John Hathaway & Oli Thompson have had to pull out of UFC 138 for illness and orn bicep injury respectively. Rob Broughton now faces Phil DeFries and the Faaloloto Vs. Etim has been bumped to the main card.

Sucks for Thompson on his debut. Great for Etim getting on the main card though.

I was surprised about Bonnar but I think Nate will be in as a WW cos he only just went back to 155. He'll probably be playable at both weights but 170 will be his main class. Ken Flo and Tyson Griffin will probably be revealed when the featherweights are shown and have a (also fights at lightweight) next to their name.

Guys like Wanderlei werent listed for 205 cos they must have him at 185 but theres pics of him fighting LHWs aswell so i wouldnt worry about Florian, Nate etc.

That's a good point, completely forgot about Griffin and Florian at featherweight and Nate being at WW. To take out Lauzon and add someone like Diabate is stupid IMO. Lauzon is a huge game fan too, so to leave him out seems cruel :)

Sonnen Withdraws his 'Loser leaves town' stipulation. Taken from The UG.

Given the countless WWE-esque things that have come out of Sonnen’s mouth over the past couple of years, many questioned whether his threat was serious. Today on The Jim Rome Show, the controversial wrestler pulled his unprecedented proposal off the table due to Silva’s unresponsiveness.

“That offer was good when I made it, but it’s like any offer, they’ve got to expire,” Sonnen stated. “Apparently, that didn’t work. I’m doing anything I can to lure him out, and yes, I would have absolutely done that. I’ll do a winner-takes-all, I’ll do any stipulation that he wants. All he needed to do was stand up and give me a thumbs up. If he wanted to accept that offer, all he needed to do was nod to me, have one of his handlers come in the back and say, ‘Anderson accepts.’

“He did the exact opposite. He went to the media and said, ‘I do not want to fight that guy.’ So what can I do? Now I gotta come up with a new offer.”

I'm a huge Chael fan, but It's crazy to think that he lost his initial fight with Silva, got busted and suspended for PED's, won a single fight back in the organisation and thinks he has a right to call out the champion on his own terms, and then gets pissed when Silva doesn't want any of it.

If anyone else tried to pull this shit, they would get laughed out the building.

Gotta love him though ;)

Gabriel Gonzaga

Junior dos Santos

Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic

Gonzaga and McCorkle dont need to be in. Would have liked Overeem and Werdum.

anyone seen this jiu jitsu match from the ADCC 2011 show last week? it's Rousimar Palhares against David Avellan...

ADCC 2011

it's a controversial little clip, basically the ref calls break (i assume because they are out bounds) just as Palhares cranks a knee bar, Palhares then goes to hug Avellan to apologise for the submission but kinda clips him on the head, Avellan gets pissed. After Palhares apolgises and tries to say he was just going for a hug 2000 times they reset both guys in the knee bar position center mat...they restart and Palhares just destroys Avellan's knee. If i was Avellan i'd have backed out when i got the chance.

Palahares is a dangerous human being.

Paul Harris is a fucking mentalist.

Re: Undisputed 3. Why is Gonzaga in there? Hasnt he been out the UFC for over a year?

They've probably still got the rights to his likeness from the previous games, Pretty sure the opposite counts for Overeem, his likeness is probably still under option for the EA sequel that will never get made (May mean he might make it as a DLC at a later date though)

They may have the rights to his name etc, but with limited spots in this years game, wouldn't it be beneficial to use the fighters currently employed by the UFC in the game? Especially as Mitrione has a bit of a following these days. Seems stupid to me to leave someone like him out to include Gonzaga.
