God I want to go out for a pint with that dog!

My nine year old just doesn’t need much sleep so she goes to bed between 9 and 10pm and then that’s when our evening finally begins. Without a doubt my favourite thing is just my wife talking at me. 

It’s the only time we’re alone together. I sit there and watch TV or play PS5 and she just gives me both barrels. Work drama, kid drama, neighbour drama, family drama, soap drama, social media drama, the list goes on. She spills ALL the tea. And I just drink it all in knowing that all I need to do is listen and nod and smile etc and it’s helping her decompress after her stressful days. When she’s let it all out and feels relaxed we watch something together and it’s bliss.

I've taken to going to sit in the coffee shop before I go to therapy, just a 30 minutes way for me to close off work Nexus and get ready for dealing with mental Nexus.
