Fog Dude
The final scores went into the first post yesterday morning, and I did all the updates, including uploading the table, later that same day. It's just dawned on me that I should've written this at the time too, since we've got an international round coming up that includes games on Friday. Bugger. Oh well. Can't do much about that now. At least I'm once again typing a round-up from the comfort of my own place. Anyway, let's get on with it. In a high-scoring round, Ratty's lead was cut back to 9 points as snowman dave moved into second spot with his D2D yet to come. Mungo Chutney rocketed up 12 places as the best performer this time out, but second worst scorer MoKonjic sank down the standings with only 5 points. Seph's already pointed out that he did even worse, but it's healthy for the competition as it cuts the gap at the foot of the classification to just 3 points. Vegeta has also moved into lower mid-table after some poor form and now getting his D2D wrong as Sunderland saw off Stoke at the Stadium of Light. That 5 of the other 21 participants didn't disagree with him suggests that the fixture was probably pitched about right. Some of those who did claim bonuses incorrectly back a draw, mind. Even further north, a last-minute winner for Queen's Park at the reformed Gretna caught a lot of players out, but the same scoreline in Rosewell was easier to foresee. Over in Spain, an easy win for Barcelona in Vallecas proved fruitful, but Atlético's reverse at Valencia (in which all the goals were scored quite early on) stumped most people. Closer to home, only a handful of you actually backed Man U to win at home (!), but comfortable victories for City and Chelsea yielded at least one point for many. Hull's triumph over Palace was more of a mixed bag, whilst it was hard to guess that Swansea would be held at home by Newcastle. That'll do then. Better post the next thread straight away.
