Mr Butternut Squash
Ken Shamrock was the referee because ROH matches were real, so you needed a real fighter to call the action. Pure sport at its finest. To highlight this, you could see the basket ball nets and the score board on the wall. Ha, the classic, "THIS IS WRESTLING!! NO STOOPID SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT HERE!", commentary line is already starting to grate. Â Did you not see James Maritato when he was Nunzio in WWE? Â I did a couple of times although few memories of him have stuck. He was a Superstars scrub weren't he? I wasn't really watching back then. Paid Members Maverick Posted September 27, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted September 27, 2013 He wasn't really a scrub at all, he was all over Smackdown for a few years and had a few feuds and angles and won the Crusierweight title aswell as a run with a WWE version of the FBI. He did really well out of it considering his size etc. They had him back as a referee recently too.
Mr Butternut Squash
Shit, was he? Â The Attitude hangover era was during my lost years to be honest. I caught some of the big happenings but that's about it.
