  1. I've started watching ROH TV again for the first time in about 3 years as well as whatever big matches I can from the last couple of weeks (Supercard and Masters Of The Craft). I was really hoping it would still be shit but I have to be honest, I've been enjoying it immensely.

Cody looks to have improved dramatically and is nowhere near as boring as I'd heard he was. Punishment Martinez looks like a star. Some interesting fat guys on the roster. The TV still feels a little inconsequential and seems to suffer from a similar taping schedule to Impact, although not quite as bad but for now while I reaquaint with the talent it's fine. The womens division is really fucking weird though. There's so much out there but they seem to have picked a real hodgepodge of people, some of whom are REALLY bad. Sumie Sakai seemed like an odd choice of first champ. I'm not fucking watching NJPW so this will be my only exposure to the current crop of Jap guys.

I'm still a little confused as to what I'd get for my 9.99. I'm not sure it's everything, or that there my be too much (house shows that get put up?) so while I can watch the TV show on Fite for free that may be enough along with youtube.

  2. I never got the chance to watch 205 Live last week before Mania but the completist in me had to go back and check it out.

Well I'm glad I did because Buddy Murphy and Kalisto TORE. THE. HOUSE. DOWN. Like, MOTY contender. It won't be long before Murphy 'misses weight' because this is the talent that Dolph Ziggler fever dreams he is every night and he must be seen by the masses.

Also, in line with 'all Japanese talent must be heel to flourish', Itami and Tozawa being dickheads to the Luchas has been a pretty gold feud so far. Tozawa's ludicrous 'YOU'RE FIRED!' schtick cracks me up everytime.

Go watch it. Seriously this show is no joke and has become compulsive viewing.

Tozawa/Kalisto from this week is pretty good too. I'll permit you to skip any minutes Tony Neese is involved in because he's dogshit.

  3. Good lord, Mustafa Ali is certainly trying his best to make us remember him. I actually want this final on the main show now. He's gotta win. He actually seems like he's too good to be slumming it with the cruiserweights. I wanna see him face AJ some day!

I notice Buddy Murphy was referred to as still being property of NXT too as if far greater things are destined for him aswell.

I find it very interesting that our main feud is a Heel vs Heel feud. that is pretty rare.

also, what do you guys think of the spiritual adviser stuff?i am a big fan of Jocephus and of NWA's booking, and he is quite entertaining to watch, but i cant help but think the original version of jocephus without the spiritual adviser stuff was more mysterious and interesting :/.

Aldis has flipped in whatever direction necessary in order to retain the belt during the crusade. Some bouts have ended in mutual respect and the offers of another shot, others, with a little history have ended in controversy and backstabbing. Aldis and Crimson have a friendship which Nick reneged on in order to win, and he doesn't respect Dreamer. He might be the face against Jocephus depending on how heely he gets with the possible formation of his group. The belt itself is the focus and the 'face' in all of this and I am completely alright with that.

It's unlikely but I can't help but feel Dreamer may win the belt but drop it back before China next month. Billy and Tommy are so close and he's such a mark for the belt that I can't help but feel Corgan may give him a quick reign as a thank you and a social media pop.
