Dalby is the latest Cage Warriors champion to move into the UFC, he's from Denmark...

that's him winning the Cage Warriors belt...surprised he didn't KO himself with that celebration

Tom Breese is English but he's fighting out of Tristar.

Some good stuff to look out for the undercard of this one.

Dalby has a ton of potential and star quality and is fun to watch. He was definitely being lined up as cage warriors big star. Excited to see him fight again and think if he transitions to the Ufc well there's some great fights to be had with him.

A bit late, but still.

My results from the Faber/Edgar card saw me go 3-2 in picks, although I felt that the decision win for Nover over Nam was a fucking disgrace. Anyway, that sees me move to a 14-4 win/loss record.

I lost heavily in the betting stakes, taking my current balance to -£4.50.

this shit goes down tonight...given that in Alves last couple of performance he's taken a battering before getting the win, i don't see this ending well for him. If Condit is fully over his injuries i see him putting a bit of a beating on Alves in an exciting yet one sided fight.

Alves only took a pasting from Jordan Mein really before coming back. He looked great in the Seth Baczynski fight in his previous fight, especially considering he'd been on the shelf for nearly two years coming into that fight.

I've got Condit winning as well. He's not quite as powerful but he's got more tools, better cardio and the reach advantage. I think Alves will have his moments though. First two rounds will be awesome but I can see Condit outlasting him on conditioning and pace and stopping him around the fourth or so. Kind of like how he beat Kampmann in the second fight.

It was an exciting fight and Seth landed some good shots, but Alves mostly bossed it. And he took a unanimous decision with three 30-27's across the board so Seth can't have troubled him too much. I remember the talk after that fight (and during it from the commentators) was all about how Alves looked like he hadn't missed a beat despite the layoff.

The Mein fight was a different story though. Alves was getting his arse handed to him before he landed that body kick.

Just watched the weigh in. Didn't realise there'd been a few changes to the card. Here's the final lineup;

KJ Noons vs Alex Oliveira

Ryan Jimmo vs Francimar Barroso

Francisco Trinaldo vs Norman Parke

Wendell Oliveira vs Darren Till

FOX SPORTS 1 PRELIMS

FIGHT PASS PRELIMS

Shame Noons vs Cabral got cancelled. I liked the styles clash there.

This Darren Till sounds interesting. From Liverpool, lives and trains in Brazil, 12-0 with 10 stoppages and still just 22 years old. At a time where we're bombarded with UFC newcomers on seemingly every show, it's become kind of a rare thing that one stands out as looking like a genuine prospect. Till sounds like one. Tough debut though against Wendell Oliveira, who looks like a darker Hector Lombard.

It's a decent card. Rony Jason usually delivers a fun fight, Formiga vs Reis should be like two little Tasmanian devils colliding, Oliveira vs Lentz 2 should be awesome if their first fight is any indication, and there's unfinished business there due to the illegal knee last time and then their scheduled rematch getting cancelled in September on the day of the fight. Intense staredown at the weigh in between them as well. And then to top it all off, Condit vs Alves should be phenomenal. Two of the sport's most aggressive and entertaining fighters and they both have something to prove and need a spectacular performance if they want to get back in the title hunt.

It's a show that's kind of just crept up on us quietly, but it looks like a good'un.

Right, here goes for the next instalment of Degenerate Dave's descent into debt and destitution.

I'm having problems accessing my Paddypower account for some reason, meaning that my single fight bets aren't looking likely to happen this card, so i'll just post my five picks instead.

For this event i'm heading in with a 14-4 record.

My five picks are as follows;

Mirsad Bektic to win over Lucas Martins

Rony Jason to win over Damon Jackson

Nicolas Dalby to win over Elizeu Zaleski

Alex Oliveira to win over KJ Noons

Carlos Condit to win over Thiago alves

As an extra feature to this I'm going to put forward a few interesting bets that won't be included in the main game, but are simply there as possible tips for anyone looking for a way to lose their money. I'll chart these as well simply out of curiosity.

For this event i'm going to be throwing down £5 on Alex Oliveira to beat KJ Noons on points. This sees a return of £16.50. I'll also be throwing down £5 on Carlos Condit to beat Thiago Alves by KO, which will see a return of £16.50.

Luckily I made those two bets earlier today.

Not too shabby a showing, coming away with a cash profit from the bets I made of £6.50, and five from five as far as picks go, taking me to 19-4.

Fucking Paddypower, shutting me down for some reason stopped me making a profit on my single picks this event. It's up & running again today though, so onwards to next week.

* Carlos Condit is a fucking savage, i thought he looked kind of slack until he landed that step in elbow in round 2. After that he was in kill mode, i'm not quite sure how Alves survived the round but the damage had been done.

* Lentz/Oliveira was easily fight of the night and rightfully took home the bonus. Style-wise these two are just made for each other, great back and forth fight. I ain't so sure Oliveira can progress any higher than he is in that division but he has the kind of skillset that can trouble anyone if given the chance, lets see him in with a top 5 guy and see what he's got.

* Barrosso/Jimmo was fucking terrible. Given Jimmo's recent outbursts against the UFC with regards to the sponsorships and shit, i think we saw the last of him last night.

* Darren Till did indeed look like a bit of a prospect, strange to see a scouser speaking Brazilian but given the guys attitude, skillset and cockiness i could see him making some noise in there...keep an eye on him.
