freaky
Â As part of trying to promote and support women's wrestling, we've designed a few t-shirts which are specifically designed to not look like wrestling t-shirts (as you all know that leads to a world of questions that you
theaddicane
Something about this T-Shirt strikes me a bit odd. Â If I saw the average chubsy Joshi fan wearing that as he waddled down the street, he'd look a bit of a tit. I mean, the "NO LIMITS" bit is just a bit patronising and strikes a tad sycophantic. Â No woman will look at that and go "Get the fuck in, he looks great and I feel so empowered, I didn't know I could do anything I wanted." Â Just my two-cents, mind. I'm sure your site has the best intentions.
Mr. Seven
Ripping off another site's name AND clothing ideas certainly screams "best intentions" alright.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted June 11, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted June 11, 2011 How's this for plagarism?
theaddicane
Well that takes away the "best intentions" part, now it's just weird.
freaky
Ripping off another site's name AND clothing ideas certainly screams "best intentions" alright. I don't see how the idea of selling merchandise is exclusive to any particular site. Similarly, that site just sells merch while ours is a news site which has the shop as a sideline. Barring a similar name, I don't see where the argument is. Â Besides, that site's never complained to us, soI don't understand why you're so keen to kick up a fuss, unless you're just starting an argument for the sake of it, like you're wont to do. Mr. Seven
Who's starting an argument? It's an observation. I have several more regarding your website but I doubt you'd pay them any heed.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted June 12, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 12, 2011 That "Know your limits" one is a bit patronising to be fair. I don't think I'd be very empowered by some T-Shirt sellers if it sounded like they were doing the clothing version of tousling my hair.
Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted June 12, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 12, 2011 Isn't the Know Your Limits one a reference to the best ever Harry Enfield sketch? Â
Moderators PowerButchi Posted June 12, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 12, 2011 Indeed it is an awesome sketch. L is for Lice was good value as well.
Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted June 12, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted June 12, 2011 I think your message is lost in the overuse of red and chucking some grungy-looking fonts on them to be honest.
Paid Members gmoney Posted June 12, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted June 12, 2011 Indeed it is an awesome sketch. L is for Lice was good value as well. Â All the sketches he did set in the 1940s/50s were great. Â
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted June 12, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted June 12, 2011 The "Know Your Limits" one is a really bad idea. Its as far from empowering women as you can get. For me the first step in empowering women in wrestling would be for them not to wear little shorts and get their tits out for photo shoots because it pays well. freaky
Who are the WWE talent that have the t-shirts? I'm not sure if I'm allowed to name names, and wouldn't want to say without asking those involved beforehand. It's why I kept it vague.
