This American Top Team storyline is garbage.

I'm also disliking that the X-division is currently being based around two guys whose primes were over 10 years ago, and two guys you could never seriously give a fuck about. And oh look, DJZ is back next week. You have a bunch of guys in masks to base this division off. They are all flippity flop Lucha Underground fantastico. Fuck Sonjay Dutt! And fuck Petey Williams unless he's doing the Steiner gimmick again, WITH Steiner.

OVE should have something far less regional as their tag team name. Ohio means nothing to anyone outside the US and not a lot to anyone within it.

His segments/matches got a lot of youtube views but that obviously hasn't transitioned into TV ratings or PPV buys. And he's a cunt.

Well I'm not sure whether I'm particularly into the 6 sided ring either, but all the in-ring action from last weeks show was pretty excellent. Maybe the infusion of the AAA guys has shown it in a better light recently.

I don't know how it would work, because they've clearly pigeon-holed the mum into being black/mixed race (or maybe they think we'll ignore that because WWE), but i'd somehow like to think this will end up as a case of mistaken identity/test mix-up and Gable, not Jordan turns out to be the biological son.

Up until today I honestly thought 'Great Balls Of Fire' had been some kind of joke that I'd missed out on. I mean obviously it's SOMEONES idea of a joke but without an explanation.

Extreme Rules was pretty godawful.

I'm guessing Bate and Dunne have met numerous times on Progress/Rev Pro/Fight Club Pro (the ones you've likely seen) etc shows among the probable 100 times they've faced off in singles action. How did this NXT match rate up there? I'm not sure how they top it!

As over the top and ridiculous the pairing of Kongo Kong and Laurel Van Ness is, her commitment to the character is first class.

KM is the worst thing ever.

As short as it was, the Garza Jr and Laredo Kid tag with Idris and the new guy was sooooo much better than the over choreographed and mapped out before the show feel of the X-Div 4-way. Three weeks in a row of Sydal opening the show too. I'd rather not.

No interest in the main event sadly. I accept the belt and what will probably happen with it but can't deal with these two against eachother.

Didn't really like the EC3 segment up until the whipping.

I'm intrigued with the Spud stuff but it's so weird how it started as a seemingly brutal hammer beatdown with a midget and has now gone full comedy.

In ratings news, Impact was back in the Top 10 at 10 with 135,000 viewers for the week ending May 7th. Most watched show on Spike that week had 204,000. A movie if I recall. Up to 309,000 in the States for this week with no NBA competition. 

Impact didn't make the Top 10 shows for Spike UK for the week ending April 30th. A dropoff from the debut would be expected I think but this number would have been somewhere between 90-120,000 I believe. The lead-in show which was a Police Interceptors episode (which is very popular on the 5 channels along with 'Can't Pay....') had 134,000.

151,000 viewers for the Spike UK debut (April 21st) putting it at No.5 on the Top 10 for that week, not far off the top.

Can't wait for his feud with Kongo Kong.

These two weeks of NXT have been excellent in my book. I even watched some of last weeks twice! So many talking points, much of which has been covered.

Dylan Miley and Dozovich (not on these shows I know) have to be two of my favorite shaped wrestlers of all time. Expecting massive things a few years down the line.

It took about 4 seconds to rebuild Itami.

Liv Morgan is a strange colour.

So many unknowns standing on that stage for Nakamuras' sendoff. But the same 4 women we always see in that tag match. I can't really see what will be achieved with Aaliyah. Especially since they've binned two awesome entrance themes for her already. It's time for Berenato and Rose!

Sanity are in desperate need of those tag belts in my opinion. Otherwise they are just a few hairy shitarses (not Young). They've kind of booked themselves into a corner though with AoP being the champs and Heavy Machinery on the rise.

Drew won't be down here too long. Looks like he's going to smash through some high level talent and head off to SD in a few months. I don't see the point of putting the belt on him and prolonging it.

I think they could do a pretty nifty UK Guys Vs Cruiserweight feud over on 205 Live (like an Invasion - I thought they were teasing it when they brought them all out on the stage a few weeks ago) and I certainly approve of UK Title defences on NXT. I pondered whether Neville might steal the UK title at some point and be a double champ before AA takes one of those belts. I have no issue with Aries being the UK champion for a short term especially with regards to bumping up interest in future tapings over here.

Why is Gran Metalik seemingly exclusive to the Main Event brand and not on here?! I admittedly have not checked out any of those intriguing tag matches he's appeared in on recent episodes yet so maybe he's shit now but I doubt it.

I really enjoyed the X-Division main event, but Andrew Everett is a maniac. Not sure he's ever taken a safe bump. Fucking Sonjay Dutt - at least he got clobbered. Xavier looks good. Not gonna lie, always been a Low Ki fan so I'm open to a short run.

I thought we were getting LAX Vs Reno Scum but they obviously decided to keep the champs strong by having them squash someone instead. The jobber matches were not unwelcome. Kongo Kong is a good laugh.
