Had a feeling that would happen. Within days of the comments, maybe even the next day in a Helwani interview, Dana was saying he'd been talking to Torres' manger or something and that he still liked Torres.  Torres belongs in the UFC, he's not the force he once was but he deserves to be there. I'm glad it's sorted out. Still some great fights to be made with Faber, Pickett, Jorgensen or even that Michael McDonald fight Ebb mentioned wanting to see before.

He may deserve to be in the UFC based on his ability, but he shouldn't have said what he did. Saying that, Dana was stupid to fire him for it. A public apology, a fine and some visits to charity centres and so forth would have done the trick. Â It's incidents like this that make me question Dana's ability when the company is in the public eye. He fires someone in the heat of the moment, then resigns him a month or so later. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted December 29, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted December 29, 2011 Yeah he deffo shouldn't have said it. But like you say, Dana has been known to make rash decisions and the feeling I got was he never really gave Torres much chance to apologize. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted December 29, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted December 29, 2011 This is Day 2 of the UFC 141 video blog. I know I could have put it in the 141 thread but this is nowt to do with that show. It's a short vid trying to clear up the recent 'fastest KO in UFC history' debate.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfwzSfFxd70...layer_embedded#!  So by this vid the top 3 are  1- Duane Ludwig (vs Jonathan Goulet) - 6.06 seconds 2- Korean Zombie (vs Mark Hominick) - 6.26 seconds 3- Todd Duffee (vs Tim Hague) - 7.56 seconds  Interesting. Obviously mistakes get made but something like this should be recorded correctly imo, even if it means doing this and going over the tapes. I know it doesn't mean a whole lot in the big picture but Bang Ludwig should hold the current record.

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted December 29, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted December 29, 2011 That would be even better. Didn't even think of that one for 145 because Jones was saying he wanted a bit of a break after being so active in 2011. He wanted 5-6 months off. Still, be a huge main event if it happens.  Maybe have  Jones vs Hendo (LHW title) Velasquez vs Mir Maynard vs Guida  on the same card. That's already fuckin stacked. Â Not to mention Dana himself made a rape joke a few days later but that was OK because it's funny when guys get raped rather it being worse than the holocaust when it happens to a woman. jimufctna24
I will eat a bit of humble pie and admit I was a bit harsh on Jon Jones drawing power  http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f2/ufc-ppv-b...2012-a-1943995/  Still not a mega draw, but at least decent in the current climate.
