Jimmy Havoc has been thorough shit, and the worst part of any promotion I've watched last year.
I can say that AEW will at least attempt to make us care about him though. But I don't like that signing and I can't for the life of me see what so many promoters, least of all this one, do.

Okay, I just watched my first episode of ROH TV in many years, and I'd like to know what the deal is with the NWA champion Aldis being on the show? Is there a deal between the companies or something?
Yes. Corgan has blagged his way to ROH hosting NWA title matches and the two promotions are co-hosting the return of the Crockett Cup tag tournament in April. I wouldn't be surprised to see an NWA Title match at MSG, or Aldis somehow being involved in a triple threat or multi man ROH title bout, but I expect the first one more. Dave Lagana has also been producing the 'Pinnacle' series of videos on Youtube for ROH alongside NWA's own 'Ten Pounds Of Gold' and 'One Nation' series.

Nobody is getting released. You just let me know when all the jobbers contracts expire so I can tremble in fear at the thought of Nick Nemeth main eventing All Or Nothing 3.

I'll be having a crack once the weigh ins come in. Wanna see what Dillashaw looks like before I back Cejudo.....
Probably gonna mix it in with the footy though so I don't have to pick the dodgy fights. The Manchesters, Spurs and Liverpool all look dead on this week to sweeten it up a bit. Or a catastrophy as usual.

An excellent start to the year for Impact (I hope some people actually saw it!). All the major players were focused on and a clear direction of several new feuds were put in place. When you see the roster all together on a show like this you realize how strong it is. If they could just get a thousand more into an arena to watch it on a regular basis. A few more years of consistent PPV's and TV like this and fingers crossed....
Just to be clear, Steiner returned purely to get a lapdance from Scarlett Bordeaux. He is the fucking man.

Twas a good PPV. That tag match was spectacular! One of the better Lucha Bros matches I've seen. I really liked the look of the show as well. Thought the graphics, ring apron and general throwback TNA feel were spot on.
I can't help but think Cage and Tessa would be better champs going forward than Mr and Mrs Mundo though......

I hope that they'll at least throw us a couple of names during this press conference tonight otherwise just a reveal of where and when Double Or Nothing is taking place is going to be a bit of a letdown and leave everyone guessing for another 3 months.
Unfortunately not knowing the status of the Lucha Underground contracts going forward (because I don't think they're going to get Pentagon and Fenix for example) means the only names I can muster up are Trevor Lee and James Storm. Grim

I love you PUNQ. And as usual I shall attempt to get back into AJPW on your advice and fall away by April

I don't actually think they'll start doing TV for quite a while but they've picked a hell of a time to start challenging WWE for quality when you've got shows as good as recent Smackdown's to compete with. 'Tuesday Night Dynamite' wasn't it?

I think Taven has been fantastic since he lost his hair and i'm more than ready for a proper title reign, which however I could see being held off on for another year maybe now he has his fake belt.Â
Cobb as TV champ was a perfectly fine choice. Way too early to turn him into Samoa Joe 2.0. Gives him plenty of opportunity to smash through the undercard and develop a bit more and way better than another Kenny King/Silas Young or even Scurll reign.
Scurll seems a bit more likely to dethrone Lethal at this point but they could do a lot worse than throwing a curveball champ in their. One of the new guys (although mainly Bandido) or someone (Japanese!) from New Japan.
I've seen a few big shows but I've existed mainly on the TVÂ product and it ticks along fine for me. Nice easy viewing. Sort out that womens division though. Klein is the best of a shoddy bunch.

I’ve only seen the first match so far but the new Rev Pro show on Free Sports that started tonight looks really promising.
Someone has definitely put some cash into the production becasue it looks and sounds far better than the Strong Style Evolved shows they did earlier this year. No smudges on any camera lenses.
The crowd seem really well mic’d and they’ve flew Kevin Kelly in, which I’m a big fan of. They also did a neat little “Rules of Pro Wrestling,” segment at the start, similar to what you see at the start of MMA shows. It’s got a great look and feel. Like a late night boxing event.
Also, most important of all, they don’t cut the camera angle every three seconds.Â
Honestly, I’m only one match in but this already feels like everything World of Sport could and perhaps should have been.
Yeah I really like the vibe of this show and will absolutely watch it every week. Pretty much agree with everything you said. Considering they will use almost entirely different talent for the most part to NXT UK, between the two shows you've got quite a lot of the UK pool covered.

I thought he was massively improved in the main event of NWA70, I mean, I thought that was a great match and he seemed less sloppy.
There's a lot of speculation about what Cody does come January and this result neither confirms or denies that, especially if Corgan decides he wants to promote a 3rd bout.
It may just come down to the fact that Aldis must be much cheaper to use right now. Or it could be anything. Time will tell.....

Those 4 weeks of Mexico tapings were the absolute shits and that wasn't my favorite Impact PPV either. Feels like they took a step back after Slammiversary and the excellent run up to that. Hopefully they can get some momentum back now they are back in the US. I think the Melrose will be just fine for TV but it felt a little small for the PPV.
-
Those original GFW tapings were at the Orleans, and Impact will now run Sam's Town in November I believe, where ROH were indeed back in February or something.
-
I've certainly seen her rush through as many sexy poses/mannerisms as she can in her Impact debut and backstage vignettes since but yeah I would maybe attribute that to nerves or the pressure of being told we need you to be the sexiest girl in wrestling.
That AAA debut has 4 million views now.
-
It was mostly dull in the early going but the last hour was decent. This IS probably their least important PPV of the year though, no? I'm not really sure why they run Vegas. Most of the peeps in the tiers were probably papered. The TV tapings aren't gonna look good.

Well, no one is an 'MLW guy' yet. And yes of course Riddle wrestled elsewhere but he was front and centre of their initial promo campaign. They're still getting going but this is what I have noted from various reports. They've only been on TV for 4 months. The show has only been available worldwide on youtube for 8 weeks. They have some money behind them and given recent events elsewhere always have to be taken seriously. Sinclair WERE quite happy for ROH to tick along. Impact has decided they are in Indy with TV and have a low budget to run with. If All In is grossing half a million dollars at the gate and Fite TV grossed a million in purchases over that weekend someone like Vince is asking why is that not our 1.5 million dollars? Or the shareholders are. That's competition regardless and you don't want other upstart promotions gaining traction (with TV backing) and turning that lost revenue into 2-3 million say, and on a more regular basis. Trips wants that revenue in the future. That's why he's building now for when he takes over to make the main roster product more non-WWE fan friendly and not alienate those fans who attended in Chicago (yeah I know they've probably all got the Network even if they won't admit it!).
-
Matt Riddle was also a main player there before he got signed. Now MLW is signing guys to contracts to avoid this.
Triple H and Steph met personally with then MLW Champion Satoshi Kojima in 2003. Even then they were trying to hijack talent. Different landscape I know. You can bet your life Tripper knows all these promotions (he's probably been letting Joey Mercury wrestle on them to scout talent!), especially ones with national TV deals on what appears to be the Sky Sports of America.
