It was indeed. The spinach was added maybe 2 minutes before the end. Is there something else I should be doing with it?
Thanks for the tips, will try them all next time.Â
You can blanche it before adding it, then it should already have released its water and it won't release it in your dish.

Mashing a bit of the potato down is also a cheats way to thicken it up, but traditionally you would just cook it out for longer for it to thicken. Low heat, lid on if it has a lid.

I have the Aldi knock off of Le Creuset. I find it makes lovely casseroles and pies, I'm not sure of the science but as Lion said I think it's to do with the heat and the rate at which it cooks, they generally taste much better than pies/casseroles cooked in anything else unless I've done the filling in the slow cooker. So do you need one? Not really but I think they are good to have, I think you getter a better tasting product and as I don't have pans that can go in the oven, I like that I can use it on the stove and then stick it in the oven.

Light a lasting fire. In my husband's absence, I decided I would put the log burner on as it's freezing and the baby is ill. It took me three attempts to get anything near a fire that would keep burning for longer than a few minutes. Lighting a lasting fire was a big part of human evolution for warmth and cooking etc, I think it's safe to say that I would not have survived very long. I never knew setting things on fire could be so difficult.

I'm with your wife @Chest Rockwell, in fact I have two of the little tubs with garam masala in them (the others are jeera, salt, haldi, red chilli flakes and black pepper). Mine all share a spoon too so I'm a little envious of your separate spoons.

Is there one missing @Chest Rockwell or is it just very spacious? They are usually quite a snug fit

I don't like Walkers in general but Paprika Max are still one of my all time favourite crisps.

I'm not really a tej pata user but the name always makes me laugh as translated to English it means very fast leaf. We only ever use it when making rice.

Same, though mine has only half of the spices listed there.
The spice drawer has every weird and wonderful spice in it. Some mis-labelled and only I know what is really in there.

I never bought Monica and Chandler, at all.Â
What did she see in him?Â
Chandler is adorable! Of the three he was the 'catch'. Joey was good looking but thick, Ross was far too whiney (and Monica's brother) but Chandler is genuinely a sweet guy

That’s why she has no connection like the others do and is so different from them.Â
That's the thing about Phoebe, I actually don't mind her as a character (Ursula is crap though) but whilst I like the dynamic of having her in the group - I just don't see how she would be friends with the rest of the gang. She has next to nothing in common with any of them. They never truly explain how she ends up in the group with any kind of satisfactory answer. Yes, she lived with Monica but that doesn't explain why they continued to be friends when they have nothing in common and polar opposite personalities. Everyone else in the gang, you understand how they could become friends.
Rachel's dad is great character, so wrong on that one Bacon.

Sorry for being a double post but very sad news about Matthew Perry. He was too young to die, I've seen mixed reports that say he had a heartattack then drowned and some say just drowned. Either way it seems very sad that someone so loved by millions died alone.

Adam Johnson of the Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team died overnight following an incident at the game v Sheffield Steelers. A Steelers player was going to make a check but slipped and and accidentally caught Johnson in the neck with his skate blade and his injuries were so severe he died in hospitalÂ
That is just horrific. What an awful thing to happen, and I can't imagine what kind of impact it must be having on the Steelers player.

I find most garden centres have decent cafes. The one in Chessington is absolutely fantastic, and we would go there regularly just to eat.
We live in a semi rural area which is littered with Garden Centres so they all try to out-do each other. A lot of them have soft plays and one has a 2 & 1/2 acre (free) outdoor gardens complete with play equipment and even a hobbit house. Most of them grow their own food too so have amazing cafes, the cakes are amazing..... We spend a lot of weekends at garden centres, something I never thought I would say.

Many of the UKFF will be crying in to their cornflakes, Doctors has been canceled after 23 years of being on TV.

I didn't think much of the first episode but enjoyed the second a lot more. I get the first was scene setting to some extent.
I found the university staff all a little annoying so will reserve judgement on Nicholas Lyndhurst just yet. David seemed like someone doing a Niles impression, but it was a good impression so I can run with it. I will be tuning in next week and hope it carries on getting better.
