xear
nodq.com  Credit: PWInsider.com  According to an article by The Courier Journal out of Louisville, Kentucky, an 18 year-old man is suing WWE, Triple H, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for an injury he allegedly suffered at the Judgment Day PPV in 2000. The event was headlined by HHH vs. The Rock in an Iron Man match and the man was seven years old at the time of the incident.  The article states that when HHH and Rock brawled into the crowd, there was a chain reaction of people moving that ended with a woman landing on the plaintiff and allegedly causing him knee and leg injuries. The plaintiff, named Basham in the article, recently had to have surgery on the knee. His attorney is claiming that there is no statue of limitations for filing the lawsuit since Basham was a minor when he was allegedly injured. The lawsuit accused WWE of failing to properly stage the match and provide adequate security for its customers. HHH and Rock are named in the suit and accused of "reckless, willful and wanton conduct."  The suit was filed on Monday, and WWE has not responded to media requests regarding the lawsuit.   http://ftpcontent.worldnow.com/wdrb/news/therocksuit.pdf a PDF of the lawsuit filing. Â Apparently this is correct - it was actually Jordan Chandler's late father Evan who filed the lawsuit against Michael Jackson - I presume because in the USA, they don't allow a minor to file a lawsuit or charges against someone. Big Rob
so if he was injured back then surely his parents could have stuck a law suit against them back then, i bet the wee shite was jumping for joy when the american bad ass showed up. bloody yanks will sue for anything Maybe his parents didn't think he should sue. And whilst we don't really know the full story, an injury resulting in leg surgery is hardly just "anything", it's not quite trying to sue McDonalds for the coffee cups not warning that the contents was hot. Truth
Did you all read the sentence "recently had to have surgery on the knee"? Maybe they did not realise at the time that the injury would require surgery 10-11 years later. Â I agree with Big Rob. There are plenty cases of stupid reasons to sue for money in the USA but this is not one of them.
