Absolutely brilliant Rumble matches. My only grumble participants were Kelly Kelly and argubly Santino but they did reek of last minute Sasha replacements. I'm sure she kicked off again when she learnt she wouldn't be winning and would get done by Charlotte last. I'd like to believe that they omitted her to avoid jobbing her to Charlotte again but I don't think they like her!

Men's surprises were exactly who I thought and entered pretty much on cue but Keith and Riddle didn't last long enough. I WAS expecting Goldberg and as they didn't get the deal done that would explain Riddles quick exit (other than rumoured altercation with Brock - but he was already eliminated). Lee could have legitimately been in the final 6 at least. I had no doubt Heavy Machinery wouldn't make it and when they pulled Rusev and Lashley I was not hurt but replacing them with The OC and Cesaro was unfortunate, moreso the OC who didnt help AJ win.

Anyhoo, give me Lesnar/McIntyre and Edge Vs Styles at Mania all day long.

I have a feeling Impact will somehow become No.2 at some point. Something involving a mass cash injection and them creating some sort of developmental centre to create their own fresh stars. Maybe Corgan involvement ha! NWA will continue the studio stuff for another year or so and then will morph into the next stage. Which could be absorbing Impact.

As much as I enjoy MLW I don't see it lasting another 3 years to be honest.

And if Stadtlander is only wrestling 4 matches in a month for AEW it's not surprising she's still got other bookings.

Another great show this week apart from the over long womens match. Swole has been better than that on Dark and Emi is just crap.

I'm at least intrigued by the Brandi faction.

Loved it this week. Storyline progression, backstage promos, cool vignettes. Incredible decision to put Stadtlander over Shida which I'm completely on board with. I actually wouldn't have minded if she joined Brandi and Kong.

Negatives though: Leva Bates needs to be let go. She offers NOTHING. Should absolutely never be on Dynamite at the least, squashed or not.

Also, somebody needs to turn Pentagon into the Lucha Underground version pronto because this version is absolutely fucking shit to be honest. And drop the Zero Miedo bollocks because it's absolute cringe when he does it 75 times a match. It doesn't even mean anything. Of course you're not afraid of Christopher bleeding Daniels!

I think tonight's line up already looks more exciting than last weeks show. What did NXT announce? Killian Vs Priest. I don't recall anything else.

A fucking mess of a show really, but that is the first time I've had to say anything like that about AEW.

So one of 'The Butcher and The Blade' is Braxton Sutter/Pepper Parks?! Fucking Braxton Sutter?!! They looked cool at least, and if that means Allie doesn't wrestle anymore I'm all for it.

I completely buy that DDP would batter both of those two (MJF/Wardlow), in exactly the same way I still buy Billy Gunn as legit. MORE.

Who is responsible for training Bea Priestley? It's rhetorical as I assume nobody did. One of the all time worst. Stadtlander on the other hand has bags of potential. She was good on Dark the other week too.

With regards to the female roster doing promos, and I know it's not the answer but quite a lot have occurred on Dark. Shida did one a few weeks back and it was adorable. I did not expect her to have better (or any!) English than the likes of Asuka, Kairi or Io. We've heard from Nyla Rose in the past, Big Swole (0-4!) and quite a lot about Shanna. But yeah fuck all on the main show bar maybe Riho and Britt.

Could we see Ryback getting involved with this? Would we want him? I think he could offer something...... Killer Kross should surely be coming onboard if NXT doesn't come calling. I imagine he's waiting to see if there's a chance. It'd be a shame to split him and Scarlett up (unless they've split up) and I'd have preferred to see them both together in AEW, mainly because I don't know how either will fit into the WWE Universe. Get Jacob Fatu in as well once MLW is done with him or can't keep him.

 

I can't believe I'm asking this but how did all this Rusev/Lana/Lashley thing start? I must have missed something. Why aren't Rusev and Lana getting along?

I honestly can't believe how awful this show was.

Watched it on the Hub (few hours late grrrrrr). Loved it, can't wait for the next one. Job done.

Pity about the cuts but I don't feel too cheated. Can't be the version that airs at 8.20am though!
