great show, things just have to change in management before that can happen 

The jobber that pushed Omega the other week does the same with Rey Fenix on Dark. Guess that could be going somewhere rather than Omega failing to understand what a squash match is.

The wrestlers and jobbers surrounding the ring have been loads of fun, to say its just Billy Gunn and his kid is a bit of a disservice. They’ve been playing the cards they are dealt as well as possible really.

They’ve even managed to used it to get me invested in Pineapple Pete. They did a really good bit on him in this video at the 8:45 mark

Found a guy who makes nerd art using WWE titles. Most of them go over my head but thought some people here might get a kick out of them 

They could have easily done a spot like that without having Styles and Bryan look like losers. I don’t think anyone would have complained if Black had thrown Corbin into the room and then he had acted the same way. 

It’s going to be weird watching a wrestler climb the ladder so slow you’d assume they don’t want to get to the top

Was that supposed to be them being thrown off the roof? Could hear them land a few second after and the higher up shots showed their positioning would have been just out of the ring area. Find it hard to believe anyone would care more about breaking a mirror than killing someone 

They did change Roman, but in all the wrong ways. His look didn’t need changing and I don’t think his music was make or break really. The problem was he had changed from limited promos, mainly being the cool but quiet badass and letting the other two carry the work. They started giving him longer promos that tried to be funny but just came off as lame. They are doing the same with McIntyre now, having the Scottish Pychopath grinning like a fool and saying happy Mother’s Day. Strowman waving like a goon is an even sadder go home segment than Reigns and Lesnar doing a tug of war over the belt. 
They build people up and their idea of pulling the trigger is turning them into a dork. I understand why they would want a top guy who is able to do long promos, but if someone can’t do the smiley Cena promo, don’t force it. Let someone like Big E be that guy if they need one.

Not everyone can be the same type of performer. If they had given Austin a character like The Rock’s he would have been booed out the arena too

We saw a few minutes later there was space for two people to be at the top and grab a case. Would have made more sense for him to shout “me first” though 

Two confusing finishes in one match. Why was Corbin trying to win the women’s briefcase? I thought I had missed something and there would only be one winner.

Camera work on the roof was absolutely shocking as well. Match had a few funny spots, but overall I’d give it a two out of seven

It’ll either be Ali or someone supremely shit to throw a curve ball like Dana Brooke

When I saw they were all staying in the same hotel I assumed there would be a reason for it. Stuff like the layout of the hotel making it easy to contain or a dedicated special cleaning team or something. I guess now we will see how adequate their precautions are, if it has been caught and not passed on then it will have to be chalked up as a win. If several others have it then it’s a sign that this needs to stop
