Crank

Absolute insanity from beginning to end. A film which started off at 100 mph and never really slowed up. Jason Statham is a man who is poisoned and must do exciting things to stay alive. These exciting things mainly involve fighting, shooting people and driving extremely fast. The purest distillation of a million action films, I can't believe I never saw it when it came out. Jason Statham, I love you.

I attempted to watch Glengarry Glen Ross tonight but was really bored by the 45 minute markand switched it off. The Alec Baldwin scene at the start was really intriguing and I thought "This is gonna be good" but it really failed to grab my attention. I'm not shitting on the film or anything(maybe if I had the patience to stick it out till the end I would think differently) but I guess it just wasn't for me.

I the rewatched Gone Baby Gone. Not a perfect film by any means but I enjoyed it.

Definitely agree with you there mate and

although it's unlikely, a sequel would certainly be possible I'm just not sure whether it would work or Aronofsky would do one.

I loved it, I suggest waiting til you're in the mood again and then giving it another go.

Have you seen the trailer for the sequel? If not: http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/crank.../teaser-trailer

Oh and its NSFW dues to lots of swearing and sex, etc, etc....

Looks even more insane than the first.

Pirates 2: Stagnetti's Revenge

Apparently the most expensive porno ever made. And I say I watched it, I saw a trailer for it after looking through the most popular film downloads on Isohunt and wondering what the hell it was. Lots of attractive young ladies and plain-looking men up to all sorts of shenanigans. Imagine, if you will, a really cheap pirate film with a bunch of sex in it. I really didn't watch it.

Re: Religulous, I'll be having a watch of that later. The thing with Bill Maher, he seemed to take a pretty big leap to the right after 9/11 and I wasn't sure how far back he's come since.

Depending on how you look at the film and the way he presents himself you will start to think that he's simply trying to say "all religious people are idiots" as he does tend to bash religion in quite a forceful way.

However the meeting with the holocaust denying rabbi seemed to get at him and he ended the interview which was surprising.

Watched it last night, very enjoyable. I don't think he was saying all religious people are idiots, he interviewed a priest/science dude from the Vatican who didn't seem like an idiot. The only ones who were presented as idiots were the ones who...ya know....were - anyone who thinks dinosaurs and man lived happily side by side, for example.

My favourite was how people just wash over the fact that the Jesus story is not at all original and has occurred many times in different countries and ages but with different names.
