Right gotcha, that's what you meant.

So let me get this straight as I might be misunderstanding you. What you are saying is that 11 professional football players will go out and essentially throw a game as it might hand an advantage to their rivals if they don't.

Is that what you're suggesting? Maybe someone should tell the authorities or the police. Sounds serious.

Yes, it's what I meant, will see if you beat City when you don't need to and it benefits us, I hope you do it.

What I'm saying is 11 professional footballers going out on the pitch in a game that means absolutely nothing to them in terms of winning it , helps their rivals, with fans in the stadium wanting them to not win can have an impact on how they perform.

Sorry, you do know professional football is played by professional football players doing a job, and not fans.

Like, I'm not actually playing. You are aware of this?

This is the problem that football fans make all the time. Mickey van de Ven does not give as much of a shit as me if Arsenal win the league. They probably don't even care. They'll just want to win the game.

Still, nice of Arsenal fans to create an excuse for something that hasn't even happened yet. Always a treat.

Edit: EDIT WANKER. Also you have been in that situation before. 1999. Les Ferdinand nearly fucked it up, before sanity (and United) prevailed.

I do know that and that they play in front of fans who if they know the positive result they don't need, but get helps their rivals the mentality and energy is completely different.

Huh? Who said anything about you playing?

Will see of that's the case come the game, if you have anything to play for I don't believe it will be, but hey, I hope I'm wrong.

No excuse, its what possible could happen as you are the one team left who o believe can stop them, problem of course is when that fixture drops it may not mean anything to you to stop it.

I know we been in that situation before, not sure why you bring that up, I knew then you'd lose, you gave them a decent game though and yes United prevailed, we know what happened after that in that season and not something I want to remember.

You must not have seen any Spurs-Man City game in the last 10 years as we beat them every year. Sometimes twice a year, so not sure where you've suddenly got this "roll over" thing from.

    Fulham yeah. City no.

I've seen you beat them many times in recent years and reminded about it at home, but if you have nothing to play for and beating Man City helps Arsenal, what then? We never been in that situation before, why you acting you wouldn't roll over if nothing to play for and help screw us over, I don't get, if you did so I wouldn't blame you, the way the fixtures work it can happen and I worried about it when Man City reached the FA Cup semi final, I knew this game be moves to second from last game of the season and I think you'll have forth spot wrapped up by then.

  4. Fantastic win for us yesterday. We looked very strong and in the end won comfortably. Seven games to go, looks like will need to win all of them, which will be tough but we've had a great 2024 so far after ending 2023 with back to back losses to West Ham and Fulham respectively. Spurs could have a big say in where the title ends up seeing as they have to play all three of us, just hopefully they need to play for something when their game against Manchester City takes place, so we know they can't just lie down and roll over for them.  Now on to Bayern Munich and putting thr final nail on Harry Kane's trophy dreams.

  5. That was a passionate promo from Copeland. Strong list of guys for him to face that he has never been in the ring with before. By the omission of one wrestlers name, I assume he has faced MJF in the ring before.

STABLE: BBC ACQUIRES THE BOXING GAME DOCUMENTARY SERIES

A new observational four-part documentary series STABLE: The Boxing Game following the ups and downs inside the McGuigan family’s boxing gym is coming to BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday 30 March 2024.

Produced by Lorton Entertainment, the series tracks eight fighters from across the UK as they battle their way up boxing’s ranks. STABLE documents life both inside and outside of the ring, in a sport where one fight can be all it takes to make or break a career.

Shane McGuigan, son of International Boxing Hall of Famer Barry McGuigan, trains the fighters alongside assistant coach Josh Pritchard, while Shane’s brother Jake McGuigan manages the majority of the eight boxers.

With a ring-side seat to recent national and international fights and all-access to the tough training the fighters – who come to the east London gym from Slough, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Catford and Greenwich – face in their search for success.

The series charts the incredible stories of boxers such as Chris Billam-Smith, heavyweight Daniel Dubois and his sister Caroline Dubois, brothers Adam and Hassan Azim, Robbie Davies Jr, Ellie Scotney, and Anthony Fowler.

As well as delving into the McGuigans’ unique boxing journey, the series sheds light on the challenges the family has faced.

Julian Bird, CEO and Founder, Lorton Entertainment, says: “We believe that this documentary encapsulates everything that is so powerful about boxing: hard-work, community, resilience, and reward. This series is characterized by the everyday sacrifices and commitments boxers make. We’ve told the stories of some of the biggest names in sport, and it is incredible to add Barry, Shane and all the fighters in the gym to that list.”

Lorton Entertainment has previously made high-profile documentaries Boom! Boom!: The World vs. Boris Becker for Apple TV+, Amazon Original feature documentary ROONEY, Disney+’s documentary series Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story and will film, direct and produce an upcoming documentary on Liverpool FC.

Jo Lapping, Head of Factual Acquisition, BBC, says: “Whether you’re a boxing fan or not is irrelevant when it comes to STABLE: this series is a compelling watch giving viewers an intimate look at the discipline, dedication, and determination needed to succeed in the sport. We’re excited to be bringing this to audiences across the BBC, introducing them to an inspiring, aspirational, tightly knit group of fighters at the start of a huge sporting year.”

STABLE: The Boxing Game is a four-part series produced by Lorton Entertainment and acquired by BBC Factual Acquisition. Executive Producers for STABLE are Ed Barratt and Julian Bird, the Series Producers are Lucy Hardy and Arthur Landon, and the Series Director is Gavin Fitzgerald.

All four episodes of STABLE: The Boxing Game are streaming on BBC iPlayer from 6am on Saturday 30 March 2024, and broadcast as double bills on BBC One after Match of the Day on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 March 2024.

Not sure if anyone aware of this being on tonight so thought I'd post in case anyone wants to check out.

Well, Downstait are releasing a less-good, angrier version of Cody's theme in time for Mania so I think a Roman/Cody double turn has to be on the cards..

You can't argue with the rules of wrestling music.

Sounds impressive. I can't see Rhodes turning heel out of all off this. I assume he wins the belts but the doubt it my mind is they were going for Reings vs The Rock before the backlash, makes me wonder if they really want to put the belt on him now.

  8. I'm sure I heard The Rock is due for this Monday night, so I need to be staying up to watch the live. I'm not sure if he is on Smackdown tonight or Reigns either for that matter, hopefully both are if not one will do. They've  improvised this very well from the route it looked like they were first going down, I have no idea what is going to happen at Wrestlemania on either night, so credit to them, going to make me stay up for most of the night for both nights.

  9. Good to see Turki has both Warren and Hearn on a leash, shows that no matter what, they'll do whatever they're told for the money. I rarely listen to Hearn but heard him after Dalton Smith fight going for Shalom and saying does Aziz really want it, how Smith is four levels above and they are looking at work title shots for him, changed his tune in less then 5 seconds which is even quicker then usual for him when he flaps his gums.

Wardley vs Clarke I'm interested in coming up. I've been unsure about Clarke since the amateur days, never been that taken by him or rated him anything special, but he has big opportunity here and I'll give some credit to Shalom for getting him the fight like he said he would after he pulled him out first time around when the purse bids were ordered.

  10. The Rock is out of this world. Only thing that  comes out of the end off Wrestlemania is Reigns vs. The Rock at Wrestlemania 41. It should be now, but that's fine, I'll patiently watch the build up and wait a year for it to happen.

The rebuilding job they've done on Joshua has been second to none to be fair. Eddie Hearn had to retreat into his shell for a while but he's giving it the full blown "best heavyweight on the planet" treatment again. If Fury beats Usyk, the potential Fury/AJ fight will probably be bigger than ever, who'd have thought that a couple of years ago?

I believe you giving Eddie Hearn too much credit here. Joshua should be sending thank you notes to Tyson Fury for what has happened here, if Fury had dealt with Ngannou the way, the heavyweight champion of the world should with a guy making his professional debut in a boxing right, none of this nonsense would be going on. You want that Fury/Joshua undisputed fight?

  12. Joshua done the job well, heavy knock out and good to see Ngannou is fine and cracking jokes afterwards about being knocked out. Obviously the Joshua win is in overdrive now with how he's the baddest and best heavyweight in the world now because of this and him beating Wallin, Helanius and Franklin previously beforehand. It seems like some who are saying this are completely forgetting the guy at the top of the division, who holds 3 World titles, undefeated and already beat Joshua not once, but twice name. Must be a slip of the tongue. Now it's all in overdrive about Fury and Joshua fighting for the undisputed title, I just really hope May 18th happens and we don't get no more quacking from a certain fighter and Usyk can end that argument for good.

Parker beating Wilder and Zhang back to back in under a three month period is highly impressive.

  13. I think Joshua will have seen enough in Ngannou's first ever professional fight to stay away, use his jab and if he ends and up getting too close, hold and tie up best he can. Ngannou to his credit has made it big time, taking the 2nd best heavyweight arguably on the planet to points and losing in a close Split decision(that I felt like he won) I have to go with Joshua via decision.

As someone who in the last year spent time in a psychiatry unit through how low they felt about themselves, their worth in life and their perception amongst others I hope you find peace.

You seem like your soul purpose within this forum is to hurt and negate people, bring them down and make them feel like shit.

I truly hope you find some happiness, maybe away from here because you currently just show as someone hurting by life.

    Let people care

First of all I'm sorry to hear what you went through and hopr that you feel better soon.

Not at all, I have a different opinion to most on here about the Wrestlemania main event based on what it looks like it will be. I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad, no idea why you are trying to go there, as if you feel that way what about what has been said to me?

Hurting by life? I'm fine by life thank you very much, really happy, young kids flourishing, all that matters and same goes for everyone else on here as well.

People can care, they should care, I don't agree with them, most don't agree with me, all good, such is life.
