The Miz Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Show debuted tonight on BBC2, quite enjoyed it, made me want to watch next week. Â Basically two people with a hit British sitcom get asked by a big Hollywood Producer if they would like to remake said sitcom for a US audience in America. They travel over and end up having Matt Le Blanc off of Friends as the star of the show. Â Anyone else see it?
mackie Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 The first 2 episodes have been out for a few weeks. I found it a bit hit and miss for a comedy although the pacing is very good. Episode 2 is better but still not the next big thing in british comedy.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 11, 2011 Moderators Posted January 11, 2011 I'd never heard of this, but I like the premise! I think I'll have to check it out..
Paid Members herbie747 Posted January 11, 2011 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2011 Sounds like The Office, lol.
GalaxyV.2 Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Its by one of the writers from Friends isn't it? I'll check it out on the iplayer.
Steveo2007 Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Watched the first episode last night and quite enjoyed it. Some brilliant moments but not perfect
Paid Members Burchill's Buddy Posted January 11, 2011 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2011 Just watched the first episode, very enjoyable and I imagine it will only get better once Le Blanc comes into it. Griffiths was awesome as always.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted January 11, 2011 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2011 The first episode was not great. Had a couple alright moments. But it was obviously a set-up episode so I'll watch next week.
Paid Members JLM Posted January 11, 2011 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2011 It's absolutely deplorable that Le Blanc can still get work after the things he's done.
Paid Members Burchill's Buddy Posted January 11, 2011 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2011 It's absolutely deplorable that Le Blanc can still get work after the things he's done. 10 seasons of Friends buys him at least one more shot in my book. 'Joey' was, of course, godawful, and Lost in Space was possibly the worst out of all the 80's TV remakes....but he hasn't done toooo much else wrong has he? Wiki tells me he was executive producer on Jonah Hex recenty, I haven't seen it so can't comment.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 11, 2011 Moderators Posted January 11, 2011 Jonah Hex was a bit shit, but not an atrocity.
Paid Members Burchill's Buddy Posted January 11, 2011 Paid Members Posted January 11, 2011 Jonah Hex was a bit shit, but not an atrocity. There you go J, he's improving.

Couldnt watch a full series of it, but I didnt think it was as abysmal as people though.
