  1. Going to see Tool in Manchester on Monday night. Bit the bullet and bought a couple of "platinum" tickets right by the stage. ÂŁ100 each which I think might be discounted since the concert is on Monday as I am sure they were significantly more expensive last time I checked?

Also secured tickets for Rage Against The Machine in Edinburgh in August.

Yes I am over 35 years of age.

  2. I quite enjoyed Tunic but I still think Deaths Door is a better game. I preferred the art style and thought the combat was a bit more satisfying. There was also some pretty good humour in it.

I would also recommend giving Young Souls a look if you have Game Pass. Despite the word 'Souls' in the title its thankfully not yet another Dark Souls clone. Its more of a side scrolling beat em up meets action RPG in a somewhat-open world. Like the above, it has a nice art style and is really well written. It can be played cooperatively too.

  3. I find Pendejo Time, Who Up? and Podcast About List hilarious.

If you like Cum Town, Chapo Trap House and that sort of nonsense funny then you probably would be amused by these.

Something very comforting about them because you can tell all involved are really good friends and find each other genuinely funny. All 3 podcasts pretty much boil down to groups of quite weird guys talking complete and utter bollocks.

The only music podcasts I listen to are Riot Act and Broken Records which are both hosted by the same two guys. I feel like I have been listening to Stephen Hill talk about music for about half my life now so, again, its got that comfort factor for me personally. Riot Act is pretty good for new music recommendations and the odd deep-dive into classic records. Broken Records is often laugh out loud funny. I've been laughing to myself at Robin Thicke going on about "black daddy" all week.

Gaming wise I have never found one that I listen to consistently. I enjoy Retronauts but I only listen if its a game I am very familiar with. Even then there is quite a revolving cast of hosts and some are truly insufferable. Shame because at its best its a great listen.

I still listen to Wrestling Observer Radio on the regular just to hear what nonsense big Dave Meltzer is coming out with. This is more out of habit than anything else as I have been listening to him for a frightening number of years at this point. I barely care about what's happening and I definitely don't care about tv ratings and demographics etc. At this point its the idiosyncrasies of Dave I tune in for. The long term story ark of Meltzer having some sort of alarm beeping in the background that he refused to do anything about was comedy gold. What an oddball.

Compared to a lot of dlc it’s still quite light. They were never going to charge £25 for it to launch the PS5 but that’s probably it’s true value to people who might only be able to afford to buy a few games a year.

For me it was nice to play a AAA game and not have 90 hours of side missions to pad it out.

I quite enjoyed Miles Morales and Resident Evil 3 but both seemed like DLC to me. Not even particularly substantial DLC at that.

I play a lot of games. It's pretty much my biggest hobby and its one I am willing to spend decent chunk of money on. Games being a disappointment or being on the short side isn't something that tends to really bother me these days. Back when I was a kid or when I had way less disposable income I think I would have felt pretty ripped off though.

  5. Meltzer is reporting that the Supercard of Honor PPV did 20,000 buys. This is over and above those who watched on Honor Club apparently.

Seems like a good number to me. Gonna have to assume there was interest in the first show under new management as well as the possibility of surprises.

FTR and the Briscoes definitely felt like a big match too.

I was trying ask for genuine help, after drawing a blank elsewhere.

2 separate crime reference numbers, 6 different police logs,  in receipt of poison pen letters and unable to get further help after exhausting myself trying to get answers

Ive overdosed more than once because of the trauma and stress of the situation.

Im struggling massively and had to come off social media because I'm being stalked too.

This place is usually very good for help when chips are down and has some informative people.

I'm m sorry that it's amusing for you.

Whats the actual scenario here? Your utilities are in your ex partners name and you need to get them moved into your name?

  7. Ended up not watching the shows, mostly as the usual group of friends I watch with were not interested this year. There is no way I was watching 8-10 hours of WWE by myself in one weekend.

I did watch some clips of the main things and the highlight was definitely Austin absolutely fucking losing his shit laughing at Vince losing all control of his body and quite possibly his bowels.

With Elden Ring being the big thing right now I'm surprised they didn't announce Demon's Souls as one of the first games, that could have been a good hook.

But Sony have said it won't be releasing big games to the service like Microsoft do with Gamepass.

I think they are releasing big games as its Launching with Spider-Man and Returnal. Looks like they have said that its just not cost effective for them to launch on day one like Microsoft do on Game Pass with their first party games.

  9. "PS Plus Extra — £83.99/$99.99 Per Year

PS Plus Extra includes everything from the PS Plus Essential tier alongside nearly 400 downloadable PS5 and PS4 games. At launch, the line-up will include Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal."

    - Push Square

I will be pretty happy with this is the PS5 games are of a similar quality to Returnal. Stuff I like the look of but don't really want to jump in on for full price.

  10. Anyone can chime in and give their opinion on anything. Its up to you to decide if it carries any weight based on the persons credibility, how they have formed this opinion etc.

What I actually said was that I cant imagine anyone except a WWE diehard considering him to be one of the GOATs. If someone like that thinks that's the case then that's fine but I don't necessarily think its particularly credible when there are so many others who have had amazing careers with nowhere near the level of horrendous filth diluting the quality down. If you want to give your arguments on why HHH is legitimately one of the top names in the history of pro wrestling then I would be interested in hearing that argument. The only way to actually weigh this up is my comparing him to others.

Basically what I am saying is, if someone hits out with an opinion like that I would be inclined to ask what they are basing it on. Much like if someone claimed that You'll Love to Hate This by Richard Blackwood is one of the greatest and most important rap records of all time.

  11. Austin can remember about 3 anecdotes in total from his entire career so I am not that bothered by that. Did you know he regrets walking out before the Lesnar match? Did you know he thought the business was a shoot before his debut with Frogman Lebranc? Fascinating stuff.

If anyone wants to say he is one of the best of all time that's fine but I would press further, personally. I can only assume by "one of the best" you actually mean one of the top 100 or something because there is absolutely not a chance he is top 5, 10, 20 etc. How many of the greats can you, with any credibility, say he is better than? For me in terms of star power, charisma, workrate, matches I would actually enjoy re-watching etc then he is pretty fucking far down that list.

How many of the following is he above?

Austin, Rock, Hogan, Cena, Bret Hart, Misawa, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Terry Funk, Jushin Liger, Eddy Guererro, Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, Kenta Kobashi, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Ricky Steamboat, Kazuchika Okada, Chris Jericho...

Triple H is actually a pretty great brawler and I'd argue what he's best at. All his best matches were brawls. Sadly he seems to think of himself as a technician like Flair so instead of a career full of great brawls most his matches were boring as sin rest hold fests. It's why in ring he excelled in the Attitude era as matches were brawling/signature spots focused, once they moved away from that he was dull as dishwater.

Which was completely at odds with his obsession with bodybuilding and being portrayed as an unshakable cool hardman.

  13. I only sat and passed my driving test for the first time in 2019 despite being in my 30s.

I think I was quite lucky with the examiner I drew on the day as I was terrible at driving at the time. No rhyme or reason to it. Some days I would get in the car for my lesson and drive flawlessly and other days I would be trying to start the car in 3rd gear, stalling about 10 times straight at busy lights etc.

Anyway the day of my test he simply said to me "just stop driving like a big jessie" and exited the car immediately after handing me the thing telling me I had passed.

  14. At what point do you think Big Will's scorched brain opted to go with a slap?

I like to think when he stood up he was thinking "I am going rock his body with big, nasty hooks" but at some point between that moment and the moment of impact he thought "...that might be a bit much actually" so went with a shotei instead.

Also a very strange move to slap someone and then walk away, sit down and start shouting at them.
