I watched the first episode of Mr & Mrs Smith and found it insanely boring. I couldn't work out what they were going for at all with it. Does it pick up in later episodes or does it maintain the same pace/tone?

I'm on episode 3, I think it does pick up and become more interesting but I do find myself looking at my phone at times but they may just be my shit attention span. I also feel like Donald Glover is just looking for any old excuse to get his shirt off, constantly.

I don't know what is happening at our Premier.

A ton of Tayto crisps, loads of Bolands biscuits and a whole range of Chef condiments. Obviously I bought the ketchup.

Did Premier carry out a food truck heist in Cork or something?

On first glance I thought that said 'Rishi foods'. I thought your local corner shop had started stocking Fortnum and Masons and a range of caviar.

  3. I'm very very late on this one but I watched The Marvels yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. It didn't take itself too seriously, didn't try to over complicate things, it was just good, lighthearted fun. It is by far the best Marvel offering in a few years in my opinion. Didn't love Zawie Ashton as a few others have said but she doesn't feature overly heavily in it. I echo the love for Kamala and her family and hope that the film not performing well doesn't mean it's the last we see of her.

I accidentally forgot to put myself on mute yesterday and was playing guitar during a meeting 🤦

I've also forgotten to put myself on mute twice recently, one meeting was being recorded. Luckily not the one where I declared to my husband that the meeting was boring so I was going to go put the washing out.

  5. I've been wanting to see Mr Bungle for 20 odd years, my sister went to America to see them when this tour was going to be a one off but I couldn't go because I worked in a school and it was term time (even met Glenn Howerton there).  It's difficult for me to get childcare so I've had to give this set of gigs a miss. I'm not overly upset as The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny is not my favourite, I really wish they would tour some of their other stuff. I would give my left arm to see a tour of  Disco Volante and California material, I really hope they tour something other than Raging Wrath.

I'm not versed whatsoever on the world of Patton but the mate is and he said they're likely to just play Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny. Fine by me, though. He had it on the background and I liked what I heard. Trash always goes down well live with me.

I'm a biased Patton superfan but you are in for a treat my friend.

The weirdest thing about Bret in regards to the Vince stuff is that I saw some plank on Twitter suggest that Bret will have got in on the action with Vince. The Excellence Of Sexecution by his own admission had a willing young lass waiting for him from Spokane to Savannah and everywhere inbetween. He didn't need Vince engineering any rape by coercion on his behalf much less have Jr doing play by play for it, it was full and proper consent to his six moves of doom every time.

I know this is in jest but I think it's worth noting that rape rarely has anything to do with sex. Its actually about power and control and humiliation, which to be honest fits what we know of Vince's persona fairly accurately. He obviously gets off on being in charge having people think he is beyond reproach. He is a megalomaniac beyond control, this is seemingly all part of his ego trip and all the humiliation that is dished out to these women just backs up that this is all a power trip for him.

  7. As one of the few women here, the thread has never made me feel uncomfortable, definitely in recent years anyway. I've never seen anyone overly objectifying women or anything like that, just posting people they find attractive. I don't post men in it but I wouldn't feel like I couldn't if that makes sense.

  8. I genuinely found it very difficult to choose in this thread. I loved Bacon's Christmas thread, it got me in to the Christmas spirit and was a joy to read, I really appreciate the time put in to it.

Chippy Tea and Fry Up are classic UKFF threads, being a vegetarian neither is particularly catered for me (ba-dum-tish) but I always enjoy reading them anyway.

Both the CM Punk chat and the Snooker threads are ones I regularly frequent but I ended up going with Jesus Fucking Christ because like any self respecting middle aged Brit, I thoroughly enjoy complaining and anything that can be construed as complaining.

  9. My husband, and my siblings all know I post on a wrestling forum (siblings were also wrestling fans when I was so they think it's not that weird). I'm sure they probably wonder why I still use it all these years later, I haven't watched wrestling since CM Punk originally left WWE

  10. It's funny you say that, I bought a few jigsaw puzzles to do just before Christmas, I felt it was a better use of my (rare) spare time than watching TV.... I haven't actually started them yet though

  11. Artemis has just shown up in a TV series I'm watching as the Vice President of the USA. I can not take her seriously, I laugh every time she is on the screen and it is not a comedy.

That's the thing, I just don't know how true this is.

I hope I'm right. It'd be tragic if there was thousands of men shitting on women, trafficking them, and fantasising about their abuse.

I just presumed the rich and powerful were regular wrong-uns, not monsters.

As a women, I would say @Nick Jamesis 100% correct. I've never really been victim to much other than the unfortunately regular sexual harassment that all women suffer (wolf whistling, being grabbed in clubs etc) and none of what I read in Vince's texts particularly shocked me. Via other women, I've seen much worse.

  13. Some scientist in America did a study and said the same thing about tea. Apparently the perfect cuppa includes a pinch of salt to block out the bitterness, but much like @Loki I like a little bitterness in my tea, it matches my personality.

  14. Yeah, I've stared drinking water, I thought that might help flush it out. My 1 year old is going to be the crack of dawn and I'll probably just have fallen asleep so I empathise @SuperBacon. Why are we such idiots?!

  15. We went out at lunchtime today and I decided to have a coffee, now I'm all wired and feel like I've been on some crap drugs and I probably won't be able to sleep tonight. Worst thing is, it tastes shit so wasn't even worth it.

Anyone know how to get caffeine out of your system quickly?

  16. DeVito is immense in Sunny, do Americans have national treasures or is that a British thing? Because he is one. He is so so good as Frank, I sometimes forget that Danny is not like that in real life!
