Simon Whitlock will especially be happy. He was constantly moaning about bounce outs. Doesn’t help his darts tear the boards up. Adrian Lewis was also moaning a lot.

Hopefully they do use winmau. The blade 6 is the best board out there now.

It will be interesting when everyone sees the Winmau board getting torn up by players with ridiculous points. I wonder if there will be some sort of rule that you can only use equipment supplied from a specific list of manufacturers. The points that tear up the board are as far as I know not supplied by Winmau, Bulls, Unicorn, Target, Loxley, XQ, Red Dragon, Cosmo, Cuesol. They are usually home made monstrosities.

  2. Some big news coming out of Unicorn.

After this weeks masters Unicorn will no longer be supplying dartboards to the PDC.

No mention yet of who the new supplier will be. I think if it was Target they'd have been shouting it from the rooftops already. I think a lot of people hoping for Winmau. Their boards have been far superior to Unicorn for a long time now. I assume a lot of players will be happy no longer throwing at Unicorn boards judging by the comments during the last Pro Tour last year.

  3. The fight scene between the Droogs and Billys Boys in A Clockwork Orange has an excellent spinebuster from the stage through a table. A few headlocks, a few chair shots, bumps through windows, spears, drop kicks. It's pretty spectacular.

  4. Andy Murray is surely got to be done now? His body is not suitable for high level tennis anymore. He has the heart of a lion so fair play to the bloke, but he deserves a well earned retirement!

I do feel so sorry for Emma Radacanu, the pressure she must play under is crazy for an 18 year old. The press love to big her up, and then the commentators try to be realistic and it comes off as really disingenuous. I see that Emma now has a bad wrist, hopefully it's nothing too serious for her.

EDIT - It might be a blister actually which hopefully won't be too serious.

So Boris has now said 'noone told me it was against the rules...' he bloody stood there and told us what the rules were yet seemingly had no clue of what it all meant! Any remaining credibility is now shattered with comments like that.

I'd agree, but he's constantly saying 'wait for the report'. He's gonna get away scot-free. It's amazing that so many people will forgive what he has done just because he was put in a bad situation. He wanted to be Prime Minister, he has to take the flak that comes with it. He's delivered a half-arsed Brexit, a response to a pandemic that based on deaths is one of the worst in the entire world, continually lied to Parliament, got married to his mistress, reneged on agreements from his half-arsed Brexit, lied to the public (I guess that's what every politician does anyway), refused to fund free school meals during COVID for people that need it, removed the £20 uplift of UC without thinking about (or caring) about the ramifications, tried to increase police powers to stop protests, is happy to see refugees drowning in the channel rather than helping them, fucked thousands of people in Afghanistan leaving them to die/be tortured. The only thing he has delivered is a pretty good vaccine roll out, even then, that's only cause of the massive profits him and his mates may make off of it, and the actual delivery to the public was from our wonderful NHS, emergency services, armed forces and volunteers.

He has absolutely no leadership skills whatsoever, he runs his office like a boys club and has absolutely no compassion for anyone other than himself.

He's a cunt. What's worse it that other cunts will ensure he gets away with it.

Right, I'm off to calm down.

Been doing really well for your reserves as well? Seems odd. Has he been given a chance for the first team at all? Can't be any worse than Bergwijn.

He came on as a sub in a Conference League game, that's it.

Seems utterly barmy to me, he's gone for the same amount as 2 weeks wages for N'Dombele.

Our squad is in a right state at the moment, the only way we are going to be able to rebuild is to sell one/both of Kane and Son, which Conte and Spurs fans are not going to accept. It's not like we haven't spent a lot of money but we have wasted a LOT of money on players the last few years, £30million for Sissoko, £42m for Lo Celso, over £50m for NDombele, £25m for Sessegnon, goodness knows what Gil cost I heard it's cash + Lamela so that will be cash + £10m-£12m, £25m for Royal, £42m for Sanchez, £50m for Romero. At least on the bright side I think Sess, Gil, Royal and Sanchez can be improved with a good coach. Romero looks pretty decent. Lo Celso is probably the most frustrating player we have, how can he get multiple MoM for Argentina, but play so poorly for us. Anyway rant over

Well depends on the format. If it’s still first to 7 or if they go first to 6 for the quarters, then there won’t be a break after 5 as they don’t have a break in the current format until the semis and final anyway. I imagine the semi and final of these mini tournaments will be a first to 10 though. They could do the Champions league of darts format and have 10 legs before a break.

    Good shout.

Were they not having a break after 5 legs at Players Championship finals? I can't remember, but I guess pro tour is played straight through.

Anyway, did you got to Q-School in the end? I marked the first few days. Ben Robb must have either had a terrible draw on Sunday and Monday or played really poorly. He was definitely the best player on my board on Tuesday, beaten by Connor Scutt in the last 32 I believe, which is a shame as he threw some phenomenal stuff.

Was not surprised Connor Scutt got through, he won his first game on the Sunday comfortable before running in to Nick Fulwell, who was consistent all day Sunday (he was a qualifier on the Sunday).

On Monday I marked a Welsh lady called Rhian O'Sullivan who gave Dave Prins a SCARE! Very consistent on her throw, a lot of 60's and tons.

Aside from a few players that must have had £450 to burn the standard wasn't too bad.

What do people make of the new PL format? It looks like it's going to lead to some long nights.

In the old format the max number of legs was 70 legs, this new format will be 77. I guess though when you add in the walk ons and everything it could take longer. Maybe they can catch some time up by playing the games without any break after 5 legs

  9. The more I think about the postponement tomorrow the more I think it is negligence from Arsenal. Let’s say at the start of the week they didn’t know that they’d have 1 COVID, 1 suspension and 3 injuries this week. They also know the rules are 13+1. That would mean even without the injuries they knew that at the start of this week they could only field a max of 18+1 (assuming they are saying they only have 12+1 now). So even without everything they were gonna rock up tomorrow with only 8 subs (assuming only 1 keeper on bench)? They then got rid of an experienced player knowing that they were already short, meaning they’d have turned up tomorrow with 7 subs? Something doesn’t sit right here at all. Bet there’s a full squad out Wednesday.

Start the year as you mean to go on, yeah?

You are a real poisonous person. Because I don’t agree with you or see things from your point of view you make nasty sly comments.

I don’t think anyone signs up to being sat In catering for weeks on end when they are hired to be wrestling talent.

Should’ve elaborated that there was always a chance that what’s happened to her could’ve happened to her. If she thought it was never a possibility then she’s very naive.

Well, opened the Turkey this morning and it was fucking rank, stunk the house out.  Had to run to Tesco to grab another.  Thankfully, they had loads of nice ones left.  In the oven now, and will be rattling over to Aldi on Monday with my receipt.

Saw this on Twitter and thought of you

I reckon she'll be in the Premier League and has the capability to qualify for a tour card via Q school - but as its already been pointed out, she's not that great at floor events which basically what Q school is.

I think she deserves a place in the Premier League. Her marketability is undeniable. If it gets more people playing darts than otherwise would that's a very good thing. Our leagues around here are losing teams and players all over the place. Our local Superleague is now a massive joke too, players throwing 18 averages winning games, not just the odd leg. There must be some really decent players out there who could really improve local leagues and by association the players involved.

  13. This is what they did last year. Boris was adamant there'd be no lockdowns and then springs it on people late in the day. They haven't learned from last year at all. Piss poor communication, especially when they don't know what the future will hold.

  14. You won't find this surprising given my movie tastes, but I love musicals. I'm willing to forgive the shit acting when I'm tapping my foot along and signing to the songs (only at home obviously).

The Greatest Showman is possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen but the songs are absolutely amazing, and the visuals in my opinion are quite something. I'm not sure the story of Barnum being someone that helped others is so good, it covers it a bit in the film that he was a businessman but he still cared for the performers. I'm sure in real life he was a bit of a bastard.

Jersey Boys is obviously excellent though, every song is an absolute banger. It does move ahead about a decade right at the end which was a bit strange. And Grease is insane too. It's happy.

  15. Us Harlow boys are made different Jonnyboy. I had the Moderna yesterday and was undecided about whether to get a McD's or a KFC. Couldn't be bothered to get out the car so went for Maccy's. It was horrid, the chicken in the wrap was strange, couldn't bite through it. Wish I'd gone for the double zinger now.

  16. JC Thunder beating Simmons for me. Maybe cause I was invested in the storyline of JC never quite getting the job done, he may have in fact been on some massive losing streak when Simmons and his goons started picking on him. Everytime it looked like JC was getting the upper hand the bad guys would constantly interfere and he’d always fall short. I think he won the IPW version of the Royal Rumble and when he eventually beat Simmons the roof of the Orpington Halls almost came off. I’m sure @Big Benny HG can do it more justice than I can.
