Wrestling belts

Hi, 

Missed the boat on purchasing a wcw big gold title belt on wweshopzone, and now they only do the WHC with the WWE logo on. I know there's places like fandu, that do the really well priced, premium ones, but I'm looking for a more affordable option. 

Has anyone used wrestlingchampionships.co.uk? I ask because their reviews tend to overly offputtingly, similarly worded, and high praising.. 

And they use wwe pictures. Or like wise if someone can recommend a good affordable alternative.

I'm gonna highjack this thread as it's still open. Where's the best place to sell a belt? eBay? Or are there more 'specialist' places someone could recommend?

I was bought an adult replica spinner WWE Championship as a misguided gift. As it was a present, I don't know the exact specs of it and I would hate to mis-sell it.

Conrad Thompson just sold the Intercontinental Title used between 1985 and 1988, mostly known as Randy Savage's title for $716,750. The most ever that any wrestling title has been sold for, who the hell is paying that? I really want to know who bought it.

Could it be WWE themselves? They now seem to be keen to protect their heritage. They have that huge warehouse with stuff they trot out for WM weekend, and also did that Lost Treasures show or whatever it was called. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years they don't actually have a physical building with artefacts on display. If they combined it with an attraction like Universal, Disney or somewhere like Vegas, they could just lease a building and get a nice bit of footfall. Would shift a ton of merchandise too. 

Outside of the WWE, I don't know. I'm not sure it has enough pop-culture relevance to appeal to those collectors who buy expensive items up and then trades with a select circle who also have exclusive items.

I know there is a very hardcore wrestling collectors market though.

That'd be interesting as they personally gave that title to Conrad in the first place as a swap for the original held by Pat Patterson.

There's no chance WWE are buying it back at auction. There are tonnes of millionaires in the US that are now spending crazy money on collectibles, and wrestling stuff is starting to catch up with real sports memorabilia. There have been a lot of items recently that have gone for mega money, that would have been about 20x less expensive a decade ago.

I'd read about that, seems crazy, but perhaps they now want that history back (doesn't Trips have a big collection of original belts?) or could it be something to do with next year being the 40th Anniversary of perhaps the most famous match involving that belt? I think the Pat Patterson title they traded it for was wanted because they used it for a match or something.  

Having another look though, I would think whoever paid $414,800 for Hogan's WM2 title or a staggering $1,037,000 for his WM1 boots (I take neither were the WWE) would probably now be the owner of this title....whoever that may be though!

Curiosity got the better of me. Turns out Logan Paul bid on the Hogan boots - got up to within $16,000 of winning them too. Wonder if he went for the belt?
