    I'd rather have Michael Fish.

Would you be tempered by Bobby leading a neighbor's inspired stable with Toad Fish, Stone Fish ,Tad etc?

I saw a "leaked" video of the White Rabbit song being played before anyone is even in the arena with it ending having red lights appear in the empty ring. That seemed pretty fiend like to me. Hopefully we don't just get the same character back we get some new/better adaption and Trips has the sense to use him sparingly on TV rather than thrust him out each and every week for any old purpose.

Sami sole survivor on a team consisting of Jey, Jimmy, Sami and Solo has to happen. This is where you start Sami's run to Wrestlemania. The man should be going over Roman with KO going over the other champ. Magic.

This was my first thought at Clash at the Castle when Solo debuted. Was there much speculation hence the Survivors sell out? Hope it doesn't end up being Raw vs SD in the end too. I assume one male one female match is that plan here.

Feel bad for Trippers though that he can't perform in one as this was about the last thing he wanted on his bucket list I'm guessing.

Use a local small independent car/van hire place. They’re no frills and a lot cheaper than your Enterprises etc. I’ve used a few different ones and always found them more pleasant to deal with.

Interesting I'll see if I can find one in the Bournemouth area. Buying an older car still seems the cheapest route so long as it doesn't conk out in the 30 days I need it for.

  4. Where better to ask a question like this than the UKFF. Probably lots of places but I like it here.

Heading to the UK  for the first time in years in December and it seems car hire companies want to try and get blood out of a stone with the prices. Thinking it's cheaper to look for alternatives such as buying or anything else that won't cost me a £1500. Any tips on where or how to find a cheap hire or purchase in the UK these days?

  5. Its shocking how many first runs were actually pretty piss poor when you think about it. I went back to Kurt Angle's in my head the other day and while his TV antics and some matches were fun his big PPV record at that time sucked balls. He got squashed bar the switcheroo finish by snazzy pants taker at Survivors, he was an absolute sixth wheel in the cell match at Armageddon and then squeezed in a dull as dishwater match against Triple H at the Rumble which was the weakest men's match on the card.

How about Joe's first TNA title reign? After getting to run the red hot MMA style story with Angle he was put in dull or terrible storylines until looking like a whiny baby in his feud with Sting.

Great, haven’t seen that enough times

I'm sure I've got that dvd from 2010 or is it the VHS from 01,00,99,98,97,96?

I'm sure a song by Jefferson Starship or Baltimore cost the same as a Rolling Stones song.

Yeah like I said I'd love to see it but it's not going to happen. Final countdown was above the song budget so Stones is out of the question unless Jagger is an MJF fan

  8. I was hoping they would change MJFs music to Sympathy for the devil after Sunday. Would fit his character and considering it's a Stones song would probably cost a fortune to use which fits with MJF supposedly having Tony Khan by the balls.

It was me that got shifted, in the end up I noticed it was due to a couple of smoke machines right in front of where I was due to sit and because the floor curved down meaning you’d have seen relatively little of the action outside the big screen.

The castle certainly didn’t look as if it was low enough to block anyones view when I was in the stadium.

Interesting! Cheers for the reply. Not having been to any stadium shows big objects Vs fans fascinates me. Still can't quite figure out how that castle was actually positioned

  10. This was the first WWW PPV which I've watched start to finish probably since Wrestlemania 31 (play button) and the first show I've watched since Mania this year.

Overall I enjoyed the show, every match delivered, it didn't feel overly long and it was nice for them not to hammer home with union jacks etc that they were in the UK for once. Apart from being in a stadium it was a 'B' show with only the main event really bending that trend. As some have said I'm more surprised they didn't give Sheamus the win here even if he loses it back to Gunther on Smackdown in a few days. At least then a more local lad would have got a win and by Survivor Series Gunther's loss would have been well and truly forgotten.

The kick after the Theory/ Fury stuff would have been perfect for Drew to win and yes once there was a kick out at that point we knew it wasn't happening. I'm not massively idsappointed as the show was enjoyable overall and the audience generally gave it a unique atmosphere.

A few minor grumblings would be:

    - Graves not referencing that the 'hey Bayley' chant was a UK invention annoyed me but then he's probably forgotten that.

-Karrion Kross came off pretty bad just throwing a bottle at Drew and nothing of note more.

-I'm guessing it wasn't anyone here but if you were the twat shouting AEW at the end of the show audibly you deserve a slap.

It's already a success. The booking is irrelevant. It's taken them this long to do a stadium show here. I'm not aware of any intention to do them regularly going forwards.

And TK has been clear of his intention to run UK shows long before this show was ever a possibility.

There's only one place getting regular stadium shows outside the US for the next few years and it's a lot more sandy than the UK! Massive travel ballache aside they don't seem to have any intention of doing another Aussie one again. Out of interest have they announced any Raw/SD tapings for later this year or is that something being knocked on the head?

AEW won't do a stadium I expect either. They'll keep it conservative for their first show here. I'd expect Wembley in London or even 2 nights with one being even smaller like the Copper Box and maybe another for Rampage (BOTB) elsewhere.

Christ alive this is fucking dire. It has the same Energy of playground arguments over which games console was better. Why on earth have they uploaded this? Who is it for? Mad.

Exactly what I was thinking. How can something like this get to air. It was like the chairman of the drama club had a pissy disagreement with the captain of the football team over who could use gymnasium on a rainy day. Aussie open and the Bucks should have just walked off and left them to it. Everyone in the arena should have.

Why didn't WCW run Canada more? Especially once Nitro had started up and they had a lot of ex-WWF guys that would have been popular and they had a clutch of Canadians on the roster. Looking at cagematch the UK and Germany each had more shows thanks to their tours.

Might get corrected but if I recall right basically domestic business was so hot that they didn't see the need to go overseas much/ if at all during those periods.

Until 98 WWF probably needed the international show money more as a private company struggling and also likely had more contracts / good faith to spread with broadcasters and other companies overseas. Taking the UK as an example I would guess WWF got paid a lot more for prime showings on Sky over WCW being shown on either turner channels, before porn on scrambled German channels or later on Bravo.

That being said I'm applying logic to a company that at times used very little so could just be "I dunno".

Massive buzz kill reading they brought Gargano back but not as the goofball leader of The Way. Acting the tit, snapping Regal’s pencils and trying to get everyone to corpse was the best thing he ever did. I assume this means Candice is heading back to WWE too, which is a shame. She’s exactly the type of talent AEW’s women’s division could use. I really rate her.

On the plus side, I think everyone can agree the best thing for this business is Gargano and Adam Cole being kept as far away from each other as possible.

Gargano coming back is the first one to really set alarms bells off though. All these favourites of Triple H getting released by Vince, doing fuck all, then coming back once Hunter’s in power, it’s almost as if everyone knew what was coming and all they had to do was bide their time. At first it was just something to half joke about, but now more than ever I’m convinced either Triple H was the one who leaked all the shit involving Vince, or he at least knew it was coming.

Tyler Breeze will be the clincher. Has he had a single match since leaving NXT? Any Indy dates? Not even a cameo on AEW Dark? If he comes back in the next few weeks I reckon we can take it as confirmed there was a WhatsApp group called, “Hunter’s Faves,” where they were all told to sit at home playing video games and it was only a matter of time before Pappa Trips got the power and brought them all back.

I'm convinced they all knew it was coming for a while to be honest. Now even Vince taking that stunner at mania and having his mini match seem like something he crammed in before he knew he wouldn't be welcome. A mock up of that WhatsApp group could be quite funny with things like "Adam Cole left the group" if anyone has time to make it

The whole match is up on YouTube but I was disappointed to see that Blobby was only the referee and not contending for the title.

I don't know why but I keep hearing your post like a read out on points of view from a disappointed viewer before Wogan cuts to something completely different without any further comment.

    CM's had his moments.

But yeah, largely agreed otherwise. Also reminds me of that exhausting "I'm all about staying loyal to my friends and Vans" whiney American spin on the culture.

Those shoes where the bottom splits off the second you go up on your tip toes? Fuck off being loyal to them!

I know it makes a blind bit of difference to most people's interest of TV ratings but if they split Rampage off I'd love to see it filmed in sampler venues with a bit of character, different set etc.

I don't think there's anyone in the NXT UK releases that's going to upset the apple cart in terms of pay, and so long as promoters don't try and bring them all in at once, it's not going to throw off the pecking order anywhere.

The problem is that NXT UK is such a non-entity that nobody is leaving it with more name value or momentum than they went in with. Mark Andrews Tweeted a list of tag teams that him and Flash would like to work with, and it honestly reads as just as delusional as if a no-name indie guy put it out there - these guys are coming back to a world (and not just in the UK) that has moved on without them, and doesn't really have a place for them any more.

There are some that will do well - Millie McKenzie has the world laid out for her, Nina Samuels has been keeping her oar in, attending and mucking in at indie shows and training schools to a far greater extent than anyone else that I know of in NXT UK, so she will be coming with a lot of goodwill that I don't know the rest of the crew will have.

For some of them, there just isn't the old scene there any more - the Midlands and Welsh scenes aren't what they were, to say the least. Assuming they all stay in wrestling, and all stay in the UK, it's honestly tough to figure out where some of these wrestlers fit today.

A few can rely on the sale of foam hands and backstage passes I'm sure. All jokes aside All Star and the like (assuming they still go strong) will lap up using someone who doesn't need visas that they can slap a WWE logo on the poster with. A whole NXT:UK "outrage" tour will surely appear at some point

  18. Out of interest what's the best way to play all these wonderful games again? Are there any emulation handhelds that run PS1 games well? I did have it all set up on an old laptop but I don't get much time with the littleun to set it up these days.

One that would do up to PS2 level would be perfect for me and an ideal Christmas pressie to press gang the wife into buying.

  19. Currently working/saving up to visit the UK for the first time in almost 4 years. Not down to choice as i've been locked inside Vietnam since 2020, the only opened borders in March this year for foreigners u less you had loads of paperwork which was a ballache not to mention 2-3 weeks quarantine. My wife gave birth to our first (and probably last) child last November so we've been waiting on his British passport. Few visa things to tie up but if all stays the path I get to have the holiday I've most looked forward to in my life and it's sleeping in my childhood bedroom!

Dropped them a message anyway. I just can’t understand why relocate me two tiers up when there’s seats in the very same section. Common sense and large companies just don’t seem to mix.

I've had seats further up at arenas which cost more because the were on the side which I guess is meant to mean a better view but then had a much cheaper ticket almost on the floor but couldn't see the screen. I'm not sure how they assign value but I guess the assume this is a like for like trade as they're going to put giant dragon style pillars in or something.

I would enquire about this though as it doesn't seem like an equal trade to be up in the gunnels instead of the floor. It might've been a computer based decision using price algorithms and by speaking to someone you get a preferred seat.

  21. Honestly.surprised they let it go so long after covid. Probably would've been done a while ago without.

Is it that the UK scene is rotten? The wrestlers don't have enough potential or simply that HBK and co didn't fancy London in the winter so looking for a performance center somewhere on the med?

One glimmer of hope for NXT Europe has to be them bringing back the most prestigious and best looking belt of all time?
