ClassicsGuy
http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/WWE_Ca...ne_McMahon.html  WWE originally planned for Triple H to ride a Clydesdale horse to the ring for his match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVII. During a test run, the horse fell through the trap door on the WrestleMania stage, with Hunter riding it. The horse was spooked and went wild. Plans for the ring entrance were immediately scrapped.  Been confirmed as true by Bryan Alvarez on the F4W site.  Imagine if HHH had fell through the trap door live on the ppv?  WWE definitely had a lucky escape there. Paid Members Carbomb Posted April 11, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted April 11, 2011 Really? Would've been MUCH more appropriate for 'Taker if they had, given the whole cowboy thing.

It must of been a very stressful moment for the poor creature.

How the hell did they manage it at WM9?

Paid Members Ron Simmons Posted April 11, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted April 11, 2011 Here's a bit more detail on the incident: Our source says Triple H couldn't guide the massive animal away from the trap door, which had a casket (this would hold The Undertaker). That would then rise to the top of the stage during the entrances. According to the source, the horse fell through the stage with Triple H riding it and crushed the casket during the rehearsal. 'Taker was not inside at the time. The arena was immediately cleared of staff members and rehearsal was canceled. We've been told that the horse was stuck for hours and almost had to be euthanized due to the extreme stress it had suffered. WWE crew members also had to dismantle the stage so the horse could be freed.  WWE management then made the call that it was not worth the risk and plans were scrapped. It's from a newz site, wrestlinginc.com, so take it for what it is.  I'm surprised they nearly risked such an entrance, the loud noise of the crowd, combined with the music and lighting just screams disaster when you put a horse in the mix.  Aside from the risk to horse, Triple H was at serious risk also. Imagine if he'd been seriously injured live on PPV.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted April 11, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted April 11, 2011 I thought the entrances for Taker and Triple H was a highlight of WrestleMania as it was. It was a proper long walk for the pair and there wasnt any commentary as they made the long walk.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted April 11, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted April 11, 2011 Ahh, this would explain why 'Taker's entrance was so oddly underwhelming. I liked what he did at WM, but when you consider all the other stuff he's done, it didn't quite suit the occasion for him to effectively do his regular TV entrance with different music. I think a horse would have actually taken away from things, given how silly it might have been.
RepoMan
Now if it'd been a dancing horse, moving hoof to hoof to the beat of Metallica .. THEN I would've been impressed. Â Riding a horse is so boring.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted April 11, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted April 11, 2011 Triple H should have tried to play mind games with Undertaker and arrived on a horse, wearing a dress to Johnny Cash's A Boy Named Sue.

Zell
Lol sounds cool actually, but like other's have said, with all the stuff going on: music, lights, crowd the horse would most probably get spooked anyways. Still it would've been a great image/moment.
The Invisible Boy
Yeah apparently the trap door it fell through had Undertaker's coffin under it (obviously Taker wasn't in it at that point though) and the horse destroyed it when it fell on top of it. Imagine if it had happened at the event and Taker was in the coffin ready to make his entrance. Â Edit: Sorry, just realised this has been mentioned already.
