You’re correct, you haven’t said Keith Lee should be fired. You did comment about a strangers weight, apperance and ability though (all I think based on one gif because he doesn’t really use the Pounce as a move).

So bravo, you didn’t specifically say someone should be fired. You did however say the above.

What? I said I don’t find anything remotely entertaining about Keith Lee, obviously I’m on my own on that but you guys love him so surely if he gets snapped up by AEW he’ll be able to elevate himself, and will be supported by management, as others have done very successfully.

  2. I shouldn’t comment but……

There is a lot of hypocrisy on this board. A lot of people mention that it is shite when anyone loses their job which is absolutely true. However, in this very thread people are happy for Dolph Ziggler to lose his job, on the board in general people are happy for Nia Jax and Charlotte among others to lose their jobs. I might be full of shit but I’ve never come on here and say X wrestler should be out of a job. I guess Vince has decided the people released this time around are not gonna change business for WWE, regardless of what we think, so are essentially expensive card fillers and if anything judging by the reaction it might be better for Keith Lee to go somewhere where he will be elevated.

So if your employer offered you a job, which meant you had to move to another part of the country and then decided a year later we don't want you anymore, that's life, don't whine about it would be your own response?

That's the way the cookie crumbles. If I was a self-employed contractor you have to take the rough with the smooth. I had a look who that Jordynne Grace is, I guess she could feel hard done by after ROH just released everyone. It was for business reasons, same as why the WWE are 'apparently' quoting.

That twitter post is so whiny. It's life, get on with it. It's not fucked up at all, you wanted to go for the job and unfortunately it hasn't worked out. Is it shit, yes, is it fucked up though?

How does a lack of alternative promotions to hire them justify WWE letting them go? And when did I say they were unremarkable? My point was that you have a huge influx of talent leaving WWE but sadly not many options for them. A good portion of these guys definitely aren't unremarkable. Some of them are really great talents but with no where to go. There's only so many available jobs in wrestling that pay a liveable salary afterall.

The direction and vision is to make as much money as possible for the shareholders in any way possible as quick as possible. They seemingly don't care in the slightest about anything else.

Perhaps they might need to be considering another career? There are plenty of people, for example that couldn't make it as actors so they have other jobs on the side until they get their break or they have to get a full time job while pursuing their chosen career. Again it is shit, but it's the real world. The company shouldn't keep them on just because they can afford to, it's mental to suggest that the WWE is anything other than just about making as much money as possible. If you ran a company and you had no work would you keep people on the books, or would you and your shareholders pocket the savings?

They are just utterly rudderless and toxic as a company. They seem to have no direction or vision.

None of these current names are surprising. It was the likes of Alister Black, Pac, Revival, Andrade, Bray Wyatt, Buddy Murphy that highlighted the problems in the WWE. How the hell can you fail to make stars out of some of these guys.

You just have to look at the ideas they've had for Keith Lee, Karrion Kross and Adam Cole in recent months to realise how lost this company is.

Didn't Pac walk out cause he realised he was being misused?

I just wonder whether Vince now doesn't actually care about what he puts out, as long as he puts something out. I saw a tweet earlier and it was basically they need a few top starts, with about 20 in the midcard and then bring back Brock, Edge, Goldberg every now and again to keep people happy. They don't need/want to keep more expensive wrestlers like Keith Lee or Karrion Kross when they can just go and get any fanboy wrestler who won't understand their worth and who are just happy to be there. They don't need to have a good product or good TV with a view to increase PPV buys as they've already got the money in the bank.

I'm not sure where to start with some of the stupid stuff in here. But suffice to say, he's not just some obese guy, he's huge guy with great agility (which is why he stood out in the first place) who can move and throw himself around with the best of them. He does look hard as nails, sorry, that's a nonsense.

The fact that he's black is also very important. Sure, some gammon will cry positive discrimination, or whatever, but black wrestlers are under-represented so when you have one who has a talent for it, has great support from the fanbase and is a likeable guy, then you have a diamond on your hands.

In fairness, as Houchen mentioned, the vaccination stuff makes sense, so if he's on that list, that's a different argument but don't downplay the guy's talent.

I've never seen him do anything agile at all. He is a physical mess, I know there was a problem with his heart so thank goodness they were found. I'm not buying in to the underrepresented stuff though. If he is good enough his race makes no issue. The problem is he isn't good enough. He's no Big E, he's no Roman Reigns, he's no Randy Orton, he's no AJ Styles, all I've ever seen him do is throw Adam Cole around. It's great that some people have seen him be agile in the indies, but not everyone watches the indies. To me he's just a fat bloke playing a hard man

  6. I don't get the Keith Lee love, he is basically a black version of me. Morbidly obese with a huge gut, looks tired constantly and looks like he could drop down of a heart attack at any time. I don't wear spandex but I'm sure I'd look as stupid as he does in it. He doesn't look like he could beat you up, or intimidating in the slightest, any decent fighter would just dance around him and stay away from his stupid pounce thing.

I saw the name 'Wyatt' mentioned on Twitter this morning so quickly closed the app so I didn't completely spoil myself.

Watched the whole of Dynamite expecting Bray to show up at the end. My eyes were nearly bulging out of my head at this point...

There has been a Bray Wyatt lookalike at the last 2 (according to Twitter) Dynamites. Last week was funhouse Bray and last night someone was in camera view as Fiend Bray. I guess it's just a fan messing about, but who knows.

Why was Darby Allin wearing a flashers mack?

That closing match/segment was superb. Hangman's facial expression when the mask came off was superb, and it capped off a tremendously fun main event. It just goes to show that obvious isn't always bad and that was perfectly booked from start to finish, except from Hangman obviously not being able to get the costume off over his shoes, but that didn't detract at all. Tremendous stuff.

Was he not dressed as the Invisible Man?

I'm pretty sure they did the same thing with the first draft where the World Heavyweight Champion from Raw ended up going to Smackdown and the WWE champion from Smackdown ended up on Raw? I want to say it was Cena and Batista, but am probably quite wrong.

It’s easier to move the WWE champion and the Universal champion between shows as the belts aren’t named after the show. It seems Becky and Charlotte swapped the belts in the end, maybe we should have womens universal champion and womens wwe champion? Or they just don’t move the champions

  10. Oh yeah, I think it is proper shithousing. Most people, including most business people would let it be, for example you wouldn't expect the CEO of Tesco start tweeting sarcastic comments to some random retail blogger.

It is funny, but also a bit unhinged. He's obviously insecure about his company if he needs to go out and sing it's praises and correct people. He's done no different to what the poster did in choosing which stats he wants to call out. As I say it is funny, but in my opinion it could cause him to lose credibility outside the AEW fanbase if it continues if it goes tits up.

This is your best post ever.

Tony K's pettiness searching Twitter and making posts about how good AEW is reminds me of that bloke in the UK Wrestling Events that couldn't let a comment go and always had to have the last word. I can imagine Tony is a right prick in real life.

As has been said it will be interesting how he behaves when it isn't going to plan, what he does now is fairly funny but if he does it if the shit hits the fan it will become very old very quick.

Both my mum and wife have had their boosters now so that's a nice relief.

I'm still living with the constant stress of 2 of the kids being at school and potentially bringing something back. It's just all starting to feel a bit helpless again.

I'm still working from home and feel pretty 'safe' although that's not how I want to live forever.

Starting to worry the next few months might be pretty bleak. My area is now the highest in the country apparently so that's adding to the stress. I deliberately don't read/watch the news much now as it just all gets a bit much.

I wouldn't worry too much about areas being highest/lowest in the country. It is worrying but most areas will find themselves really high and really low in those 'tables'. As an example Harlow was very low at the start, but spent time at the top and in the top 10 for a couple of weeks. After that it dropped down fairly quickly to be below 200 in the LA table, and since yo-yo's. As for the news, you really only need to know what you need to know, enough to keep yourself and your family safe. My sister was almost on the verge of breakdown in April/May 2020 and I told her to stop watching the news, as long as she could keep her, her boyfriend and the kids safe that's all she needs to know.

I assume there are going to be some areas that are more likely to have increased transmission, especially those bloody students (sarcasm) going out enjoying themselves.

I've been going back to work recently and the lack of mask wearing is quite depressing. It's more annoying when it is a condition of travel, I wonder if I can get away with not buying a ticket? :) . Because it's been such a shit show from our 'leaders' a large majority of the population now do not seem to care a jot.

  13. A bit of a shame for Sky that the 3 'main' matches were all fairly one sided.

I'm not sure on Hughie Fury at all, he seems like he's trying so hard to be like Tyson with his comments and humour, although I guess humour and the like does run in the family. Eubank beat that guy up pretty bad by the end, the body shots looked painful and it appears that he broke the guys ribs, so although he didn't get the showstopping finish it was a pretty decent performance.

Looking forward to Marshall vs Shields. Marshall absolutely battered that poor young lady who had some serious heart to keep eating them. I think Peter Fury had expected Muzeya to start fast as Marshall didn't panic and just got on with it. After the first 30 seconds it was so one sided it was quite hard to watch someone get pummelled.

I don't know if Sky were doing the production, but it was very poor early on. Cutting off in the middle of an interview, it also cut off at another strange time, might have been when the pundits were talking and when it came back the conversation was on something else, although it did get better as the night went on. As a whole Sky's production is really poor at the moment, whoever does it during the golf doesn't even watch the action, the shot (a birdie putt, or par putt, or 2nd shot) is often wrong and they have got players names wrong too. On the first morning of the Ryder cup they had Daniel Berger as Daniel Burger.

  14. One of my biggest peeves with wrestling booking is that when there is a tournament for a title shot or a ‘king of the ring’ that more of the established wrestlers don’t enter it. Surely the goal is to be the champion (and at least getting a shot at it) for the vast majority of the roster.

Anyone who assaults someone unprovoked is usually a cunt. It’s just that the person being assaulted is a bigger cunt and it’s quite funny when horrible pricks experience a tiny percentage of the misfortune they’re happy to heap on to others.

The pearl-clutching about the traffic cone assault is something to behold. All "political violence is never acceptable!" Fuck that. There are many, many people who had very real, very physical harm done to them by the sorts of policies the likes of IDS helps to push.

So, excuse me if I don't cry my eyes out for him.

I don’t want to flame anything here but just over a week ago people on this board thought it was funny Ian Duncan Smith was assaulted. Any assault on a politician should be condemned. I know it’s a big leap from hitting someone with a cone to murdering someone but it can escalate from ‘funny’ to ‘deadly’ pretty quickly.

  16. What is this obsession with ratings. Surely you want people turning up and spending money irrespective of a demographic. Whether it’s 18-34 turning up at AEW or young kids turning up at WWE what is the obsesssion? WWE is and will always be a bigger brand than AEW

Sorry to be this out of the loop but I used to watch the Network on my PS4 but now can’t find it. What’s gone on? And if anybody recommended me best way to watch it if it still exists?

Sony seem to have changed the layout. If you press down when you’re on the tv and video screen it might be in your most recent apps.

    Not any more.

Also, Harlow has loads of decent chippies.

John from Luigis has set up CJ’s near the hospital. It is absolutely amazing. I’ll post a pic next time I get chips from there.
