I hate Dave Meltzer and everything associated with the Wrestling observer. Why is it even called that any more? Ever listen to his radio shows? He talks about wrestling with such distain in his voice before quickly changing to talk about MMA. You can tell he's way more into that than pro wrestling these days. It's almost like he mocks pro wrestling. His news is mostly guff anyway. Rant over.

These must be in some sort of bubble where they think wrestling and MMA is the same thing. Never got the connection myself. Apart from the shirtless men and entrance music, and the fact its on PPV, is there any similarities? Did the Observer ever cover boxing? Thats a PPV company, thats promoted using feuds and interviews, that has entrance music and big muscles and dodgy promoters. Where's the join between the two?

Must have been the no-sell that bent people out of shape. I don't see what the issue was, but since more people thought the Dreamer stuff was in better taste, I'll just assume that the voters are inbreds.

Isnt his daughter a trained child actress, who's smart to the business and who knows Raven on a personal level? The match itself and the outfit Tommy Dreamer wore against AJ Styles were more offensive than that.

I can't think of anything beyond the business strategy, the promotional tactics, the mini Vince McMahon, the entrances, the promos and most of the moves. In the case of Pride, even the ring.

 

MMA is clearly an amalgamation of Pro-wrestling and a bit of boxing.
