Early days, I know, but Bianca has got to be their Developmental System’s greatest success story, surely? Or at least in the conversation. Literally came in with no wrestling experience and went straight to the top.
Was this also the first time since Brock Lesnar that someone debuted and then headlined Wrestlemania within a year? I can’t remember the last time it happened but could be wrong.
EDIT: This is also the absolute best. There isn’t a more likeable couple in pro-wrestling than Montez and Bianca. If there’s any justice in the world there’ll both be World Champions this time next year.
Â
I don’t want to be nit picky but she debuted in the ‘main’ WWE more than a year ago, she was on the main show at Survivor Series 19 and Royal Rumble 20. She is a phenomenal athlete and has taken to wrestling so naturally, I bet she’s one of those annoying people that are just exceptional at anything sporting Â
Also I’d argue that Charlotte could be the biggest WWE developmental success. Obviously she would have had a closeness to wrestling but it does appear that she didn’t start it until she signed with the WWE. She won the divas title within months of coming in and headlined WM eventually Â
On a side note about the women’s division it was so weird having that turmoil match when only 3 possibly 4 (Naomi, Ruby, Natalya and maybe Liv) out of the 8 in the match can actually wrestle. Then they don’t have Charlotte, Bayley, Nikki Cross, Sonya Deville on the shows at all. Lacey and Becky on maternity and Alexa booked in a different programme altogether. Kairi left for her own reasons and obviously the other 4 women booked in the title matches. That turmoil match just seemed really really strange all things considered, they should’ve just set up the tag team title match on Smackdown.Â

So it's still not started yet then?Â
Started about 1:30 in the endÂ
That tag team match must go down as one of the worst matches in mania history? Slips on the entrance, nipples popping out, the announcer getting it all wrong. Proper clusterfuck.Â

Now all I want from life is there to be a man in a change cubicle just off camera that has to come with the keys.Â
A bit like a rip off version of the man that sits in the ATM giving money out all day?Â

That he was an old racist and everything he said was just kinda laughed off a thing and not actually looked and maybe something done about it. Fuck him, he made no effort to learn and looked down upon the working classes with absolute contempt. Horrible man if my opinion which means nothing really in the grand scheme.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story eh?

Had anyone had any luck with joining Peacock?  I’ve joined, but can’t pay for premium.
Why not just get the UK version? The peacock one sounds like a really poor user experience and apparently doesn’t have much of the catalogue yet.Â

Hogan's win at Mania 9 obviously wasn't done on the fly. The Raw episode that aired the night after was taped 2 weeks prior and at the start Vince was standing infront of the camera talking about Hogan being crowned the new champion. I guess most people in the Manhattan Center found out what was going to happen at Mania 9 in advance too.
That isn't what happened, it was mentioned in commentary but that can be added anytime I guess.

A quick check on Ticketmaster shows that they've pretty much sold out. Unless WWE are using multiple vendors.
I'm genuinely surprised that in the current climate people are snapping up the opportunity for what on the face of it is a very lacklustre looking Mania. One that will also not have the support events around it. Does that area of the country have much in the way of attractions to draw people in for a bit more than just Wrestlemania?Â
I don’t think it’s surprising at all. People haven’t been able to go out for over a year. If someone said to me you can buy a ticket to a Spurs for £150 but Kane and Son won’t play and Dier and Winks will play up front, and you’re playing Leyton Orient youth team I’d be all over it in a heartbeat.Â

That's really sad. He was a big character and although he had made some silly comments on AFTV he was above all a passionate Arsenal fan. Some of the comments on Twitter about his mental health are fucking disgusting. What is wrong with people?
RIP Claude.

Hereford are going to Wembley!
Looks like there may be some fan involvement as well as it's happening towards the end of May and probably would be a trial run for the Euros.
Buzzing, we've started to really turn a corner as a team and I've high hopes for next season of getting out of the bloody League North.
You’ve got giant killers Hornchurch who’ve only played something like 5 games in the last 5 months and they’ve all been in the Trophy. Mark Stimson, their manager, has been around the block, and I think he’s won the FA trophy before. Crazy to think no National League side got through, including the UKFF’s 2 least favourite teams.Â

That Bushwackers/Beverleys match was great just for Bobby Heenan slagging off Jamison and the Bushwackers the entire time. Also when the Genius slapped Jamison I still laugh at that. ‘He hitted me, he hitted me real hard’ ‘he didn’t hit you hard enough you’re still breathing’ 😂

Did he throw the belt at Jim Cornette there?
Yeah, in the 'They had what planned' thread, there is a fuller video about it. He came out and took it off of Cornette and then Vince was like, hey let's pretend you're the champ and get announced as the champ.

orton and bliss was awful but I bet Randy didn’t mind with the way Alexa pinned him
Panty sniffer,
Seriously the amount of comments on Alexa's instagram saying stuff like 'lucky Randy', 'ooh I'd love if she pinned me like that' etc. Weirdos.

You mean us getting knocked out by Villareal in the semis in the Emery derby. That is the proper Arsenal thing to do.Â
Hopefully Foyth or Capoue scores the winner too

Thought Tanganga and Rodon played really well yesterday. It wasn't pretty by any means but I guess a win's a win.
The West Ham vs Arsenal game was very decent. Arsenal were non-existent for 35 minutes but then all of a sudden where a joy to watch (as much of a joy as it can be). West Ham were awesome too, nice to see two teams giving it their all and just going for it.
I hate to say it but Odegaard looks like a right player, I was very dismissive when he arrived from Real, especially when they haven't really used him, but he is great. He gets stuck in, he is a very clever player, he is skilful but still does the easy things and is not afraid to have a crack. Hopefully Arsenal don't sign him permanently, if they do I don't think it's even a joke to make him captain depending on what happens with Auba. Him and Partey as a central midfield partnership is something to get excited about for sure (although I'll hold my excitement  ). Them two centre mid with Saka on the left and (a fully firing) Pepe on the right, with a combination of Martinelli, Auba and Lacazette up top. Wowzers

Barney collapsed after marking De Zwaan vs Lerchbacher. Two ambulances are on site and nobody knows that's going on.Â
Hope he’s okay. I know he’s had problems with diabetes which was one of the reasons he wanted to retire as it was taking its toll.Â
He's never liked marking!
Nah in all seriousness he is out of the venue and being monitored so fingers crossed it is his diabetes and not something more serious. It can get really hot marking under the lights (spotlights shining on the board)Â and also if his diabetes hasn't been strictly managed it could prove a problem for sure. Fingers crossed he'll be ok.Â
The collapsing when marking happened to a young guy in our darts league. We played a best of 7 tournament and he lost and then marked straight away. He was marking but all of sudden just stared forward and then collapsed. Proper scary and the paramedics had to come out. Thankfully he was ok although did get taken to hospital but released the next day.

Lesnar absolutely destroying Cena at Summerslam one year sticks with me (not that much as I cant remember the year). The absolute brutality of suplex after suplex was amazing, especially as it happened to John Cena.

Absolutely right there Bacon,Â
Thing with Poch is he never really got a good run with LoCelso and NDombele. They were both players he wanted but both took absolutely ages to get up to speed. I guess there always comes a time where change is needed. However, what we have with Mourinho now is shocking. As Bacon said we have some absolutely top drawer players in Kane, Son, Reguillon, Lloris, Aldeweireld, possibly Hjojberg. We also have some players who when they apply themselves can be game changers in Bale, Bergwijn (who's not even getting on the bench), NDombele, Lo Celso and Lucas. But we have an awful lot of players who are not very good (for a club like Spurs), some do try hard like Lamela, Sissoko, Sanchez and Davies but they're just not match winners, or even game changers.
We've then got this weird core of players who excelled under Poch - Dier, Dele and Winks. These three have been so poor for a long time. I think Winks and Dele no longer care, and Dier seems to care too much and ends up in stupid running battles rather than concentrating on his job.
The less said about Doherty and Aurier the better. Imagine going from Walker and Trippier to Doherty and Aurier 😰. We do have a couple of youngsters who have showed promise in Tanganga and Rodon (although since he made a mistake he's be dumped), also Skipp going well at Norwich.
The main thing that annoyed me last night was the fact that on the pitch at the same time we had Lloris (World Cup winning captain), Harry Kane (England captain), Gareth Bale (Wales captain), Serge Aurier (ivory Coast captain), Eric Dier (multiple time England captain) and not one of the them took control on the pitch.Â

Can you translate that tweet into English for me please?! Does that mean he’s guaranteed £250k whatever happens?
Yeah thats the way I've read it, if Envoi wins he gets £322,000 if it doesnt then he gets £250,000. Seems quite generous from the bookies, but fair play to him.
Â
EDIT - actually maybe not overly generous as I guess if Envoi won they would be down half a million and with Envoi being such a strong favourite they're probably trying to manage the damage
A thread in which for Arsenal and Spurs fans to have sexual tension and poor banter 20/21.

PLEASE STOP!
Hopefully not United, we've sold Berbatov, Sheringham and Carrick to them. If he has to go in England I'd rather him go Man City. Levy will try to price everyone out of a move this summer, and I don't think Kane seems the sort of bloke that will strop around if he has to stay, I'm sure he'll continue to give 100%.Â
Yesterday really highlighted how shockingly poor our recruitment has been over the last few years, it was bad enough that Sissoko was our first sub, but it's more mental that he's still an option. He used to be a decent option as a workhorse when he starts games and is playing consistently, but if he doesn't play he just can't seem to come in and have any sort of positive impact on the game.Â
I never thought I'd be on the Jose out bandwagon, but with the prospect of Kane leaving and Spurs getting Fellaini could it really be anymore depressing?Â
