  1. The problem with Bradley is he is now trying far too hard to be arrogant and create a different persona to generate more interest in himself and make the big money. I think it will work as the Americans even if they find him cocky, up his own behind etc will pay to watch him and so will the networks. It's a shame he feels he has to go down this route. If Pac beats Rios next month I think it be Bradley/Pac II. Ultimately at present moment it be very difficult to make Mayweather/Bradley due to them being on different networks and the whole issue with Arum promoting Bradley. On the fight itself, I thought Bradley done a good job, he fought a smart fight, his movement was key and he showed he does have more variety in his game then he has shown previously over the years. Marquez just couldn't pin him and land the shots he needed to hit to get Bradley's full respect for his power.

  2. A new star is born in pro ranks, Lomachenko is a beast. Going to be a lot of fun watching this guy in the pro ranks, what a body shot, reminded me of GGG against Macklin. He'll win world title in his next fight if he gets the shot.

  3. Lomachenko is crazy. He wanted world title shot in first fight, he is meant to fight the winner or Salido/Cruz on tonight's card next if he wins, has anyone ever won a world title in his second pro fight? Crazy thing is I think he will do it, talk about a talent.

  4. I didn't realise Marquez vs Bradley was tonight. Thought it was next week for some reason. Can't wait for that. Should be a fantastic fight. Hoping Marquez wins.

Wasn't that Gatti-Ward Legendary Nights supposed to air around now?

Should be a great fight tonight, I'm going with Marquez on a tight points decision.

The Gatti/Ward Legendary nights airs next week on HBO after the Alverado/Provodnikov fight which should you would imagine end up being a all out war.

  5. Lewis knows there is a very slim chance of anybody offering him $100M to step foot again in a boxing ring. It's something he said a long time ago and he's never changed his opinion on it. Wlad got a huge sum the other night and what was it, say $22M so I think safe to say Lewis will stay retired and so he should. He has nothing to prove to anyone. Looking forward to the fights on Saturday, Lomachenko debut will be interesting and what a fight Marquez/Bradley could turn out to be. I think both will try to counter box and it will end up being a war. I go with Marquez to take it on a close points decision. Salido/Cruz should be good, I think Salido can get the belt he lost to Garcia back here with a late stoppage.

  6. No doubt they'll make good use of the time they have in preperation of this fight to make it seem like Khan has a fighting chance. The aspect to me that makes it slightly interesting is Khan is quicker, Mayweather has never had to face that before besides Judah who I wouldn't say was quicker but he had the speed back then and was slick. I'm sure in the build up it be all about's Khan's speed, but it won't make too much of a difference in the ring, he's going to get picked off and then either knocked out or stopped. I don't believe he deserves the shot, but when has that ever mattered in boxing.

  7. Anyone see Stevenson vs Cloud? Stevenson dominated it from start to finish. Cloud's corner pulled him out in the seven round and that was for the best. Stevenson impressed me with his boxing ability tonight, more so then his power as you know he has that in abundance. He has Bellew next and I expect him to come through that with a KO or stoppage within six rounds, then maybe will see him in the ring with the winner of Pascal/Bute, Hopkins or what I think would be the greatest fight of them all put him in against Kovalev, what a fight that would be.

  8. I agree that it was worse then the Pac/Bradley decision. It shouldn't be allowed to happen, but continues to happy far too much in this sport. There's no one reallly left for him to face. The Pac fight will never happen and everyone else I can't see who has all that's needed to come close. He's still got four fights left on his showtime deal so he'll find some more golden boy fighters to beat up, I'm still hoping we get a heel turn from Broner at some point and have him step up, he's fried enough to throw the friendship out the window and even more fried to believe he can take the 0.

  9. The woman judge who scored that a draw needs to get the boot. Bad enough she gave Bradley the decision over Pacquiao, but that tonight was just as bad if not worse. Kind of running out of words when it comes to Mayweather now, he makes good fighters look very ordinary and just picks them apart with ease for the most part. That was easy night's work for him, someone from somewhere needs to make it a very competitive fight.

  10. May has beaten bascially everyone that he could have in his era. The only blemish on his resume which will stand out and will be used against him once he retires is Pacquiao. May won't care though as he will be able to say Pac lost throughout his career and in the later stages making the fight redundent. It will tarnish his legacy, whether he wants to admit it or not. It tarnishes both of their's as neither did enough to give us the biggest fight off all time. May can earn huge money and give his opponents no where near knowing he is going to win, much easier to do that then to give half the money away to someone else and know there's a chance you may lose. Pac calling for the fight in recent months is desperation, if he had done that at his peak, when every one wanted it, it could have happened, but he was never vocal enough and hid behind the fact he let's his promoter do his business. I would say May/Canelo is the biggest other fight out there, it's going to make huge money and it be interesting to see if it beats May/De la Hoya PPV record, I think it will fall just short personally, but anything over 1.5M will represent great business.

  11. I'm guessing Matthysse in six or Garcia from six onwards. I'm unsure how to call that fight, Garcia is good at everything, Matthysse is a killer, but boxers have beat him in the past, for me it's whether Garcia is a good enough boxers to stay away and pick him off.

  12. It's been on tonight since 7.30pm. It might be earlier on in the day tomorrow too, but I know in the evening for sure. Such a great card. Weigh in soon, Canelo better make weight after all this, lol.

  13. Last access was last night, wandshogun09, the all access shows are on boxnation tomorrow for free from 11.30pm tomorrow. All four of them, then you get free half hour and from 2am you have to order.

  14. All access has been really good for this fight as have the build up press conferences. The weigh in which starts at 10pm GMT time tonight should be good too. Canelo will make it tough for May, but I still don't think he has the speed to do what's needed to take Floyd's 0. It's some bill for tomorrow night. Boxnation doing a deal where if you pay 10 for the month and 10 booking fee you get second month free, so basically 20 pounds for two months of the channel use, the code is MAYWEATHER.

  15. I see Arreola took out Mitchell in one round last night, hurt him with the first meaningful punch he landed, put him on the canvas, Mitchell got back up but was stopped a few seconds later by the referee. Should put Arreola in there next with Wilder, it be fun while it lasts.

  16. To echo the other comments made on here about the fight I also had Beltran winning the fight, no doubt in my mind he done enough to go home with the belt. Fair play to Burns for hanging in there the way he did if his jaw is as bad as they said it was and after only two rounds, but that doesn't change the fact he didn't do enough to deserve earning a draw tonight.

  17. Burns vs Beltran ahould be good tonight. Burns got something to prove after not such a good display in his last fight against Gonzalez. Beltran more known for sparring with Pacquiao for big fights, but as we saw with Provodnikov who also been used in build up for fights by Pacquiao these guys can fight. I'm expecting Burns to come through comfortably enough with maybe a dodgy moment or two to win by last stoppage or a points decision.

The Mayweather bill is one of the best boxing PPV's ever put together. We get May vs Canelo, Garcia vs Matthyse and Smith vs Molina all world title fights on the same night is impressive. The 14th is going to be one of he best boxing nights off all time, I can't wait for it. Boxing in the next few months is shaping up to be amazing with so many big, fun fights confirmed.

  18. It rarely works when you go from fgihting bums to facing a killer. I said before the fight was announced that you don't need a Kov in your life. Cleverly didn't need to take the fight, could get bigger pay days and better chances to win in other fights. I give him credit for wanting this fight, but look where it got him.

its easy to say that after the fight. kovolov hadnt really beat a propper quaulity guy, while cleverly had beat bellew who is a legitimate number one or two contender for the green belt. I dont think Cleverly got found out at all - not that you said that, but others have, i still think he is propper world class, he just fought an extremely hard pucher who managed to catch him. I would still fancy Cleverly over Hopkins and Dawson. Hes still only 26 and will be back. The problem nowadays comes from when people lose their 0 they are written off. Cleverly will adapt and be back and win the championship again i think.

on a side note, barker brought a tear to my eye. what a man.

I said it before the fight, you can go back in this thread for proof of that. Bellew has beat no one to get that number 1 ranking. He has never shown that he's world class, he isn't a great boxer, he isn't a big puncher, he lived of Warren's usual of guys being given the WBO title and making cash off it. He's a good fighter, I'd never take that away from him, but 'world class' not in my eyes. Kov had beat Campillo who was a former world champ.

  20. Got to see and meet Bowe on Thursday as he was down at my local boxing gym. He seemed in good spirits and was friendly with everyone. It's a shame he and Lewis never met in the pro ranks, would have been a great fight.

Looking forward to Froch/Groves and the build up should be good. It's a hard one to judge as Groves is a banger for the most part, but he showed in the Degale fight that he can adapt and box on the back foot which Froch has always struggled with(hence why he was trying to bait Groves yesterday into having a war) I hope the fight is at the o2 as I really wanna go watch it.

  21. Got my ticket for Haye/Fury too, I can't wait. Fury knows his stuff, I have to give him that. He's playing games for sure, but either way I expect to see him eat the canvas and either stay there or be stopped by the ref inside 5 rounds.

  22. That was a brilliant interview from Thompson, I hope he comes over here again and gets his hands on Fury, I'd love to see him do the same thing. He does deserve more respect, you take losing to Wlad twice out the equation and he has a very good record.

  23. Don't know where Price goes from here after that. Should not be that exhausted after five rounds of action even if he did throw a lot of punches in the fight, credit to Thompson for surviving the early scare, great body shot in forth round and once he had Price in the fifth he wasn't going to let it go. I'm not sure what he does next, maybe a new choice of trainer and new camp because the preperations didn't seem good enough.
