I'm not sure if Triple H is trying to re WCW/WWF up the brands which would mean the US title would fit on Raw or Re 2002 everything so it's more likely it stays on Smackdown.

I was going to be a dickhead and point out that with the time difference Cody’s promo made no sense. For him to acknowledge AJ’s win it would mean he was still at the o2 arena, still in his gear, at something mad like half one in the morning. Except it’s Cody, so it wouldn’t be surprising at all for him to stay at a show hours after it finishes to give every single person a photo and autograph. The man is the best.

Luckily this year they've only got two weeks to fill to build it up. A quick promo from each of them and a face to face should do nicely. Few winks and nods to Bullet Club a mention or two of Dusty and TNA and you're good to go. Great thing about AJ at this point is he can take the loss and the match will probably be pretty good so it's not quite the same as a Kane based affair from long ago. 

To be fair to Cody still being at the O2 it can be a right bugger getting the tube after a big show so he was probably hanging around until things quieten down.

Vegas is a bit different for tickets unless you're a top drawer like a huge celeb singer, UFC, WWE etc. A lot of it will rely on old tactics like papering the town in the hope visitors take a fancy to your show and come along or book late on as something to do. I'd also expect that figure to go up a bit for tonight and 1000 seems reasonable. 

Am I right in thinking if he sells all his shares he closes the door on being able to come back unless the company has a real change of heart and let's him in? He wouldn't have the leverage to push his way back through the door. 

I've been thinking about this for a while as there's so many tangents to go off on. I certainly think a company would have gone national in the 80s but not to the level of the WWF if Vince wasn't around. 

Some things like Rock n Wrestling would have happend but on a smaller scale and probably more focussed on a Southern Style with Rock and Country artists over people like Lauper. 

We might have had edgier products on TV earlier or later depending on who pushed forward too so a definitive attitude era might not have happened. 

I think there would have likely been a few promotions on cable for longer with less of a market leader but collectively all having a smaller fan base than WWF had. Vince had that crucial balance between Carney wrestling promoter and business man with big ideas in balance. Other promoters were way too into what he would call the wrasslin way of doing things while a TV company taking a corporate approach would have been too far the other way. 

We wouldn't have ever had so many wacky gimmicks for sure. Another thing is would we have got a more pure style of wrestling on TV with less 4-5 minutes matches especially as it became in the late 90s.

He was sat next to two really small kids who hadn’t been seated with their family, but there he was on a plane, vaping away like it was totally fine.

As we’d already taken off and the seatbelt sign was on, staff didn’t spot him until about 15 minutes into the flight when they basically told him they would turn back, land and evict him from the flight. It didn’t stop him though, he grabbed more than a few cheeky puffs throughout the flight and was really on it during landing.

I might sound like a grumpy sod, but it’s something I despise generally and it’s the kind of stupidity I never thought I’d ever actually see. People in general being cunts like that boil my piss something chronic.

That's absolutely piss poor behavior all of it. Completely shocked people can be that selfish to their wife, kids and people around them without a single bit of thought on how their actions/ lack of action affects others around them. 

Can't say I'm massively interested in AEW or the card at the moment. Only matches of interest are the world title to see if they go all the way with Swerve. As much as I like Joe I think they need to have Swerve go over to establish a new guy. The other is Okada PAC that peaks my interest.

I don't know if I'm getting senile with age but I love this. I can see all the awful social media posts throwing rumors and bollocks up about that's why Austin didn't appear etc as he is getting ready for a hell in a cell inferno death match at Wrestlemania against the rock. 

Iwith Educator being trademarked I'm praying he isn't coming back to Vietnam to teach English. There's only one twat allowed to go on about living here in the world of wrestling. 

Didn't manage to really watch the first half of tonight as I woke up late, had the school run etc. The triple threat and women's match were both entertaining affairs that I enjoyed. Does Bayley have Egyptian heritage? I was perplexed by her entrance a bit otherwise.

The main even was the happy ending I've been longing for in WWE for years now. A proper blue eyed babyface overcoming the odds in an all encompassing main event. This felt like proper magic. I'm really glad they let Roman come out without the Bloodline and they got to have a good match before the clusterfuck came into play. Cena was a wonderful surprise, Rollins being nothing but a whipping boy was wonderful to see and Taker's surprise was pleasant although I'd have preferred it to be Austin. Post match was heart warming with everyone seeming genuinely pleased for Cody. Who would have thought 3 years ago you would have Triple H and CM Punk in the ring after Cody Rhodes wins the WWE title. It really shows when they do something well they can still knock it out the park compared to all the guff we've put up with over the last 10 years with Reigns/ Lesnar and other crap.

The thing with Cena for me was, past all the walking merch shilling, by 2008 it all got a bit samey and he didn't noticably adaot his character in anyway. I know he had the "rise above hate" thing and coming through adversity was really what his character was about but considering he went through being part of the Nexus, CM Punk having his number, The Rock, Brock (especially the 2014 squash) and even as late as 2018 when he got mugged off by Taker, there hasn't been a shed of a visible battle scar to change his character. 

Thanks for the info everyone. I don't think I really need much help from the airline unless they have a soundproof box for him or me to enter alone as it's only during the take off/ landing bit when he has to sit still that I'm worried.

I'll give the meals a look as I want to get my mum to stock the fridge a bit so he has something to eat for a few days until I can go shopping. 

What does everyone reckon about the Austin Theory & Grayson Waller gym video thing with Joey Swoll? Seems like it was in gimmick video. I'm not sure Joey Swoll knows that or even if he does it will lead anywhere on Mania or after though. Only thing that makes me think isbthebrunor they're being pulled from the tag titles match which could be so they can have a 5 mins segment. Could be with Sheamus (gym owner and good following for his videos) or Cena.

That would be fantastic (Warwick castle not the SkyDome) get Michael Cole in full armour.

I need some advice and I trust UKFF parents above most! I'll be heading back to the UK for a couple of weeks in July (PM if you need filling in on where I've been) and two areas need advice as my 2 1/2 year old will be coming. 

First, how do you keep the little sods in their seat on flights for the bits they have to be seated and belted? Any tips welcomed. 

Second, while we love to cook for him at home and do loads of meal prep, my mother is a clean freak and still looks at me as the fat, greasy teenager who used to destroy her kitchen. So to avoid unnecessary friction between my wife and mother over who gets to treat me like dirt I'm looking for recommendations on tasty microwaveable/frozen foods to give my son. Do they do a toddler chippy tea ready meals in Tesco?

I've got another one where I caused but didn't feel the need for the earth to swallow me up. Circa 1990, we were going through the process of adopting my brother The final part of the process required a judge to sign off that the child's happy with a normal happy family. So were all off to the court. I remember my dad taking me round showing me the big court rooms and it generally being a pleasant morning for a 4 year old. We then sat in a small room with a lady judge who decided to ask "what do you call your brother?" I assume to see if I had a cute nickname or a shortened version of his name. My response was "poo poo head". Not a snigger at all from the Judge, absolute silence and I repeated it two or three times apparently. I got a rather large bollocking from my mortified parents after that.

As a 38 year old, I would say they were correct.

Old one here, I was on a sixth form trip to Berlin. We were doing mostly all the ww2 and cold war sites. The most interesting of them was the Stasi police prison. The tour started with an intro by our guide who as with most of them at the time has been a political prisoner at one point. He asked if there were any questions before showing the intro video and I decided to pipe up"what were you in for?". Moments after I said it I realized how insensitive that was. The poor bloke welled up and said just watch the video. Turned out he was brought in as a young child with his mother who suffered a lot in the prison through physical and psychological interrogation. The tour of the site shed light on how awful the place was in great detail. Still feel awful about that question 20 years on.

I also want to see meat madness done properly as a massive meaty/fat guy battle royal - giant sized ring about 30 ft wide with whatever big buggers they can find who are still alive and active(ish) eg: Paul Wight, Rikishi, Akebono, Great Khali, Giant Silva, Meng, Omos, Mark Henry, Big Bill, a selection box of chunky Samoans, then add in some jacked/big muscle guys  like Cage, Hobbs, Breakker, Lesnar, Big E etc etc and have them slap each other about for 10 minutes.

now that gives me an idea for a tournament for the AEW "Little n large" Championship - teams of one superheavyweight and one lightweight compete for the latest one of Tony's trinkets.

Almost nothing nowadays, I watch the YouTube clips of WWE and AEW and probably about 50% of each's PLE/PPVs even then I skip or speed watch a lot. Time is precious as an adult and I just can't spare enough. I'd love to watch more but I find indy shows with long matches just too much. What I'd love to find is a promotion with easy to watch hour long shows, larger than life characters, I don't need work rates or realistic characters. If anyone knows of anything let me know. 

I think when WWE go to netflix next year my viewing will pick up through ease to watch, download shows and watch at my leisure. Always annoyed me you can't download network shows for when I have long flights or busses and would happily watch a few PPVs etc.
