Merzbow Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 I played a little on a mates PC and it's a definite no from me, easily one of my worst experiences with a game in recent memory for one reason.. there's a circle that closes in like in fortnite and it's even more obnoxious with how little time you have to do anything in the game world, there's zero exploration. RedTwoster Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 (edited) Yeah, it’s also a no from me, and it makes me worried about The Duskbloods, which is also multiplayer. To be honest, I was expecting to get some enjoyment out of Nightreign, even with the middling reviews, but I don’t like it at all. I’m hoping they’ll fix it up based on feedback, and we’ll end up with a No Man’s Sky or Fallout 76-type situation. Edited June 8, 2025 by RedTwoster Quote
Mr_Danger Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 Does it match you up with rando’s like usual From games or do you have to have two other friends to play? I’m guessing it ends up on PS Plus if it isn’t already so I’ll jump on then but if I have to know two other people to play at the same time it’s dead on arrival for me. Quote

This Eurogamer article explains it, and I’m sharing that rather than explaining it myself as it’s a messy system (or at least, I found it to be) and this really illustrates that. You can play it solo too, but it’s very, very difficult - and not in a fun way. They patched it to reduce the difficulty, but it’s still much harder flying solo than it is in multiplayer. But the fact they acknowledged their mistakes and patched it so quickly has me optimistic that they’ll at least try to make this a better game. Quote
Merzbow Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 The Elden Ring cast rumours are starting with Cailee Spaeny supposedly brought in by Garland after working with her on Civil War, Melina seems the best shout for her. Quote
RedTwoster Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 I’ve generally enjoyed Alex Garland’s films, especially Ex Machina, but I’m really curious as to how he’ll do this. Elden Ring is about as blank a slate as you could hope for in a video game, but based on some of his previous films - Annihilation in particular- you can kind of get an idea as to what he might end up doing here. There’s real reason for optimism, I think. Quote
