Ah well in fairness I don't think I ever saw the first two back in the Neville/Tyson days.
I dunno, I hope i'm wrong but I just have a feeling.

Ember Moon has the worst facials. Especially bad when someone is interviewing her and she'll go through 12 expressions in the blink of an eye.
I feel there's potential for this to be the worst Takeover.

Go get yourself acquainted with what is surely the promotion to watch in 2018 as Billy kicks off his 20 year plan. Tapings begin in Spring last I heard.

I really don't see this Ronda/Asuka match at all as the choice they would go with because one of them would have to lose and i don't think that's going to happen to Asuka until she has at least won the title.
Ronda vs Charlotte I can totally see. They might turn Charlotte again or Ronda will heel it up backed by her crew.
A multi woman tag does seem the best option though.

I think they only keep Aliyah because she resembles Arianna Grande.
-
I quite enjoyed Doering vs Zeus! Have they got anymore hosses in AJPW like that?
Not impressed with the two juniors contesting the GHC Heavyweight title though Not sure what I expected from a promotion that made Eddie Edwards their previous champ though.....

Haven't watched the match yet, although it has been posted in full by Impact, but for those who are waiting for the UK airing here's a couple of pretty good preview vids:

I can't understand why Aliyah and Lacey Evans remain employed actually. Absolute dogshit, the both of them. Similarly I can't see where Aichner and Roderick fit in here and never on the main roster. They need a clearout or everyone needs an awesome gimmick like Velveteen Dream. Maybe Roddy can be the next incarnation of Regal's 'Real Man's Man?'............ Matt Hardy could have dumped a bunch of them in the Lake of Reincarnation.
Did they hire Toni Storm in the end?

It sucked.
What's 'Redemption?' A new PPV?

PUNQ is back! I love it.

Watch the buildup if you haven't already....

Is this real talk or it being hyped?
Considering the lunatics booked in it i'd assume it will be bloody and Sami Callihan is borderline reckless at the best of times so yeah, it might be a bit too much for Pop. He's just accidently almost killed Eddie Edwards with a baseball bat in a regular match.
There's talk that the match might air on Twitch in the US but i do imagine it will be shown in our version on Spike UK. No ones watching on there anyway.

The title has been retired. When i first read it i just assumed it was a nod to Duggan picking the tv title out of the trash before that went away too.
What is confusing at the moment is the status of the Barb Wire Massacre match and whether or not it's airing this week due to it being too violent.

Laurel Van Ness will make a fine addition to the NXT roster.
-
NWA's Tim Storm and Jocephus will be contesting their grudge match that's been building in an 'Empty Arena Match' this Sunday at the Impact Zone.
There's an obvious joke about the Impact Zone and 'empty' that you won't need to make.

Undisputed need to be packed back off to ROH. Shite.
It's no wonder they put the belts on them. None of the other teams even need them. Even Sabbatelli and Moss!
-
Sounds like he'll be back just in time for Survivor Series and 2018's iteration of the Shield reunion.
-
A lot of that rings a bell.

Appreciate the link because it actually made me watch a New Japan match for the first time in about 6 years, but unfortunately it did kind of confirm what i'd feared: the idea of what the match could be in my head is always better than the outcome. Rainmaker aside, it was boring.
Was this the main event?
EDIT: I can appreciate Naito must have improved quite some since as this was 4 years ago. That fan made hype video above is decent at least.

Watched (half of) 205 Live this week due to Itami. Hardly life changing. Infact it was shit. This poor guy is fucked over here.

Seems that MLW is back. Last I heard of them was around 2002-04 when they were trying to be the new ECW. There's a pretty stacked line-up for the next show in January kinda reminding me of how excited I was 15 years ago when they first formed......

Saw this knocking around and thought some of you may enjoy it:

I don't know if Dream is actually injured or it's a way to have him cost Black his match in the 4-way or for the title for their feud to continue. Similarly, Ciampa must be back fairly soon and to have him cost Gargano the title or opportunity is a great way to kick start that one back in. Gargano can't go up to 205 or whatever until those two have murdered eachother for a few months surely?

It's not about money. The NWA is already better, with a three man roster and a bunch of camcorder video footage!
When i'm more excited about a 53 year old man who can barely wrestle, the prospect of Jack Swagger turning up, and Magnus as the champ for most of 2018 you know they've got a problem.
I can't get on board with anyone, and it will continue, who thinks money can be made from Del Rio, Sonjay Dutt, Sienna, Abyss and various recycled indy talent that they've tried with time and time again.
On the subject of Magnus, I was sad when I heard he'd won the belt, but then I saw this and realized there's a fair bit of mileage in having him be an annoyingly hard to defeat wanker heel:
I'm still not sure why they did the change on a CZW show though.

In some extremely minor but surprising news Impact managed to break into the 5Spike Top 10, at number 4 no less, for the week ending 14th January with 143,000 viewers. Austin Aries = ratings apparently, even though people mistakenly tuned in for a debut that happens next week.
