Former WWE Superstar DAVE FINLAY returns to his orginal stomping ground and to where he states "the opposition is the most Professional and toughest" and he certainly will have to use all his ring knowledge when facing his most consistant opppment from the past as facing him from the opposite side of the ring will be none other than DANNY COLLINS - and matchmakers All Star are living up to the promise they made at the British Wrestlers Reunion last August to

Put on a Legends Show when tag opponents from the past see the LIVERPOOL LADS take on THE SUPERFLYS With Jimmy Ocean making a one off appearance.

This looks to be the best attempt at a proper legends show we've ever had in the UK. Previous attempts have have featured the odd wrestler or two that would be questionable as an actual legend but Finlay, Collins, The Superflys and The Liverpool Lads created some of the best matches on UK soil in the late 80's and early 90's in particular and I'm really looking forward to seeing these feuds renewed for an excellent cause with some of the best of the current crop appearing on the show too.

Saraya's gotta be in the corner of the Superflys for it to be totally authentic.Just thinking of some other legends who could feasibly be on the show - Johnny Kidd, Skull Murphy, Julie Starr, Klondyke Kate, Mal Sanders.....Could be a very good event.

Saraya will be in the corner of the Superflys as Jimmy Ocean makes his final appearance in the Ring.Johnny Kidd is unavailable on June 1st so is Steve GreyJohnny Saint is going to be there as we hope is the Living Legend the only and one Mick McManus but this has yet to be confirmed.

50 years ago - November 1962 the only and only Mick McManus topped the bill at the very first Wrestling Spectacular at Croydon's Fairfield Halls. The shows were so popular at one time they were held every Tuesday at 8pm. The fortnightly shows presented exclusively under the Dale Martin banner until Tuesday 12th February 1985 when Brian Dixon's All Star Promotions headlined with a World Title Triple header with Wayne Bridges, Mark Rocco and Johnny Saint all defending their respective titles. The show on June 1st, brings together the Four Legends all in the ring at the same time as part of All Stars event being held in aid of the British Wrestlers Reunion. Also on the opening 1985 show was a young Rob Brookside who will be seen in atg gteam action as part of the Liverpool Lads taking on their bitter rivals from the past The Superflys, Rowdy Ricky Knight and Gentleman Jimmy Ocean, who will be making his last in ring appearance. Other key figures introduced to the Fairfield fans will include Pete Roberts and Reunion president and founder Joe D'Orazio along with other celebrities including Darth Vader star Dave Prowse. The whole occasion, including all the ring action and interviews with members of the audience, is being filmed for a BBC 4 documentary and fans are invited to submit questions to admin@superslamwrestling.co.uk that will be put to legends guests on the big night. Off course lets not forget the main event which brings together Legends still in action when Dave Finlay meets Danny Collins. Full update at http://www.bigtimewrestlinguk.com/

This looks to be one of the UK shows of the year on paper. I was fortunate to live in Bristol at the height of Collins career and catch his feuds with the likes of Rocco and Finlay and if the Finlay/Collins match is even half as good as their previous meetings it will be a should worth the price of admission alone.Sorry to hear this is Jimmy Ocean's final in-ring appearance but will be good to witness it in person. He's seemingly often forgotten in discussions, perhaps because he hasn't been as active as others, but for my money was one of the best lightweights in the country of the past 25 years.
