IIRC, i think one of the VHS versions and the one on the network differ from the actual event, and it had some bits n bobs cut out, could be wrong though. Or a release could be out that differs, one of the two

A lot of the Silvervision releases had dark matches on whereas those matches are not on the network versions.

Henry Norris is one of the most fascinating stories in football. He and Chapman are arguably the two most important men in our history and in English football. The fact he still pisses off Spurs fans and he's been dead for over 80 years is a fitting tribute.

You can tell yourself that if it pleases you, personally I've never heard of him until you mentioned him.

Arsenal are having some immense luck at the moment for the top 4. Arguably Chelsea worst performance last week (yes, it was worse than Brentford) and then United turning up and totally capitulating. Next they have West Ham who will have NO centre backs playing. Unreal luck at this point of the season.

There are certain, otherwise very good, posters on here who aren't interested in if AEW is actually any good but seem to take umbrage at it's existence.

Most people are enjoying the Punk run. Some people want to talk about Tony Khan's jacket. It's a milder form of the internet, but it's still the internet.

There are certain posters on here who are super sensitive to any negative discussion about AEW.

    Calling @LaGoosh and @Hannibal Scorch

  4. Technically, it's post show, but now it's out there for everyone to see. I just think that cursing someone is really really stupid. You'd just curse everyone wouldn't you?

If I'd seen the Undertaker trying to do a spinaroonie my reaction would be that's fucking stupid too.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, it is entertainment after all.

I think how he treats his talent and office staff is probably his biggest plus point. He seems like a good guy with them and actually gives a shit.

He also is living out his teenage fantasy and seems genuinely excited by his product, unlike the other promotion

And on that, I like that it must piss Vince off that this fucking kid cannot be bought or intimidated by him as his Dad has more money than sense. This aint TNA getting in every ex WWE talent that was released, the bloke nicked Daniel Bryan and Mox off of him.

I'm feeling a bit moany today, a lot of what you've said there is hyperbole.

How do you know how Vince treats his office staff? He must also treat his talent so bad most of them hang around forever, in fact the only ones that really seem to be moaning after jumping ship are the indy darlings who think they deserve more (see Keith Lee, Adam Cole etc.). In fact from the outside, I'd say he treats employees and ex-employees pretty damn well with regards to rehab and stuff like that, particularly when people are directly employed by his company, he's under no obligation to help self-employed people overcome their demons.

As for Vince being pissed off, whilst he's going to be aware of AEW, he's also aware that his business is doing the best business it's EVER done. I wouldn't assume he'll be too worried, this difference in brand values is phenomenal and unlikely to change anytime soon.

As for nicked Daniel Bryan and Mox, if you mean they didn't renew their contracts and wanted to try something different then fair enough.

  6. I don't know if it's just me, but that video is really crap. I know Mox hated being in WWE, but he can't think that THAT is better? From the weird voice, to the stupid cursing. I mean if he could curse anyone and everyone, surely he'd just curse Adam Page and win the belt. Then the fans are chanting this is awesome? Come on, what's awesome about Regal selling some strange curse? It's not 1992 anymore.

Fuck me watching raw even recorded is a absolute slug too say the least.

In the space of the last segment which was Kevin owens vs Seth rollins they had 4 ad breaks......2 of which came from KO coming out to Seth coming out. They literally went to break came back showed a promo then went back to ad.

Now it's frustrating watching it at home I can't fucking imagine how annoying it is for the guys in the ring and the fans in the building that have paid to be there

    Those damn slugs!

Surely in the building they’d be doing something, they wouldn’t just be standing there would they?

  8. How you lot wish you could all be HOOK, I wish I was Razor Ramon. A genuinely handsome son of a gun with a great look who looked like he would beat the shit out of you while wearing pink or yellow pants (always matched with elbow/knee pads and boots). I’m sure he lived an absolutely amazing life, sure he was a cock at points but isn’t everyone? I absolutely loved everything about 1993 involving him, form the excellent Royal Rumble match with Bret to losing to the kid, making up with and protecting the kid to winning the IC title. Glorious. RIP Razor.

  9. I was very shocked when Keith mentioned the Azov battalion, and even more shocked when I learned they are a funded part of that countries National Guard. Surely this doesn't happen in other countries?

I already covered that. Hit state-owned entities in the pocket with financial sanctions. Hit the oligarchs who have benefited from Putin's rule and who cosy up to him with sanctions, hit the Russian government officials who have swanky apartments in London with financial sanctions.

As Keith said, Putin gives not a single fuck about Oleg the hard-working father of three who's savings have been decimated and who has been cut off from the global financial system.

What he cares about are the state-owned cash cow entities and his rich friends who help keep him in power.

Hit those types, not the average Russian citizen.

We did that and it achieved absolutely nothing.

  11. 1 hour ago, David said:

That may be so, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. We are quite rightly showing solidarity with the people of Ukraine, but it's worth remembering that the ordinary people of Russia aren't exactly cruising through this situation unaffected.

The only difference is that much of their suffering and issues are avoidable, and are being caused by governments like ours.

Nearly 150 million Russian citizens have watched their savings evaporate as the ruble is in free fall, and many of the sanctions are actually cutting the average Russian citizen off from the global financial system.

There's absolutely zero need for that, and while the various world powers could, if they wanted to, approach this situation in a measured manner they've instead decided to use a sledge hammer to do the job.

There's absolutely no way I'd ever look to support or explain those kinds of actions away. Especially when it's governments like ours who are playing a part in these decisions being made.

I saw it said elsewhere that while Russia are waging war on Ukraine, the rest of the world is waging an economic war on regular Russian citizens.

Maybe some of the 150 million Russian's can start doing something about their lunatic leader. It's not nice, but it's better than NATO stepping foot in that country and setting off WW3 which will include nuclear weapons being fired at other parts of mainland Europe and then subsequently millions of Russians being wiped off the face of the Earth.

I'm interested in what you think would have been a measured response? I guess NATO could say that they're not going to have Ukraine as a member but that is not going to settle Putin down. We can only hit them in the pocket, I guess a measured response would've been to do something 8 years ago when they annexed Crimea but we're past that point now.

  12. I don't really see how this ends without Ukraine having to surrender. It's an incredibly sad situation to see residents being given guns in Kiev to protect the city, in fact the speed that all of this has happened is frightening. Ukraine is not a small country and Russia has nearly overwhelmed it in a little over 24 hours.

There seems little point sending guns/defences to Ukraine now as it will just end up in the hands of the Russians. There's not a chance that civilians, irrespective of how many there are, will defeat an organised and well supplied army. It might have worked previously but technology now means that wars can be fought all of the time and can destroy and terrorise civilians very easily.

If there is no troop involvement from other countries, which seems to be the case, I can't see anything other than a ceasefire where Ukraine will have to accept the loss of the 2 regions Putin has recognised and they'll also probably have to sign something saying they won't join NATO. I guess the only option is a continuing war where hundreds of thousands will die, but as I say due to the David vs Goliath nature of it, there will be no David defeating Goliath, probably won't even be able to lay a hand on him.

Proper football at Elland Road. Sliding tackles, blood spilled, comical defending, poor playing conditions, fans behaving like utter cunts.

It was a great game however the head injury was quite shocking to watch. Most people think that head injuries in football really need to be looked at. It's happening fairly often now when a player has a fairly big bang to the head, they carry on, only to go down 5-10 minutes later looking absolutely ruined. It's very sad to watch, considering what we do know about head and brain injuries. I don't know whether there needs to be something about proper concussion protocol? The NFL and rugby do something similar don't they?

  14. I thought Seth shithousing Roman was funny, I hadn't watched any of the build up outside of little clips on Twitter, so it would have been strange IMO for Seth to now be normal again. I thought it was well done, he's winding Roman up but he's still a heel. I'm not sure they were trying to get any sympathy from the post match beatdown, the point was to boo Roman more which I think they achieved. The ending of the Lesnar/Lashley match was abysmal. The referee mist have been watching it on a monitor backstage and if it was a face doing that to a heel the referee would've come down and thrown the result out. I don't have a problem with that referee making the count, he could've come out to help his mate and all the shenanigans could have happened while he was out there and he was unaware.

The womens rumble was dreadful. Ronda was shocking, so wooden, and her strikes were barely believable. Bianca, Charlotte and Rhea looked more like stars than everyone else in that match combined including Sasha. I guess the poor booking will come back and restrain Bianca and Rhia. The continual cuts to random people in the crowd when the buzzer hit was strange.

I thought the mens match was laughable. It's so sad to see what they have done to Big E, the guy could be money but was tossed out here with absolutely no fanfare whatsoever, I mean he was the Champion at the start of the year FFS. Good to see Drew got a decent reaction, I thought his stuff with Corbin and Moss was well done and was probably the only part of the match that made sense. Corbin and Moss working well together, guy they screwed comes back and dumps them out. Easy. Saying that though why did Moss eliminate AJ? He was made to look like an absolute clown. As others have said everything outside of Reigns/Lesnar is so cold. Who is Vince even writing for these days? Nobody's expecting classic matches, we just want some stories that make sense!

    I don't quite understand this?

The thing they’re changing is saying someone can restrict the types and wages of jobs to 4 weeks. This is already a thing and is set to 13 weeks (the first 13 weeks of the claim). So if in 3 months you haven’t found what you have restricted your job search on then you have to extend it. At the moment that is a work coach discretion, taking into account personal circumstances, whereas this now seems to be do literally any job.

As someone that works with long term unemployed people, often at a very low point in their lives, this announcement has made me fucking livid.

The scheme I work for, which is DWP funded, is all based around a personalised 12 month programme to find sustainable employment; the right job, not just any old job, and this might undo all the hard work.

We're just in the midst of clarifying whether our referrals are protected from this latest bullshit, but I am fucking fuming.

    Cunts.

It’s utter shite! Im sure this will all be backed up with a sanction policy too. I don’t know what programme you work for but I’m not sure how many people you will get who will have the 13 week permitted period anyway as a permitted period of any length is only at the start of a claim so technically after 13 weeks people should do any job they’re capable of doing.
